Leverage issue
As an EEA resident, I was offered leverage of up to 1:500 while trading with Capital.com.
During this period I traded using the leverage provided on the platform and ultimately suffered losses
Under MiFID/ESMA rules, retail clients in the EU/EEA are normally limited to a maximum of 1:30 leverage. Anything above this raises serious questions about which regulatory protections applied to the account.
EU/EEA traders who used Capital.com between 2022–2025 should review the leverage that was applied to their trades.
