An absolutely phenomenal and one of a kind experience, organised by a fantastic business to bring together fellow enthusiasts.

It’s an incredible opportunity to delve into their mining culture whilst learning from experienced local miners, all of which are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Furthermore, the variety of specimens you walk away with are exceptional, and more importantly mined by you!

There is also the inclusion of regional experiences, such as quad biking in the Sahara desert, as opportunities to socialise and enjoy the Moroccan culture.

The cherry on top of this experience is the people around you. From making long lasting friendships with likeminded nerds, to the amazing hospitality of the local people, every second is fulfilling. I’ve personally spent time with friends I met on previous trips, and had the pleasure of making new ones all in the course of a week.

Ricky and Maz have created a truly unique and wonderful experience, and will continue to do so regardless of location, time or people involved. I couldn’t recommend a Carpé trip more!

Been on 3 big trips with Carpe Crystals, all have been very well organised and every experience we got to do have been incredible. The most recent Morocco trip was something else, an incredible week in a hot and desolate desert but it was so much fun and enjoyable. Both Maz and Ricky are very welcoming to all and make sure that everyone enjoys the experience.

I recently went o n an excursion to Morocco with the Ricky, alongside a group of 13 others. What an experience such an amazing group of people. Despite the entire trip being plagued by late cars, car trouble, last minute changes in plans and other little things. Ricky took everything on the chin, adapted and overcame making this an truely amazing once in a lifetime opportunity. The group of rock fanatics simply laughed through every hardship we faced. Such a fantastic collection of people from every walk of life. I have made friends for life, no question. Just to top it off I got to spend my 36th birthday finding fossils in the Sahara desert to then be surprised with a personalised fresh cream cake on the evening. Like seriously who can pull that out the bag. Team carpe and friends can. Can’t wait till the next fun filled adventure

I think it’s safe to say that trips with Carpé are some of the best things that have ever happened to me!! I’ve found lifelong friends and made some absolutely incredible memories on the three trips I’ve done so far! I’ll forever be grateful to Maz and Ricky for the immense work that goes into organising them and for bringing together such an incredible group of people ❤️

Everything about this trip was great! Seriously. The country was beautiful, a lovely family welcomed us to their home and shared their food❤️. Most of all the people who joined us on this trip are legends and the person who organised all this with a smile on his face did an amazing job!❤️love it. Deffo recommend!

Morocco 2026 was the trip of lifetime and it couldn’t haven happened without Maz and Ricky from Carpé Crystals. They planned the entire trip and Ricky was our guide the week we were there. Might I add he did an incredible job on his own, despite a few bumps out of our control! The trip from start to finish was an experience I’ll never forget. Driving miles and miles through the mountains and desert of Morocco, mining for Vanadinite, Baryte and Cerussite. Visiting crystal warehouses and drinking tea at the owner’s home, visiting Selenite factories, climbing mountains to dig for Scapolite, sleeping in the middle of the Sahara Desert amongst sand dunes under the stars in luxury tents and going fossil hunting in the Kem Kem Beds. Even going to our guide’s home afterwards for tea and homemade bread, meeting their family. I’ve probably missed out many of the things we experienced but, the trip was something a rock hound can only dream of doing. The thing that made it so special was being able to do it with my best friends and meeting new people who I now consider life long friends. Trips like these don’t come along often, I’d highly recommend.

Professional, honest, helpful and knowledgeable about all things to do with rocks and crystals. Fair prices and a massive range with something for everyone. Ricky organised a group trip to Morocco to mine for certain minerals and fossils and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Really well organised, we got to visit amazing places and see incredible things. Well worth it, I would go on another trip with these guys 1000%!

Didn't know anyone and was made to feel so welcome Ricky is a legend Didn't disappoint.

From start to finish it was awesome belly laughed, quad bikes, ,hikes, mining dessert camp wow just wow.

Couldn’t say more amazing things about these too not only do they sell amazing gems and fossils with ethical sourcing but they plan amazing trips both in uk and abroad, they are wholesome, funny and uplifting people to be around. Only negative thing I have to say is I wish I could spend more time with them 😂. Recent trip to Morocco did have some negatives which were out of there control but despite that they didn’t let that bring the vibe down, Ricky made sure to make everyone feel included even if your knowledge about minerals and fossils wasn’t the best and they adapt to help you learn at your own pace. I’ve learnt more in a week with them than in a life time. They attract an amazing group of people which leads to some uncontrollable laughter and memories you’ll never forget. Thank you Maz and Ricky for everything. Could not recommend them more!!!!

Great shop ran by great people. What they dont know about crystals and fossils isnt worth knowing! The trips they organise and run are easily the best weeks of my life. Cant recommend these lovely people high enough!

I’ve been a customer of carpe for over 5 years , and in this time learnt so much about minerals , crystals and the ethics of the industry.
I always find both Maz and Ricky very approachable and accommodating especially with delivery requests or budgets.
Most recently I have been on a few of their rockhounding trips both in the UK and abroad including Morocco.
I had an amazing time and felt safe and looked after at all times.
I personally feel like these trips have been life changing for me as a neurodiverse person , and the support to achieve new personal challenges and goals on these trips have been amazing. I originally started on these trips without knowing anyone personally and that felt a little scary , but everyone is so lovely and the sense of community was amazing - I’ve since made some of the best friendships from these trips that I’ve ever had which is incredible. They aren’t your usual holidays by any means and give you a real sense of adventure ( and the occasional bit of unplanned chaos which is always a good laugh!) but I throughly recommend them if you are interested in understanding where your minerals come from and having the amazing satisfaction of finding your own specimens.
I’m personally looking forward to the next trips in the future and hope they are just as good as the previous ones.

I’ve used Carpe Crystals for 6 years now. It is the ONLY place I buy them from. Maz was utterly fantastic at the start and the duo with Ricky is just the best. They are professional, funny, lovely, but most of all so knowledgable with the best customer service. Even when I’ve had a few challenges which have been no fault of Carpe themselves, they have always gone above and beyond to fix the issues for me. I love that I’ve found top quality crystals, mined ethically, and by such a lovely team.

I can’t recommend Maz & Ricky highly enough. From the very first interaction, their service has been absolutely outstanding. They’re incredibly knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely passionate about what they do, which really shines through in their shop and live sales.

The crystals themselves are always beautiful and high quality, carefully selected according to their ethical values and clearly labeled from the source, with real care and respect. You can tell there’s a lot of integrity behind their work, and that they truly want their customers to have meaningful, positive experiences rather than just making a sale by the way they have built a community around their shop.

One of the most amazing parts of being part of their community has been the arranged trips they organise. I’ve been lucky enough to join a couple of them, and honestly, I had the time of my life. They were incredibly well organised, full of great people, and such a unique way to connect with crystals, nature, and like-minded souls. Those trips created memories I’ll never forget and changed my life.

I bought some crystals on the 22.2.26 and the items were sent to another address by the seller. With the seller never admitting fault and not being honest about the situation. And when asked for a refund they said l had to wait 2 days for it. In the end l got my refund from PayPal on the 16th March nearly a month after the original payment for the crystals. Really disappointed by the lack of transparency by the seller and lack of communication when asking what had happened. I thought people should know how these people
treat their customers. I have edited this due to the sellers response on Trustpilot. I want to be crystal clear here. When l contacted the seller they didn’t respond after my initial the parcel didn’t turn up 3 days after it was suppose to. I was then asked to cancel the PayPal dispute so they could give me a refund. Clearly the seller is blaming Royal Mail but they had already confirmed the seller sent the parcel to the wrong address at this point. So this was an opportunity for the seller to be transparent but they choose not to be. When l asked again once they received the parcel l was sent a picture of someone looking at a label on a parcel and the seller clearing stating they couldn’t confirm where the parcel was to sent to because their label had been covered. So l want people to be aware of the actual circumstances of this situation and not the sellers response on TrustPilot. I don’t appreciate having to wait because someone else doesn’t want to take responsibility for their mistake. And also the implication of waiting nearly a month to get my initial
money back and then reading this response by the seller. People who purchase look for transparency not perfection but when someone isn’t it raises clearly an obvious issue. I hope this clears up the issue in its entirety.
