Product is fantastic

Product is fantastic, i give as gifts now to by mother, sister and daughters-in-law. Only down point is the custms charges leveled when trying to take delivery. Be aware that the british customs can add a significant amount to the cost of the item.

I have nothing to say about the product…

I have nothing to say about the product itself, it s good quality and i dont regret buying it.
My experience at the store in Brussels was awful, the sell woman treated us in a very bad way, shouted at my mom because she tried to look at a bag that was in the shelves in a weird way and we were left very surprised and disappointed. I dont even know why i ended up buying the bag after what happened, i regret not just speaking up and walking away. It was kinda traumatic experience and i ll never go back to that store.

I’m very disappointed with this…

I’m very disappointed with this purchase. My package was stopped at the border due to a high customs duty that I was not clearly informed about during checkout. Without paying this duty, the parcel cannot be released.
Shipping was already very expensive, yet there was no clear warning about customs duty — only a general link when I contacted support. Customers should be directly informed before payment.
Because of this, I now have to wait about a month for the parcel to be returned and to receive my refund. I order from Europe often and this is the first time this has happened. Very frustrating experience.

Since the United Kingdom is no longer part of the European Union, customs duties and import taxes may apply to orders shipped from Europe. These fees are determined by the local customs authorities and are unfortunately entirely beyond our control.

We are neither able to accurately anticipate these charges nor cover them, as they do not depend on CABAIA but on the regulations in force in the destination country.

We understand that the return timeframe can be frustrating, and of course, we remain available to assist you until your refund has been received.

Shame on Cabaia

I have a Cabaia back pack, bought from a shop in Edinburgh. It is not waterproof and it rains a lot in London (where I live).

I bought a rain cover from Cabaia online. The delivery was delayed. Then I received an email saying it had arrived - it did not! Weeks went past.

1. Cabaia had me asking my neighbours and searching for the delivery.

2. Then they said they will enquire with the delivery company - I must wait.

3. They said that because of the inconvenience, they will offer me a “promotion code”.

4. Then I get an email telling me the refund is being provided. The rain cover is on its way back to them, “they have an ongoing problem with UK customs”.

My questions;

Why are they selling items to the UK, if they know they have a customs problems?

Why are they saying they will offer a discount code, encouraging me to order more, when they know they have a problem with UK customs?

Where is the discount code?

My bag, uncovered in the rain, is now soaked and damaged - I tried to protect it but Cabaia obstructed this. What will they do about this? Probably nothing.

Needless to say, I am not impressed.

To be fully transparent with you: at the moment, we are indeed facing some issues with UK customs. Some orders arrive without any problem, while others are unfortunately blocked or returned, without any clear or consistent reason.
We are currently in the process of changing carriers to make deliveries to the UK more reliable, but this transition takes a bit of time and, regrettably, can lead to situations like the one you experienced.

Many orders are still delivered successfully. We’ve therefore chosen to continue shipping to the UK while closely monitoring each shipment, rather than completely stopping access to our products for all UK customers.

Finally, regarding your backpack and the damage caused by the rain: we’re truly sorry that this situation impacted your bag, especially since you ordered the rain cover precisely to prevent this. We absolutely don’t want to leave you without a solution, and we’ll get back to you to see together what can be done in this situation.

Shipment lost

I placed an order on Jan 2nd, and have not received it yet (Jan 19th). I’ve contacted Cabaia last week to try to get some info about my order, but my email hasn’t been answered. DHL has not made changes on the website about the shipment state since Jan 7th… Don’t really know what else to do! I’m really disappointed after this experience, but really hope it could somehow be solved.

Update: Customer service just got back to me and solved everything. Thank you very much!

My experience with three bags

I've bought three bags in the last two years and two of them broke after one year. It was impossible to get the warranty for the first one and I’m waiting to see what will happen with the second. But one year for a €100 bag is not very long. A bit disappointed.
