TERRIBLE SERVICE. I have sent emails with no response. I have to follow up on all my emails at least three or four times. This "Law Firm" is nothing but a scam to get you to pay monthly fees with zero service. I haven't heard back from my attorney Abdul since 12/24 despite multiple emails. RUN!!!!!!
Response to their response -
That is not true . I also signed another retaining agreement to present my case and to be awarded 20% of any settlement.
Please review your files accurately before responding falsely .
It really hurts your credibility. Wait !!!! you should already know that because allegedly everyone there is a lawyer !!!!!!

Took months to get out a simple document, when initially informed it would be a matter of days — Breach #1 Providing false information on deliverables. Breach #2 Giving inaccurate legal advice multiple times, contradicting themselves, which was confirmed by the court of law. Client had to take the responsibility and blame for their erroneous, unethical, and unprofessional actions.
As other reviewers have stated, they then come back shifting the blame, smug and condescendingly and even go so low as to BELITTLE you. They know they are in the wrong and the court confirms and cautions of this type of practice done by this business. This company does not know the ins and outs of processes for each region and leave you unprepared, misinformed, and once they've collected their payment for the late, underprepared, and inaccurate work, they then ghost you and/or blame you, as other reviewers have stated (Breach #3). Gross, unethical, unprofessional behavior. Also, good luck reaching them through their phone as there is no way to leave a message, they won't call you back or leave you a message with a way to reach them or talk to them by phone (Breach #4). They leave you out to dry, run you around in circles and they know it, hooking you with a poorly done service, setting back your case and justice by withholding pertinent information for the client's legal dispute. There is no "justice" on behalf of Cape as they have negatively affected the case with their actions and negligence. Hope this scammy business gets shut down soon and as others have stated please hire a personalized attorney who will guide you through your case instead of opting for this shoddy "company". They could be clear with policies instead they run you around, withhold information and/or do not live up to it, give erroneous legal advice, and set back your case and potentially completely destroy the hard work and money you've put into it.

I had a dispute with my landlord and, unfortunately, found Capelaw while searching for legal advice.
I followed all the steps on their websites, uploaded evidence and summarized my legal matter in a PDF document to make the situation easier to understand.
The first scam I encountered was that AFTER making the payment, they showed me available dates, most of which were 1-2 months away from the date of payment. I requested an earlier date, but they claimed to be fully booked, so I eventually agreed to one of the later options.
On October 15, 2024, at 9:00 AM, I was waiting for my consultation but instead received a robo-call. I repeatedly said "hello," but no one responded. I was supposed to be speaking with Frank Palermo. I immediately sent them a screenshot of my call log and informed them of the situation, only to receive a LIE and false response from "Rachel," claiming I hadn’t answered the call.
Frank later called, apologized, and offered to reschedule, suddenly with MAGIC making himself more available. However, when I spoke to him, he had not reviewed any of the documents I had sent.
I resent my letter, describing the issue with supporting documents and proof. Frank called me 1.5 minutes later, claiming he had reviewed everything, yet he asked questions he should have already known if TRULY read my documents.
I later discovered that I actually had a claim, which I successfully pursued, even though Frank had initially explained I didn’t. He just did not go through the evidence.
I’m so sorry for the time lost I can't recover for those $30 Capelaw useless consultations.

This was a disappointing experience. The first demand letter had errors (misspelled my name, copied template language that did not fit my situation which I had to point out) and it was missing some specific details that I gave the attorney on the call. I paid for another call (even though I paid for the membership, I had to pay for a phone call to get immediate attention). After the second iteration of the letter came out, my name was still misspelled five times, and some necessary details were still missing. At this point, it was almost 30 days past the original call and my demand letter timing window was closed. I explained to Cape that timing was crucial multiple times throughout the process, and they seemed to hear me, but their response was not ever timely. I advocated for a refund when they did not revise for the third time in a timely manner and I was offered $330 back of the $760 that I spent. This was an incredibly frustrating experience and I will not hire them again.
Although Cape Law cited the holidays as a reason for not being timely, that does not explain the multiple grammatical errors and misspellings in both iterations of the letter, which prohibited me from "approving" the demand letter to be sent out. If Cape wants to do the right thing, they would refund 100% of my cost because they did not ever give me a letter iteration to review that did not require me to edit it for simple errors.

Not gonna lie. This was a waste of money. Idk if it was my lawyer Eric Fryson but I felt he was not prepared. He didn’t touch on any of the points I mentioned and of course he lost the case. Now I paid 30$ for a session that lasted 4 minutes. And they were no help. I lost so much money.

Cape Law helped me recover $1500 from a bad landlord last year. I am grateful for this. I very recently recoeved a settlement for $2050 after two years of fighting. Cape Law was instrumental in this settlement.
They are great at advocating for their clients and they are straightforward. I would recommend them.

Case loss and lots of fees associated with them practically doing nothing. Most people here seem to be doing this as moon light under a larger firm.
** Update 3 01/02/2025 **
3 update revisions in because Cape just wants to keep playing the "it's not us game" and revising their response. To anyone reading this, just search for "Cape Justice" for every 1-2 star review. Same story, different victim. Just admit that one of your team members gave bad advice and ultimately the judge found a way to side with the defendant despite the opposing counsel being only partially prepared. I did understand and decided to proceed with the case on Pro Se because the demand letter went "ok". No one "misunderstood." The reviews across the entire Internet is so bad that another poor dude under "Cape Law" had to defend himself saying that it's not his firm. I've filed a complaint with the TXAG. Keep gaslighting Cape Justice, you'll be found for something.
**UPDATE 01/02 TO CAPE'S REPLY**
Since Cape continues to insist that the "fault" is not theirs, and legally, that may be true. But consider the following:
1) Their demand letter was easily double what other firms wanted, this is partly why it was high
2) Their attorney told me to actually return the money to someone we just collected from the demand letter when we started the suit. Knowing that even there is a possibility of losing, this should've never occurred and we should've demanded the remaining legal fees it took to chase these neighbors
3) I highly advise anyone considering this team to look elsewhere. Their "managing" attorney in Texas asked me to take whatever the judges verdict was and give it to him. You can't look that up yourself? Please.
4) Emotional accusal vs. facts". Phone consultation with attorney as referred by "Yahel" advised returning $700 that the defendant paid prior to filing the case to recover attorney fee costs and stating that we reject this. It's clearly in the text messages in the case documents or else why else would I even send back money owed. This is just bad advise by the team at Cape Law. "Reflecting" only is gas lighting because this guy knows his firm is garbage. Phone call with an actual attorney around date 05/01/2023. Cape was also the only firmed retained for this case.
Truly a terrible experience. Repeat, stay away. Maybe all these TrustPilot reviews from other states are the exact opposite of what others have encountered on a search engine starts with a G using their domain name.
Any firm that goes Pro Se for things like this, just steer clear. Other firms go on your behalf in court, not send you on your own.

We used Cape Law to collect unpaid invoices to a client. Few days before the court date, client's son reached out to settle and pay the debt. Marcy negotiated and followed up with the client's son. She even keep us updated of the payments. She didn't even charge of the time that she communicated/negotiated with the client. Happy with the end result. She went above and beyond. Thank you Marcy of Cape Law.

It's been 25 days since I started a case with Cape Law. The plan was to send a simple Cease and Desist letter to person A for Libel per se.
It took 22 days to receive a draft of the form letter to review. It was addressed to person A, owner/ operator of company B. It told Person A that Company B wants Person A to cease and desist. Meanwhile the Person C, me, who is bringing the case, is mentioned nowhere.
It's as if they did not know anything about the case and let some Program ( Attorneys'r us?) just run the software to fill in the blanks.. and it only cost $200.
Currently waiting for the draft to be fixed, which could take another 20 days...
justice is not swift.
I'm filling out this survey before to service is complete.. I don't know how well/not it will finally end.

Reached out to cape law to help me understand small claims court in El paso Tx. Plaintiff sued me for 8000 but was only awarded 120$. The motion to dismiss purchased helped Aswell as the exhibits packet crafted by the attorneys. 100% recommend attorney Francisco. He had the patience to address all concerns and help me understand what my options were in this case. Attorneys and cape service were helpful and went above and beyond in tailoring their service to my individual needs. If you go well prepared to the strategy sessions and present the attorneys with the information relevant to your case, they will help you tremendously. Thank you for the prompt and surgical resolution to my case.
kind regards,
Daniel Montoya
