Misleading system designed to trick you…

Misleading system designed to trick you into buying a report
​The preliminary check indicated that there was a problem with the VIN and flagged it as a "potential risk" with recorded events. This tricked me into paying for the full report, expecting to see details about damages or serious issues. However, once purchased and downloaded, it turned out there were zero problems or anything concerning. This is a classic bait-and-switch tactic to squeeze money out of customers. Complete waste of time and money. Avoid!

Totally wrong report, but refunded expense

I ran a report for a used Maserati Grecale. It came back stating that it has a diesel engine. Grecale was never produced with a diesel engine. How can I trust anything else written on that report. A waste of 50€. Choose other providers.
UPDATE: Carfax admitted the problem and refunded what I paid. I will definitely give them another chance after this. Thanks

Worth it. I’m satisfied

Worth it! I was about to buy a car in Bosnia, imported from France. The odometer was rolled back 35.000km

In general don’t buy cars in Balkans.

You can get the same information for free

Super disappointing. Bought 5 reports in 2018 knowing I’d need them over the next few years - it is not clear when you buy that you have 12 months to use them. Used 4 of them with the latest being in 2021 - went to use my last one to be told they only have one year validity yet I was able to use for 4 years.
In general the information is mostly available now through other sources for free just needs a bit of searching. In 2018 it Carfax was useful as the information was harder to find for free, luckily it’s now available without paying elsewhere

Expensive

Hi, I have just paid that service in italy , for my opinion it is to expensive for the small amount of information that they gave you. Almost all of those information you can find online for free.... In italy you can find all of those info on website ACI , Automobilista, or PRA.
