I am writing to express my disappointment with the handling of my couch damage claim. I submitted multiple claims regarding various damages on my couch, yet there was very poor communication throughout the process.
When I initially lodged the claims, no one clarified or enquired about when each damage occurred. Later, I was asked to provide additional information, which I promptly did — however, after that, I received no further response. I even sent a follow-up email, but still no one got back to me.
Eventually, I submitted another claim regarding the same issue, only to be told that it was outside the time frame. This is unfair and unacceptable, as my first claim was never properly concluded or addressed.
These guys are thieves. I spent ages sending forms and documents to their exacting standards and had my claim rejected on the basis that I didn’t put the claim in within 5 days of the damage occurring. This is despite having called them within that time and spoke to the boss who failed to mention this arbitrary time limit. Avoid at all costs.
SCAM! Like many other 1star reviews have said... I purchased their protection plan, and unfortunately they do not honour the agreement, and will find any small print technicality to avoid letting you claim what you rightfully should be able to claim.
I appealed their decision, and they ignored my emails. They also then referred me to a company to get it fixed, but with a quick check, this company is also belonging to them. Do yourself a favour and avoid wasting your money.
I wish i checked these reviews before purchasing.
Very unaustralian!
Kids left homemade glue slime on the back edge of the couch and it left behind a pink stain. Contacted Care Cover and they organised a company to come and clean that area of the couch. The “professional cleaners” did such an awful job. She just scrubbed at the fabric with a hard brush and destroyed the fabric and there is still a pink mark although lighter. They said the work was completed to a “reasonable standard”. Don’t waste your money!
Absolutely terrible. Basically a scam. When trying to lodge a claim their website fails and displays errors. Denies claims using technicalities and not legitimate reasons.
Save your $200 plus.
Buyer beware
Don't waste your time with any care cover product. Not only will they drag Their heels when it comes to claims but will also find any technicality to get out of actually processing a claim.
Care Cover has no intention of honouring your claim. Save your money and do not purchase this furniture insurance. I submitted a claim for pet damage, for which the policy is supposed to include 1 repair during the 5 year "cover" period. It was knocked back immediately.
DO NOT BUY THIS COVER, IT IS WORTHLESS.
I was sold this policy on the understanding that it covered fabric cleaning and/or repair in the event of an accident. The sales person at Freedom Furniture described it as "like an insurance policy for your couch". After 18 months, my new kitten had an accident on the couch soiling three cushions. I immediately made a claim complete with photos and full documentation. My claim was approved for the cleaning of one cushion only. When I enquired I was told that as part of the terms and conditions, only one cushion is covered in the event of a claim. This is not the cover I thought I was buying. I would never have agreed to paying $200 for such a worthless policy. The cat had a single accident that resulted in damage to three cushions and I am told that only one cushion will be cleaned. Imagine if you were sold a car insurance policy where the terms and conditions stated that in the event of an accident only one panel will be repaired. THIS COVER IS A SCAM. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
