CarCanny checks a used car's history from its registration number, so you know what you're buying before you hand over any money. Type in the reg and the free check shows the car's DVLA and MOT record straight away: whether it's taxed, when its MOT runs out, whether it's been marked for export or scrapped, and the basics of the car itself, so you can confirm it's the one in the advert. The full report answers the questions that cost buyers the most: - Is there outstanding finance on it? - Has it been stolen? - Has it been written off by an insurer? - Is the mileage genuine? We list the mileage at every MOT and check it for clocking. - Has it been scrapped, imported or had its plate changed, and how many keepers has it had? - What do similar cars sell for, so you know how far to haggle?
