Great sailing in a great location with a great company

Just had a fantastic week doing my day skipper practical course with Canary Sail.

The boat (a Jeanneau 37 Sun Fast) was a well looked after boat and perfect for the course and we had some great sailing in it. It was very clean and very well provisioned with good quality food and drink.

From the welcome drinks to the goodbyes we were made to feel very welcome from Jim and Joy, it's clearly a passion as much as a business and I really appreciated that.

Our instructor Phil was excellent and I learned a great deal over the week, he expertly balanced letting us get on with sailing with always being there the instant something did not go to plan. He also calmed nerves and prioritised areas where we felt we needed more practice like docking. Important to note it's a 6 day course and not 5 days which meant we never felt rushed.

The scenery was amazing, we saw wildlife like pilot whales, dolphins, turtles etc. Some marinas were functional, some were picture postcard perfect.

Overall a terrific week, we all got our day skipper qualifications and we'll be back for sure.
