CanaDream RV - Toronto Reviews 

We were very satisfied with the service provided by the company. The staff were friendly, easy to talk to, and answered all of our questions. The handover of the RV was excellent — we went through the condition together and documented everything properly.
We had a wonderful time with the RV, and the vehicle itself was in excellent condition. The return process was also very structured and smooth, which we really appreciated.
The only thing that slightly dampened the experience was that the RV wasn’t fully fueled when we picked it up. Although we were told to return it with the same fuel level, this rarely works out accurately in practice, and it usually means you end up paying more.
Apart from that, everything was great.

Canadream Nightmare. We had booked a trip from Toronto to Halifax. We put our food in the fridge and freezer (by no means overfilling it) . When we got to our first destination, it was obvious the fridge wasn't working. Why was this not checked in Toronto.
We did all the troubleshooting steps without success then called assistance. They said to go out and buy a "cheap cooler" and switch the fridge off for 4 hours. By this time our frozen food was defrosted.
We followed instructions but by the time we turned the fridge on again, support was closed and it still wasn't working. Next day we called support and were told we had to make an appointment with a repair shop 4 hours away.
The following day we drove to the shop, which was way out of town, we waited 5 hours. Eventually we were told the fridge needed replaced and they weren't doing it.
We had to pay the $500 bill out of our own pocket. Honestly, Canadream really borrowed money from us to pay their own repair.

We returned to St John NB at 3pm. So much for our one day visit that we spent 4 hours driving to. What a waste a how very frustrating.
We were very tired, and annoyed at our treatment by Canadream. We called support who told us that since it was less that 5 days left out of out holiday, we couldn't have a replacement RV. even though it had been faulty since the start. Really, does nobody have any compassion.
Meanwhile our food was spoiled and swimming in water every time we pulled something out. We pushed back and were told that if we wanted an RV, we would have to drive to Truro and be there last thing this evening or first thing tomorrow. What happened to, "we will get you a replacement RV, you have been through enough".
Truro was a 6 hour round trip and totally unreasonable. we were tired and had no choice but to wait till we got to Halifax.
The week was a nightmare of keeping our food cool and climbing over coolers in the already small RV. It was hot and our cooler was filled with water every morning from the melting ice.
We got to the Halifax depot, not where we wanted to go, and spent almost 2 hours while we changed the fridge for our last 2 days. We asked if we could drop off the RV 3 hours later than scheduled and they agreed.

Two days later we returned the RV. We asked for some form of compensation for our nightmare week. We were told that since they had allowed us to return the van 3 hours late, all they could give us was $71. That wouldn't even cover the gas taking this monster around stores looking for "cheap coolers" and driving to the maintenance appointments, never mind the spoiled food and the waiting around while we were on vacation.
I told them that this was insulting. Eventually the manager said he called the company CEO and she authorized the refund of the money we paid for the generator package , which we didn't use anyway. A miserable $265.
So we take time off our work to go on vacation and spend it on a nightmare journey nursing a fridge that should have been checked before it left and a company that was more interested in damage limitation than helping a customer have a great week.

In the end they behaved like they were doing us a favour. And to top it all, the CEO knew about it too. Not a word of apology from anyone, not one. You let us down badly Canadream and I will be sure to share this with everyone who asks.

Friendly staff and good customer service.
Booking process was relatively simple and a human (vs chatbot) was only a phone call away to answer questions and provide clarification.

The unit used was great. Just the right size for the two of us. First time we have rented from you and probably will not be the last.

Personal, Service was competent and professionell.
Pick Up schedule was on time.
Great was the new RV….

The staff was very helpful with all of our questions, walked us through everything we needed to know. Online videos were a great resource to allow us to feel confident about our first ever RV experience. Would highly recommend Canadream to our friends and family.

We had an amazing trip and were able to create unforgettable memories along the way. Just like on our previous journey with CanaDream, the entire experience was comfortable, professional, and hassle-free.

The vehicle pickup process was quick and straightforward, with only a short waiting time. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout. Our motorhome was in excellent, nearly new condition, very well maintained, and performed perfectly during the entire trip. We experienced no issues whatsoever, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy our vacation.

This reliability and outstanding customer service are what make CanaDream stand out for us. After our second trip with them, we can wholeheartedly recommend CanaDream and would not hesitate to book with them again in the future.

We have had a really nice camper with all the Ammenities u need. Clean, functionall and free of damage.
The instructor Hector at Toronto Brempton branch wath such a blast! Friendly, technically well educated and funny. He even spoke english, spanish and german... Amazing dude!!!

We had no negative experience with our new CanaDream RV, neither with the employees.
Some items about the RV could have been explained some better.

Brand new vehicle, and very helpful staff during the pickup and dropoff appointments.

The staff were all very friendly and patient as we asked a million questions when we picked up our RV. The check-in & return processes were smooth & painless. The RV was clean & had everything we needed for our two week camping trip.

I’ve been using this company every year and I keep coming back because the service is excellent. There have occasionally been minor issues with the vehicles, but that’s understandable and never a major concern. What really stands out is how the staff handle any situation—they are always friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. Everyone I’ve met has been wonderful. No complaints at all, and I highly recommend them.

What can I say so far best campers rental company . Everything went fast since booking 6 months before rental time and all support on holidays and after when returned to base.Verry friendly team in Toronto . Definitely will use again.Regards Greg W

We were 4 families that rented the same category and paid the same price - our family was given a smaller space - an RV with no slide out dining area.
When asked why we were paying the same amount for a smaller space - we were told the lay out is such - but no one was able to answer why we got lesser space when we paid the same amount.

They charged us for a bike rack - and then emailed us the night before saying it’s not available.

The RV itself was great and the trip was great - the staff tho at station are not really knowledgeable or are willing to be helpful.

Great staff, great Service

A very straightforward arrangement from beginning to end. Booking, pick-up and drop off all super-efficient. The quality of the camper was excellent. I think, from conversations with other campers hiring vans, that the cost was extremely competitive.

Pick centre was very good, staff very helpful and gave fell tour of RV. The return of RV was easy with a quick check round and mileage check.
Now the bad point the slide out jammed and worked only on one motor. CanaDream breakdown asked us to try resetting, did not work. We ended up pulling it back in. Breakdown said carry on holiday (9days)without use of slide, not impressed after spending serious money. We came back to Toronto and they repaired it in 2hrs.

I would have given it a 5 star except for the heavy insurance cost and the 5000 deposit that is expected if you don’t want to pay that insurance cost, this really bumped up our budget by 40% so suggest you reconsider your deposit policy specially when it says that the 5000 deposit will be treated as a deductible even for unexpected instances. Other than that it was super comfortable the RV was in such a great condition and the checkin staff Tim whom we met at your Brampton branch was amazing and super helpful to us first timers!!
