I advise everyone to avoid using СarsScanner service - since they are cheating, the funds written off are not returned. I ordered a rental car in Regensburg (Germany) for a day to get to the airport and paid full price after receiving confirmation. Rental company - Sixt. Arriving at Sixte, there were no cars available, I had to cancel the reservation, having received an apology from Sixt. Since it was a day off, it was impossible to contact anyone from CarsScanner. When canceling a reservation, I received a notification that the money will be returned within 10 days. There is still no money, the company unsubscribes that this is not their problem and they will not return anything.

We were a victim of a credit/debit card fiasco ourselves during a trip to Italy last year. We booked with a debit card which seemed fine at the time, only when we reached the pickup point we discovered that a credit card was needed else we would be slapped with an additional € 250 insurance. Having reached dead in the night, we had no choice to buy this insurance which was double the price of the rental itself. Subsequent complaint calls and emails sent to them fell on deaf ears.

This ticked me off, especially since this was not the first time I was screwed by a corporation using borderline clauses in fine print.

It’s a fraud! Never use it. When you enter their website the first thing you see is free cancelation option 24 hours before the pick-up. When you start search and see the results you see the information about free cancelation (without mentioning the time) again. When I made my booking and my card was charged I’ve got an e-mail that I needed a credit card (not debit) to take a car. I wrote the contact center and they said that if I didn’t have a credit card the only option was to cancel my booking. It was still about 36 hours before the pick-up so ok... But no! When I tried to do so turned out I needed to pay 50€ cancellation fee!!! I wrote to contact center again and they said (in not very cam and polite manner) that 24 hours cancellation policy didn’t apply to that company (Keddy). And that their logo wasn’t shown below this information. And on a search result page there was no mentioning of any terms so I should have read the full terms and conditions. What?! That’s 100% false advertisement and scum! Why do you even charge the debit card if you demand a credit one?! I know why... Ok, I lost only about 25€ (didn’t cancel just didn’t show up) but my evening was ruined...

I hired a car with this company only to get to Gatwick and find the place closed at midnight, not a problem I hade a hotel and would go back in the morning, went back in the morning to be told your late your voucher is invalid, I phoned the company and was told it would investigate, I sad what am I supposed to do in the mean time they put the phone down on me, I have now been trying to get my money back from this robbing company four seven weeks, be aware if some thing goes wrong they don't want to know.

Complete rip off company they will give you a cheap price but then completely rip you off and charge you 5x more once you go to pick it up

Do not take out extra insurance they offer you as it won't be valid !!

They don’t deserve one star negative stars. Stay stay stay AWAYYYY. They are thieves and pro as well. We rented a car from them and paid almost $800. Got to CDG Terminal 2A no car. As we are speaking, we filed a police report. They are tarnishing the good name of Enterprise. No car no refund. They will take your money way before your flight takes off. So be careful please.

Do not order cars there. Supplier ratings are fictional. You can not even put a review of the company from which you took the car. They redirect to trustpilot.com, where they differ significantly. Well, like a cherry on a cake, you lose money and you cannot prove anything.

These reviews are very negative to say the lease. First the company excepted their payment then rejigged. The reviews tell the whole story very clearly.

Had a real problem with these "cowboys" I booked a car and paid on their web page using my visa debit card, money was taken and booking was confirmed, they said my credit card needed £1400 on it to cover the cars waver access when I picked up the car, no problem! Arrived for the car with passport, driving licence and visa debit card with sufficient funds and I was turned away as they wanted a credit card not a debit card???? They already took money from this card but now refused, I didn't get a car and I was refused a refund. Disgusting service!! The money was there and they had already used the card once but couldn't explain why they couldn't charge my debit card for the crash waver access, the goon at the counter actually said it was against the law!!! Useless, stay away, never use, cowboys!

Needed a car in Prague. I was not able to add my flight number without additional charge, I went with it. When I arrived around midnight, Budget did not answer phone, no one was waiting at the desk and I ended up paying 60£ for taxi and arranging another transport in morning. Later on I was charged twice! for service provided by Car Scanner. When I explained that rent did not happen their customer service sent me quote of their "no refund" policy.
I will not use them ever again!

Convenient service, clear fulfillment of obligations.I used the services in Austria (Vienna) in 2017. I remained satisfied.

I hired a car via Car Scanner for my trip to Ben Nevis and what should have been a simple and easy transaction was an absolute nightmare! My nightmare started when I arrived at the leasing company called EasiRent.com (which is a portacabin in a car park!). First off the lady at the cabin tried to charge me £200 more as a deposit than what was quoted, then I was told I'd have to pay a fuel deposit (never had to do that before and I've been renting cars for 20years), then she implied that the insurance that I'd taken out at the time of the rental was insufficient and if anything happened to the car I'd have to pay out of my own pocket and then claim back via the insurance. This was the conversation all the agents were having with the customers which I found bizarre! When you rent out a vehicle and you select all the extras you do not then expect the rental agents to undermine this and think you've made the wrong decision ( the insurance they were offering was significantly higher). They used the "your insurance doesn't cover you for tyre puncture and recovery so if anything happens that's all on you" There was a Lady there who had faced that same issue and was fuming! So after sorting all of that out and no I did not take the insurance they offered I was shown to my car, at which point I blew up! I had booked a five seater so a Ford Focus or something similar and was being given an Toyota Aygo and being told that was a five seater in the same band. At this point I said hell no and called Car scanner who wanted to talk to the agent,this was 90 minutes from the point I came to collect my hire. After telling me they had nothing else they came off the call and gave me a Kia Picanto. The Kia was practically falling apart, the front bumper was hanging off, the alloys scratched, the front panels dented. I had no option but to take the car and left.

In summary do not use car scanner or Easirent they are cowboys and will ruin the start of your holiday. Moral of the story is that anything that starts with Easy isn't easy and should be avoided at all costs!

The quote shows all charges are inclusive, but real voucher does include airport fees.
It's ridiculous cheating.
Avoid!

This company is terrible. I don't think they understand english or can read an email. I requested a simple letter for my health insurance company saying I had not had a refund. Use This company at your peril...... only gave them 1 star due to having to.
