We spent 10 days at White House Beach Kessingland and feel that the facilities need an update. The price of each pitch is very expensive and feel that the site should reflect this. The Wardens were very helpful and sociable.

We used several campsites in France and Spain last year ,each site was amazing and really cheap it made touring in the motorhome a pleasure all campsites were pre booked in England before departure .but we stayed in Folkston one night prior to sailing the following am and found the English price so high.you got nearly three campsite in France for the price of one in England

Great sites, which are always good quality with great facilities (Certainly true for the ones we’ve visited)

Fabulous campsites, staff always extremely friendly & helpful. Shower areas are great & always very clean & spacious. The whole maintenance of the campsites are well looked after. Always enjoy our visits.

The sites are usually very good
The sites are usually very good. The occasional discounts are also useful. I am though exasperated by being charged for wifi. This should be free at every site. This does leave a bad taste. Charge £1 extra per day if you must and include it. In this day and age everyone expects and needs wifi everywhere.

The CAMC experience
The CAMC sites are, in my experience of the ones we have stayed at, brilliant. You know you are going to have a decent pitch. You know you are going to have clean, accessible, inclusive toilet and shower facilities. Most importantly, the staff and management teams we have met have been first rate. Helpful and very friendly.
The one thing that sticks out as a negative on this years travels is the New England Bay site.
We have visited this site over a couple of years. Fantastic. But this year we found that almost half the site had been withdrawn, including one of its shower and wash facilities, which left only one for the rest of the site that is in use.
This facility needs to be CLOSED for cleaning, with restricted alternative facilities. Not a good thing, a CAMC site with insufficient facilities.

The caravan and motorhome club sites review
The sites are always to a standard which is a positive but we find some sites facilitates are not as clean as they used to be, sites like Knaresborough are excellent with very friendly site staff.
Some site we find the site staff to be quite abrupt and not so friendly.
We have used both the caravan and motorhome club sites and camping and caravan club sites for over 35 years and we now find the camping and caravan club to be more friendly overall.

We are member of the club because of the CLs.
We are member of the club because of the CL’s. We are big fans of this system. The most beautiful locations, quiet, nice hosts.
We try to avoid the big campsites although there are wonderful facilities. But we prefer a more natural layout instead of hardstanding pitches in a rigid arranging system.

We have been members of the Caravan and Motorhome club for just over two years. We feel we have received excellent service from every aspect of the club we have accessed. The club sites we have visited have been fantastic, beautifully tended and staffed with the nicest and most helpful wardens you could wish to meet. They have been in the most beautiful locations which vary enough to offer a different experience even though the facilities on the sites are often similar. We have also made good use of the clubs directory of CL’s. These offer more variety than you could ever dream of. We have visited some that provide showers, pot wash, and toilet facilities that rival club sites to those that have electric hook up and clean and waste water and tranquility. There truly is something for everyone. We also insure our caravan through the club and have their breakdown cover. We benefit from the huge range of members discounts on offer, once again there is something for everyone. Many club sites are open all year which we find very useful as we don’t put our van to bed in the winter.

Staff were so helpful with information on how to get into Glasgow. Small shop. Lots of information to hand. Site clean and tidy. Choose own pitch and spacious site. Bike ride/walk to Strathclyde Country Park from site. Surrounded by major roads so always hear car noise.

Allowing earlier access to sites as pre Covid 12pm instead of 1pm as now.
Putting rubbish bins back on site at facilities rather than having to take waste in the car to industrial size bins at the entrance. They are very heavy to lift the lids.

A good experience every time…
We have recently completed our first year owning a motorhome. Our experience of the Caravan and Motorhome Club sites we have stayed on over these first 12 months have overall been very good. Every site we visited were clean and tidy and very welcoming. The facilities blocks were always spotlessly clean and well maintained and pitches well presented and at worst having very slight slopes which required little levelling of our vehicle. On arrival we were always giving a comprehensive brief on the site and available pitches shown on a map for us to choose from and return to the reception once pitched to inform them of the pitch number. To summarise a very good experience every time in our first year.
