I had a rather complex situation regarding 3 of my orders. There is no need to go into much detail of my problems, but Marcel Weber was the guy who made things easier for me and there is no way to say how grateful I am for all of his efforts.

He is the only reason why I'm giving it 5 stars. Otherwise it would probably be 2. I understand that there are a lot of requests during this "Black week" period, but responsiveness in general should be better anyway. Also, the email with tracking number is broken and you cannot click on the link (you can extract it from raw HTML only). Moreover, "My orders" page is not in sync with actual state. Payment stays open even the package is sent. One of my orders is marked as cancelled even though I received it. Your developers should check these bugs.

I am still waiting for all my packages to arrive and to get refund for 2/3. Hopefully I will not need to come back to leave a different review than this one.

Ordered a Nikon Z 105mm Macro lens almost two weeks ago. No dispatch email, no update on my missing order after several emails. Company have stopped responding to my emails and have simply seemed to have stolen 929 euro from me. Actually unbelievable. I've never encountered anything like it.

If you are selling your old equipment, never do it with this guys. I am still hunting for my lens and its coming to second month. The other day they say it is in Köln shop, i travel there twice and there is no lens there in my name. Horrible

I have always had a good experience with Calumet. Renting gear, and purchasing in-store, and online it has been a great experience.

Same sh... as other stores. I'm trying to sell my EOS RP - and by a new EOS R8 instead (also from Calumet). I would say the camera is in a awesome shape. No scratches, no dirt, just fine. Ok, it has 9k+ releases, but Canon says it is good for at least (!) 100k.
Anyways, they rated the cam (it's the complete set with the 24-107 in its original box) with 703€. I've sent the cam in, just to get a note that they are now offering 621€. I perfectly understand that game, customers usually agree since they already sent their stuff in ... but not me. To me it's not so much about the money, it's about that feeling being betrayed.
Oh, btw., they offered me 400€ fro my Sony RX100VA (with tons of accessories) - which I just sold for 645€ on "kleinanzeigen.de" ...

Returned 2 items as they were broken or not required
Calumet refused to refund one item claiming they had never received back.
Waited for item to reappear in inventory and challenged Calumet. Eventually got money refunded. Crooks and thieves

I will start with quality of "Used" items

I used this lot because I live in NL and have used NL CameraNU on several occasions for used gear and Calumet state they are partnered with CameraNU and therefore I stupidly expected the same level of service.

Camera body was badly marked round the body and barrel and was covered in what id describe as unidentified bodily fluids especially round the grip. Frankly it was disgusting and an unacceptable way to dispatch an item.

40mm lens was badly marked round the focus ring, clearly been dumped in a bag on many occasions without any care. Overall very poor

24mm Lens Disgraceful state, outer coatings completely rubbed off. Disgraceful state and to claim this lens was "Good" was simply a lie.

Lens adapter, I can't review this as after a week I still have not received the item. I complained it appeared to have been missed from order, bizarrely one hour after I complained it appeared on DHL register but still not received lens apology or any information. Disgraceful customer service.

Customer service? Non existant!
Disgraceful way to treat a customer I think and if you know what's good for you go to a different camera store

I will NEVER be back to Calumet!

Ordered a new Bowens trigger at the web shop 30. April. Two days later the money was drawn from my account and a few days later I sent a mail to get some information about delivery, but no answer. After more than a week and 3 mails they answered that it was sent and still no tracking information. Now more than two weeks after I still not have an answer or the ordered item.

Terrible client service. 1st the camera wasnt even at the store, they had to wait for the camera to arrive and then they would send it to me, what would take ages. Then I’ve asked for help and they took ages to answer and didn’t help at all. Would never buy nothing in there again

- 30/11 I placed and paid for an order of 1092€ with 3 items (2 on stock and one 1-3 months waiting time) and I was quickly sent the order confirmation

- 03/12 emailed them to add two more products NO ANSWER

- 04/12 emailed them to add two more products and ask aproximate shipping date NO ANSWER

- 06/12 emailed them to inform me about shipping date NO ANSWER

- 08/12 I contacted them through the contact form and they told me cause one item was out of stock they could ship the other items on 11/12.
I agreed

- 11/12 One of the items arrives(!!) never had any information or tracking number. Sent them an email to tell me how many packages I would expect and what is going on NO ANSWER

- 21/12 ten days later I had no answer, no news, no tracking number and I emailed them to cancel whatever they havent shipped. They replied that one item is on the way and they have forgotten to send me the tracking number.They canceled the third item and I hope with refund everything goes better.

I can understand mistakes, delays and whatever misshandling humans can do. But ignoring repeatdly your clients?? What is wrong with you people?

This is not a trustworthy company. As with over 90% of other reviews, I never received my products, or even a confirmation invoice of my purchase, or a delivery status.

I asked for a refund, the money was refunded and immediately withdrawn again. Luckily for me the company credit card didn't allow the transaction to go through.

I would not recommend or order from this company.

I don't understand how they have 3,9* in review.
We ordered lightmeters hoping to have it for holiday. It said on their website deliver in 1-3 days. They took money immediately after ordering.
They delivered 1 out of 3 products before holiday, the cheapest one, small part that we cant use without the lightmeter itself.
Then the cheaper lightmeter came when we already left for holiday.
Now we are back and the last one, the most expensive, still didnt arrive. They hold our money from 29.7., today is 20.8.
On their website pops up sign "Trusted shops guarantee" with 5 stars, which is apparently fake.
Never again buying from this shop

UPDATE: after I wrote this review, they answered that they don't know when they will receive the product and refunded the money. Anyway, I lost money on currency exchange and bank fee. If I knew that they were not able to deliver, I wouldn't order.

Shipped wrong item, no response from customer support and can't call from outside germany to the customer service nr (why?) Dissapoined and hoping to get the right item from them.

I've been a loyal customer of calumet for quiet some time now, have spent there 10k+ Euros in the last year alone, as I am need supplies&equipment for my business. They have always been relatively speedy and the price was relatively okay.

So the purchase-side is okay, but the service&support is lousy: I had an emergency (a broken down hard drive with unsecured images that I needed for a client). Support only gave unhelpful, stereotyped answers and took days to respond, did not follow up. When I eventually got through to a tech-guy, he said: "I don't know so much about technology"... I ended up repairing myself, securing the images and voiding the warranty, as I had no other chance.

Another service-person admitted, that Calumet had screwed up here, but offered only a meager 10% discount on a purchase that would have covered only a small fraction of my costs I have with the broken-down hard-drive.

They are more expensive than a discounter, but the support is just as lousy. And when it's urgent, they will probably leave you hanging.

Payment was withdrawed 4 months ago from my bank account for 13 rolls of film. I've received 1 roll.

No answers on my request to get my money refunded.
Never experienced anything like this before.

Money was taken from my account after which had received no product or further contact from this company. I ordered on line a month in advance of going on a trip as the item was out of stock in my local area. After two weeks of waiting I called the company who informed me that the item was out of stock. A few days later they paid a small amount of money into my bank account without explanation. I called my bank who then cancelled the order on my behalf and refunded me the difference minus money lost in foreign exchange rates. I was forced to go on my trip without the item I needed and time wasted trying to get my money back. AVOID this company !

Bought something (2week delivery) six months ago. Guess if I have it. Guess if I've heard from them. Guess how many mails I've sent. (I don't, I haven't, seven)

I only bought second-hand items and 35mm films from them. The second-hand film camera was as described and was delivered in a timely manner. As a thank you for my purchase and also for my birthday they sent me vouchers, which I used to buy films. As it is with films regularly, unfortunately, they were on backorder and this was not communicated on their website properly. So I waited/am waiting a bit longer as expected. Everything else was a good experience though!

This is a fraud! I have ordered 4 items for a total of 110€. All items were available when I did the order but it was not correct!!! After 2 weeks finally I have spoken with their support service and they told me that the items were no more available!!! I have deleted the order but they can refund me only 93€ becouse they don't refund VAT that I have paid!!

I have had an order for more than 2 weeks and I don't have any news of it, no tracking number no responses to my emails. A real disaster, avoid ordering online!
