I will never recommend this card to…

I will never recommend this card to anyone even my worst enemy. This is the worst Credit Card to ever have if you ever apply you’re only going to hurt yourself and your credit report. Do not use this card ever. Please share this comment with other people to make sure they are aware of how much of a scam they truly are. My personal experience was as I was building my credit I started off with $1000 then improve the credit limit to $4000. I went to make a minimum payment. Did not owe anything but the minimum payment so when I would think that payment, my account would’ve been to zero. When I made the payment through my bank, they said that they did not recognize my bank account. This is the same bank account that I have been using the whole time to make Credit Card Payment payments with Capital One.The lady on the phone did not speak really good. English had no authority to talk to anyone even a supervisor. They end up closing my account after attempting to make a minimum Credit Card Payment payment. After building my credit up with this card, they close the account because they didn’t recognize my bank account. This caused a decrease in my credit score drastically hurting my credit. If you ever want to have good credit, get an American Express card or other visa credit cards other than Capital One. They do not care about their customers. They do not care about your credit and I would never recommend that card to even again my worst enemy. It is the worst card if you are trying to build your credit. Again, do not use this card. If you’re young individual trying to build your credit. This company is terrible and does not care about customer service again. Do not use this card. All they do is scam people make false charges close cards and hurt your account and credit.

Is there no good customer service?

I was in my eight phone call with the fourth person on the final call. In All the calls, all representatives were very difficult to understand. Between their broken English and their phone service that was “blanking” in and out, it was frustrating.
Each representative was telling me their system works correctly despite the fact that both in the app and on the website there system courses send verification to my cell and they couldn’t verify my state issued enhanced drivers license.
This spanned several days and I’ll have to call back again as the last person I spoke with said changes take three days to appear in the system. Why wouldn’t they have said that earlier on?
I’m sure I’ll be calling back yet again, tomorrow.

Capital One is the ONLY people that I…

Capital One is the ONLY people that I have delt with that gives NO grace period for payments on your credit card. One day after due date, and they stick you with a late fee, and not a small one either. STAY AWAY FROM CAPITAL ONE !!

Loyal Customers are Punished

I have been a loyal Capital One customer for 3 years and always pay on time. I called in to their customer service line to see if they had any retention bonuses as I’m not getting quite the benefits of having the Capital One Venture credit card with the annual fee.

I spoke to a CSR who was no help and said there was nothing they could offer me but their thanks, so I asked to speak to a manager. I spoke with Lloyd and also asked why I’m being penalized as a loyal customer by having my credit limit reduced which he could not explain. Lloyd also only offered me his thanks and said there was nothing he could do for a retention bonus and even after I said I didn’t see the benefit of being a Capital one customer anymore, he just offered his thanks again.
Pointless.

I have a car loan with Capital One--I…

I have a car loan with Capital One--I have automatic withdrawal of my payment to be sure I'm never late. Recently discovered they have been drafting TWO payments of slightly different amounts (amounting to over double the amount of my car payment) and they cannot tell me where the second payment is going at Capital One!! It is NOT going toward my car payment account. Is someone at Capital One using my bank account to skim from Capital One?? Remains to be seen after or if their "research" is completed. What kind of business cannot tell you where your bank withdrawal is going?!!

Capitol One Shopping Offers - DO NOT USE!!!!!

DO NOT USE CAPITOL ONE SHOPPING OFFERS FOR CHEWY!!!! THEY DO NOT PAY OUT. Spent Hours between Capitol One and Chewy and each blame the other. ALL of my purchases are qualifying purchases. I'm now supposed to call after 90 days to ask for my rewards for them to tell me its PAST the 90 days period!!! ZERO customer support. It's simply a ploy to get you to the CHEWY website, because very other vendor pays out! Given the fact that there is a class action lawsuit against Capitol for this very issue you would expect them to do better!! Looks like my Chase card is going to be my default card!!

Every single time i pay my credit card…

Every single time i pay my credit card bill it takes days for you to take it off my debit card and by then it gets declined because another bill had to be paid. NONE of my other cards takes days to accept my payment it comes off my card immediately as well as all my other bills. I regret ever getting a credit card from capital one and i will tell everyone i know not to do any kind of business with you. As soon as you decide to take the money out of my bank account to pay my bill, I will probably be closing my credit card account. I have had nothing but problems the whole time I have been dealing with you guys.

Dishonest business and poor customer…

Dishonest business and poor customer service even from a supervisor. I was offered 30% back on a viator trip in an email. I booked per the instructions. Later I got back only 2/3 of the quoted amount and on the wrong credit card. It went on to a Kohl's credit card that i havent used in years. I spoke to a supervisor. She had no empathy, patience or customer service skills. She really shouldn't be in that role or should be retrained. She was rude, unhelpful and didn't care.

Abysmal Communication

I was making regular automatic payments toward my credit card balance. They charged it off to a law firm, and neither Capital One nor the law firm communicated this. Meanwhile I’m still getting emails from Capital One that said shit like “hey great credit score” and offering new loans. Then suddenly I receive a court summons for this credit card account. Literally 0 communication. I will NEVER do business with them again. It’s insane corporations like this can get away with this without any repercussions. Welcome to America I guess.

This is an absolute nightmare of a corporation! They make it incredibly easy for you to give them your money, but if you need them to do anything for you— you’re out of luck.
I paid my cc balance a day before the auto deduction and they took that same amount out of my checking account, which I didn’t know they’d do. So, I had $383.95 taken out twice- and at the same time. I called “customer service” which took 2 hours since I got disconnected twice. Would they credit me back the redundant $383.95? Nope! They said the only thing they could do is mail a check. That was 18 days ago. Still no check, no refund, no extra credit to my CC… just weeks of not having back MY OWN MONEY. That I need. To live. But hey, if you’re not rich and/or a corporation in the USA in 2026 then f you, right, Capitol One?

Holding my deposit. I did a mobile deposit of a state government check of $5000. After saying successfully submitted it changed to unable to read. Deposited again. Holding check and finally released $750 and show sometime in the future they will release another $750. Had to go to other sources as need money for move tomorrow. Also made the mistake a month ago of depositing a small check in savings. All checks into savings held 7 to 10 days. After the total $5000 gets deposited in my account my Capital One checking will be closed and my 2 credit cards will be paid off. I do not want these people to get another dime of my money!

I love my Capital One card But....

I love my Capital One card but the 1 star rating is for the frustrations this card is giving me. I have hit an awful snafu trying to book and overseas 12-night stay. I had to submit documents online for verification by uploading Proof of Address & Driver's License front & back. However, the process can take up to 10 business days!!! i am on an urgent timeframe to get the "early bird" savings of 30%. Additionally, my Venture X card has been useless in the airport lounge if your layover is less than 2 hours! The wait time to enter is in the HOURS! They will not even let you do a "Take & Go" So frustrating since I got the Venture X specifically for use in the Airport lounge. When I tried to enter a previous time, I was told that unless my flight was within 2 hours, I could not go in!!! It seems one is at the mercy of whoever is check at the door. Wish there was better customer service. So the card is so popular now, the lounge is OVERSUBSCRIBED!

Refunds Declined??????????


Since Capital One switched to Discover I have had three instances where my refund was declined. Just happened with with Amazon. Received email that my Discover card was declined for a refund, as a result they credited the amount to a digital gift card. I do not understand how refunds can be declined. Hope they fix this, because three times is a problem.

Capital One deceptive practices.

Capital One teases potential customers by promising 2% cash back when in fact you do not get 2% cash back. The amount you get depends on what you want. If you want cash back it is closer to 1%. If it is travel, you get 2%. This is deceptive. And forget Capital One Shopping. It is a sham.

"What's in my wallet? Nothing. Because Capitol One is holding my money hostage"

I am a Top-Tier Reviewer with over 16,200 views, and I have never experienced such total incompetence. I am a Certified State Of California IHSS provider, meaning the government has already vetted and verified my identity. Yet, Capitol One is treating me like a criminal over a $9.00 transaction.
The ''Verified'' Lie: I called from my verified phone number. Their own robot told me I was "verified". But when I got to an agent, they refused to let me simply authorize the $9.00 charge. They didn't ask me a single security question. Instead, they slapped a "Hard Block" on my account, locking me out of my own money.
Broken Logic: They are demanding a PG&E bill and three months of bank statements. Hey look if a hacker is smart enough to spoof a bank account, then they are smart enough to to hack PG&E in like two seconds. Why are they asking me for the easiest things in the world to fake or steal while ignoring my verified voice and my state
W-2? To make it even more ridiculous, they asked me for three months of bank statements when I've only had the card for five weeks. They have done more damage than good. I am closing my account and going somewhere else where someone actually has brains. Save yourself the headache and don't bank with them.I give them ZERO stars.

Wow! What a terrible app

Wow! Impressed with how bad their app is. Freezes, glitches, closes out, and has all sorts of issues when you are just trying to book travel. And the prices for flights are wildly different on the search page versus the checkout page. Shady and not user friendly app.

Zero Stars

I would give them zero stars if I could! I made a payment on time but they still charged a late fee because it was not the minimum payment. There is no real customer service. The agents are foreign, as in not in the United States & they have no authority to change anything or credit your account. Avoid them at all costs. They will do everything to keep you in debt!
