I went with a friend to cafe Nero in…

I went with a friend to cafe Nero in Eastbourne for a coffee which is my favourite coffee shop as I like the coffee there. My friend did not drink coffee but like milkshake, so I ordered vanilla milkshake for him. He tasted it & said it’s not milkshake, it’s milk vanilla essence & ice, he did not drink it & it’s rather expensive for milk & ice & vanilla essence. I talk to the staff about the issue & he said that’s how we make milkshake. If anyone wants milkshake, do not get it from cafe Nero. I was rather disappointed as ice cream should added.

Stingy sandwich fillings

I queued for 20 minutes at Cafe Nero in Ashford outlet and then paid £5.25 for a ham and cheese panini that had very little filling apart from black pepper. Very disappointing. The tables were slow to be cleaned too.

Disgraceful, disgusting, abysmal customer service

I had to place a phone call to Caffè Nero last week after i couldn’t drink the frappe, which was made so poorly
I asked those on shift to change it and even pay for it again, because the one I was given originally looked like dishwater. The other man who didn’t even serve me the first time, horrible frappe, completely was terribly rude and just went “no I’m not serving her” How dare he? I never had a problem with him, so why is he getting involved? I didn’t have a problem with the other guy. I had a problem with the disgusting drink I was made and if there’s a problem, as the Customer, haven’t I got the right to ask for another drink and not pay for it, even ? I offered to pay!! The man was too bothered I didn’t like his colleague drink…boo hoo! It’s my right to ask, but ask for another drink and pay for it and be told no. “I am not serving you” in the most foul disgusting way, by the way man with glasses, can ever make drinks, rushes, bad attitude, and can’t be bothered, he doesn’t give a hoot about his job or ruining your brand, and that tall rude miserable ans morose dude, with the long hair, ponytail, they both are an are absolute disgrace.
A and G are the only people in this whole place, who are decent, civil and friendly and happy with the customers, the other two, actually are so miserable, it’s damaging to one self. They are so miserable, they’re always arguing with other customers, and your reviews on your website are fully about rude staff, and argumentative staff,. I’ve seen it in the past. The place is always looking filthy when they’re on shift, they do not tidying, piled up cups and plates on table, I have to ask for a dishcloth and good forbid, me as a disabled person needs the loo, they begrudge giving you the key to the disabled loos . I have never seen more ignorant, rude and maliciously unhelpful, unfriendly staff in all my days, and I’ve been alive over 200,000 days!! I have been coming to this branch since it opened in the late 90s early 2000s and I’ve never ever had a problem before, and is my local branch with the lavender hill one, where I have never had a bad coffee or a rude, ignorant, or unfriendly unhelpful staff member!
So for me to make this complaint when I did, and have had to write to you by email twice before, once you answered, once you ignored, I am telling you, it was appalling, humiliating, even my old mum walked out in disgust!! 80 yrs of age, nothing phases her, but these two absolutely phased her and embarrassed her. These boys should be nowhere near Customer Service, I know customer service, it’s my specialty, they don’t want to serve anyone, all they wanna do is chat, Talk to each, other mess around and be on their phones, oh by the way, I forgot to mention this on the phone the other day, but last week I went in, there was nobody in the shop, except a couple of people sitting down. There was nobody at the till or waiting to order and I stood there for seven minutes and I deliberately didn’t say a thing, as I just wanted to see how long it take the person, ( him again, The same one, that was rude to me, the morose ponytailed ignoramus) It took him seven minutes to look up and acknowledge me, and also, thank you for not getting back to me, you were supposed to get back to me by now. I’m going to the retail ombudsman, because I paid for a service, and I did not get it.
Please stay out of Caffè Nero when those two boys are there, you will leave upset and exasperated and distressed and humiliated, like me!

This lunchtime I received the worst…

This lunchtime I received the worst customer service at Nero Buttermarket Ipswich at 13.20. It was pouring with rain and the server informed me if I needed to use my coffee club App I would need to stand in the rain as he was unable to offer me 25% reduction manually. Unlike Coffeelink who can. There is a 4G blackspot at the serving area. Absolutely disgusted to be asked to stabs in the rain

Bad service

Hi, on Wednesday the 23rd of July, at Caffè Nero, 43 Frith St, London WV1 5TE, at 8.45pm I travelled almost 35 minutes to have a cup of tea with a friend I have ordered two cups of peppermint and a slice of cake, the customer service was really bad the person who serviced me was so rude she hardly answered your questions she did not give me a tray to get my order I had asked her, overall she handed me a cup of tea that I found inside of a hair strand, when I asked her really politely to change that she wasn't happy to do that and she didn't not apologise for the bad service plus when I thank her for the nwe cup of tea she didn't not responded, I'm so disappointed in cafe nero service. I hope hope te service get better after this complaint.
Thanks

Leamington Spa Filthy

Shires Retail Park, Leamington Spa - Filthy.
Staff were busy chatting to each other and preparing Uber Eats orders. No greeting of apology for the lengthy wait, just "what do ya want?"
Whilst in the queue, I was very uneasy about the conspicuous filth and lack of cleaning. The floor and fittings were all dusty and covered in old grime. I am surprised it has not been closed down by the hygiene inspectors. Before leaving I visited the toilet and was further disgusted at the abhorrent state of the toilet seat, pipes and floor. I have pictures but cannot include them here.

I honestly cannot get over the service…

I honestly cannot get over the service by Caffe Nero customer service team. I asked if I could still get stamps if I used a discount code in store and the friendly lady was like “yep” just not the free discount code. So I purchsed my coffee, scanned and paid. Bearing in mind this is just a small discount from being with Tastecard. I done this a couple of times and noticed no stamps had been added. I reached out to the customer service team and literally got the response you cant have stamps and a discount. I explained they need to inform their staff then as we are being told something different and that seeing as we are getting the wrong information the stamps should be added. They were very strict and were like “no”. Despite me asking for head office details and the MD they just completely ignore me.
They definitely need some training because to lose a customer over 2 stamps and to get even more negative reviews online (their service reviews online are shocking) shows they cant clearly run a business. Maybe reach out to Starbucks on some customer service tips. No apology, no gesture of goodwill, nothing!

Needs a clean!

Needs a clean!
Nero in Bath( 26 Stall st, Bath)
Visited twice, 8 weeks apart. Nothing looks like its been cleaned- shelves are really dusty, fly dirt on mirrors etc. A missing wall light has still not been replaced.
On the second visit, today at 11am, toilets had obviously not been cleaned, with both bins overflowing, dirty surfaces and floor and no toilet roll.
With so much competition you'd thing there would be more effort put in.

It looks so chic with its tatty old…

It looks so chic with its tatty old tables, wood effect floorboards and immaculate staff but how they can even dream of charging nearly £5 for the worst strawberry milkshake is beyond not just me but belief !
I've made my own milkshakes for years and started over 30 yrs ago when my daughter was a tot. 1 scoop of Losely Farm vanilla ice cream, half a dozen ripe strawberries then a good dollop of fresh green top cows milk, a good blitz and that's a real milkshake. Cost ? Less than £1. Cafe Nero? Price as stated but they fill it up with crushed ice which destroys the flavour, waters it down and made it totally undrinkable.
Don't get me started on the price of cakes and sandwiches!! Nearly £4 for a cake that reduces in size by what seems like the day, quality is not in question but I'd need to be a millionaire to buy anything from here without ending up facing bankruptcy.
Get your act together Cafe Nero. You're earning it so how about a few more staff? Just dig into what must be vast profits, give your customers value for money and please don't quote cost of raw ingredients etc etc you've got to be earning a fortune. Will I go back? Not a cat in hells chance.

Rudeness

I went into the Salisbury cafe with my disabled husband and asked for 2 iced lattes. The barista then put one saucer on the tray and I told him it was two. He then put a hot latte out and I repeated that I wanted two iced lattes. OK people get things wrong and I accepted that. However I was appalled when his comment to me was " make sure you get the details right next time". Actually there won't be a next time!

GREAT COFFEE HOUSE

Caffe Nero is by far the best coffee house! Not only is the quality of the coffee 5 stars but every Nero's I have been in the staff are SO FRIENDLY. From Brighton to Liverpool to London to the West of England. The premises are clean, serve great food and stocks are full and well supplied.

Fforestfach Swansea the Best

I have been a regular customer of Cafe Nero at Fforestfach Retail Park. I have on occasion did my work there while enjoying my drink. I liked the fact I could sit, use wireless and have access to a power socket. The staff were extremely friendly, joyful and professional. 2 staff in particular stand out, Ffion and Oskar. Always polite, cheerful and courteous going the extra mile. Highly recommend this branch. So far the best branch I have been to so far out of the Cafe Nero chain. The coffees and other drinks are excellent and very good for Non Dairy as well. Chai, Latte, Fruit booster and Frappes have been really good, and portions are generous.

Anyone else get offers on app that don't work?

Sent a voucher for a pastry. Followed instructions but was charged full price. Into 'settings' 'help centre' on app to notify. Nothing loads up on help centre, just a never ending scrolling circle. Sent a compliant via Google, received but no action to resolve the issue. Big company, big profits, make an app that works properly and act on legitimate complaints.

Falling from grace

This used to be the best high street coffee chain in the UK.

But in the past 2 years I've noticed their marketing team treating loyal customers with total contempt.

I get so many emails from them about offers that don't exist. Or offers that previously worked in the UK and ROI and no longer do.

I moved from the UK back to Ireland and noticed the app no longer finds Irish stores either (it used to).

Luckily local independent and Irish chain coffee shops totally thrash Nero on price and quality nearly every time. So Nero has real competition here.

I'll use my existing loyalty drinks vouchers and then call it a day with this UK business.

Best Black Americano in months!!

I was recently in Cafe Nero in Southfields where my Brother and I were served by the most delightful Barista called Sana. In an age where we can be so quick to complain and slow to praise, I would like to Thank Sana for not just being professional, she made my Americano perfectly all while having a delightful conversation with me, then seeing I had a walking disability was kind enough to assist by carrying our food and drinks to a table my Brother had
gone ahead to hold. Nothing was too much trouble for her but most importantly she makes excellent coffee, that's the best I've had in months in the main coffee shops, many could learn a thing or two from her! Well Done Sana ⭐ keep up the good work.
I Thank You!

What is going on in Cafe Nero Wetherby

What is going on in Cafe Nero Wetherby? Reduced opening hours, staff who think that they are doing you a favour serving you and throwing food that you have ordered to each other. I had previously enjoyed coming in here and found it to be a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment until a couple of weeks ago - there seems to be a change in staff and focus on getting paying customers out with open conversations between staff about what they need to do to get present customers out!! It doesn't make for a great atmosphere.

at a recent visit to cafe Nero at Edinburgh train station

at a recent visit to cafe Nero in Edinburgh station, I ordered an American with skimmed milk, an iced latte and a regular latte. When I took the drinks back to the table I noticed that the americano was black. My wife then returned to the counter, queued again and when she asked for some hot milk she was sworn at by the serving staff. It was a busy day at the cafe but there was no need to use abusive language.

Bath Southgate, horrid manager

The management of the Bath Southgate branch is disgusting, the poor barista behind the bar was left on his own from 2:30, he was told he could not close early by his area manger who had no sympathy and had to keep the store open all on his own until 7:45 while in clear distress after finding this out at exactly 2:30, the manager just got up and left him to deal with the chaos on his own. I have never seen a company treat their staff so bad. Isn’t this the first time it’s happened and this isn’t the only store it’s happen to. Disgusting behaviour and vile treatment of staff.
