Cambus Fencing Reviews 

Warning do not use this company! They ruined my mental health and affected my physical health by taking almost 9 months to do my garden. It still wasn't complete and they have not returned calls, emails or to my home.
We contacted Cambus Fencing and Landscaping to totally redo our garden due to a retaining sleeper wall giving way. I have small children and didn't want them to be hurt. I myself am disabled and needed something acceptable. Marc came out and seemed nice enough we discussed we wanted a brick retaining wall in place of the sleepers, decking renewed and over a bigger area. We decided to try composite decking instead of the regular wood. The wall would be big as it's the whole size of my house plot. Also my home is built on a hill so these areas would be dropping down in stages.
Marc was unfazed, he sized the area and sent quotes for the different parts of thr garden. He wanted money up front to secure the job we paid and waited and waited no one arrived. We called the shop and was answered by a cheeky voice informing us the job would not be starting until at least July due to finishing the previous job. Okay we waited again nothing, again we called and again a cheeky voice told us the job had ran over and we would need to wait.
The job eventually started late Oct early Nov. Marc's team arrived to remove the sleepers and get the ground ready for the cement. This was not an easy job. It was now freezing outside and the ground was solid. However we noticed a problem they where not touching the stairs leading down to the decking and wall? We questioned Marc's team and where told we would need to speak to him. We eventually got Marc after a week but he wanted to meet at his shop in cumbernauld? Strange he could of just spoke to us while he was there. So I dragged myself up and my husband and I went to the shop. The gate was down and no one answered. Marc's team where sitting in the works van outside the shop trying not to look at us. We called the shop and eventually Suzanne answered with we are on lunch. Anyway they opened and Marc explained the stairs where never in the original quote?? Eh how where we meant to access the new area?? We talked it out and came to a solution however further cost was needed right there and then due to their policy of add ons. We paid and left.
The cement was poured and with every pout from my top lawn the more the area collapsed. They let that set and Sent the bricklayers they built the wall over 3 days disappeared off site without a why and I later learned due to the cold temperature they cannot lay bricks due to the cement. Fine no problem the job was completed way before Christmas.
However we did not see Marc or his crew returning. Many emails and no answer calls went out. Marc began to answer only the emails sent. At this point it was nearing Christmas and new year. Surprise Marc closed for over 3 weeks and did not return to our property until February.
We had also noticed problems with the wall such as using 1 of my stair tiles within the wall to level it and its left sticking out for my children or anyone to hurt themselves on. They had ripped up or lower garden which was filled with child friendly bark and put this at my top garden to level it up. My husband had asked if they where removing dirt from the lower garden while digging down for the wall foundations if this dirt could be used to backfill my top garden and make it level. However Marc put dirt which had bark, bits of the membrane which was under the bark massive bricks and massive bits of cement all over our top garden. We questioned Marc and he said that's what my husband had asked for??? I could not let my children out into the garden and I was shocked to see how bad this was. No-one could walk on that?? We asked Marc to remove this as we had only wanted dirt to back fill the garden but he would not budge on the matter.
We where starring to be the talk of thr neighbourhood. Many Many emails where sent as the phone line went to answer machine and Marc's mobile was never answered.
They eventually returned in Feb 23 and started working on thr decking underneath to support the weight. This was start and stop and we hoped they would just finish the job and leave to be honest. We had complained about many issues my husband had found when expecting the work so far. Marc became increasingly rude with each email. Due to ripping up my lower garden which was covered in bark he said he would replace this as a gesture of good faith.
The wrong bark arrived and it lay on my driveway for over 4 months with no one arriving or doing anything about it and we had asked please take materials round the back so I could get out thr car with being disabled and having poor mobility. My husband had to find another space to park his car.
Then nothing happened we have been waiting ever since.
We eventually had to pay another company to finish the job. No word from Marc!

Warning: Unprofessional Service and Unresolved Payment Issue

I engaged Cambus Fencing & Landscaping LTD now trading as Bespoke Landscape Designs LTD for a landscaping project and unfortunately had an extremely negative experience. Despite paying a substantial deposit of thousands of pounds upfront, the promised work was never initiated.

Communication was sparse, and when attempts were made to address the lack of progress, there was a noticeable evasion of responsibility. The lack of transparency and failure to fulfill contractual obligations is deeply concerning.

Moreover, despite my efforts to seek a resolution, there has been no indication of an intention to return the deposit. This has left me frustrated and disappointed with Cambus Fencing & Landscaping LTD's unprofessional conduct.

I strongly advise caution to anyone considering their services. My hope is that sharing this experience will prevent others from facing similar issues with this company.

Please think twice before engaging with Cambus Fencing & Landscaping LTD as now trading under the name of Bespoke Landscape Designs LTD. My attempt to resolve this matter amicably has been unsuccessful, and I am left with both a financial loss and an uncompleted project.

Would highly recommend the company to anyone that asks.

When we recieved Cambus’ quote for our garden I was really annoyed at the price. Everything was broken down line by line and explained, and looking at it you realised how fair it was and it left no wiggle room for negotiation. Very rare for trades to do this! From this moment we knew that Marc and his team were the team for us. Transparency and clarity from the off and working with him we knew where we could save money

Rain and weather delays aside (no fault of anyone’s) work started with a complete set of ground works and site preparation laying the foundations for a quality and standard of work we could only have hoped for.

The relationship between client and tradesman is utterly vital, Marc and his team kept us up to date and worked with us on everything from Slab setting out, drainage and other adjustments that come up naturally on site.

We are very happy with what is phase one of our garden renovation and will be sure to contact Cambus again on the next stages.

I hired the artificial green cleaning machine from Cambus Fencing and Landscaping. Very easy process to book and pay. Machine delivered and collect promptly. Artificial green looks good again.

Marc and the guys were asked to finish a project that I had started. It took them no time at all and finished to a really good standard. Would recommend Cambus all day long.

Marc and his team are brilliant. Transformed our garden into a great entertaining space with loads of room for our dog and impending offspring to run around in. Delivered exactly what we asked for, and were really friendly and approachable.

I phoned Marc to get a quote for a repair to our fence. He said he was able to give me a quote the same day as he was passing by our house to get to another job. He fixed the fence the same day and did an excellent job. A huge thank you to Marc and the team - they provide a fantastic and reliable service which is greatly appreciated.

We initially booked Cambus Fencing and Landscaping to build two patios and a path in our new build back garden after nearly a year of having a sloped, lumpy and unusable rear to our home. After a bit of deliberation and honest advice from Cambus, we added artificial grass to the quote a few weeks before work was due to start, which was met with a can do, positive attitude. When work began, I was very impressed by Marc and his talented team - Adam and Jordan - a very hard working team who are not only great at plying their trade but also great guys that nothing was a bother for. Despite some delays due to weather, we were incredible impressed by the amount of work these three gents can do in a day. They very kindly put up our decorations in the garden - which went over and above their duty but did so enthusiastically and without complaint - we were so thankful for their help. We are very happy and grateful to have gone with Cambus because the quality of the work shines through. We cannot wait to enjoy this garden over the many years to come.

Cambus Fencing & Landscaping did a wonderful job on our garden. From consulting to design to actually building it, they were incredibly friendly, professional and knowledgeable, answering any questions I had about the process. They took into consideration all our requests including making it as dog friendly and as dog safe as possible. The garden looks amazing and vastly better than the mud pit that used to be there! I highly recommend them and we will be using them in the future for our front garden!

Delighted with the job Marc and the team done on my garden. The garden was overgrown and untidy and I really couldn’t use it. The guys came over when stated to give me a quote and talk through some ideas I had. They went away and designed something I was really happy with. Communication was brilliant and nothing was a problem for them. Even accommodated me with work and we’re able to work around me. Yet more excuses from this company all of which should be taken with a ton of salt. There was no mention of the numerous emails over a period of twelve months which we have kept detailing how often they didn’t turn up. I can only refer any prospective clients to check previous reviews on honest websites where there is a catalogue of evidence from customers who went through exactly what we did. I wish we had read them first. Case closed!

We are delighted with the work the lads from Cambus Fencing did in our back garden. Our garden had no character at all, just a path with some grass and an annoying slope.

Mark listened to our requirements and also made some suggestions. They arrived to start work on the Monday and the job was complete by the Friday.

We are delighted with the finished result. We now have a garden with different areas, on different levels which has really opened the garden up. It's the ideal space for entertaining, kids to play and also a safe space for our dog.

It's now a garden we want to spend time in and we are looking forward to the warmer weather.

I did try and start to do the garden at the start of Covid but was pulled back into the office quickly. My boring vision was straight lines but wished for more shaping and that is what Marc designed and then built. Can’t wait for summer now. Thanks again!
