Setting up this transaction was simply and easy and the offer was higher than several other companies I reached out to. There was an issue at pickup with the offered price. Cash For Cars followed up... See more

It was an easy online process
It was an easy online process. I received a call right away. They told me the guarantee offer based on my responses online. They offered to have the car towed. They asked me to sign my title and send a picture of it. That’s where I got nervous. I was afraid they would get there to tow my car and the offer would change. They gave me the option to drop the car off and added an additional $50 to the offer. I dropped the car off, they did the inspection, took my title and DL info and gave me a check. They said wait 2 hours to cash the check. I waited one hour but took it directly to Bank of America where the check is issued from. My offer didn’t change after the vehicle inspection
Bait and switch, Seaford DE
Bait and switch. Guy was 2 hours late showing up then told me he could only give me 50% of my online "guaranteed" quote because the cats had been replaced (with OEM replacements). I explicitly asked when setting up the appointment if there was anything they need to know about the car. "no just have the title and keys ready". If its that important, add it to the other handful of questions up front about the condition of the car!! I suspect these guys were trying to skim off the top.
In hindsight I should have let the guy sit outside for an hour while they debate their little bait and switch game vs. how much their time is worth... Between being late and their lowballing It ended up wasting more of my time than the car is worth. Extremely unprofessional and sleazy.
I was told that it doesn't matter that…
I was told that it doesn't matter that car we were selling to you had a title in a maiden name . I was sent a canned email that the drop off location only needed a signed title and keys and personal items removed. I made it clear that the title was in a maiden name and I could transfer the title to the person dropping off the car . When we dropped off the car at the local office 3 separate ppl in the office said title in a maiden name no problem. 2 days later I get an email saying can please send in a marriage certificate( we don't have one) .
Talked to someone on the phone he said he would get back to me( crickets) .
I emailed him back to tell him no marriage certificate. Told him I wanted you to compensate us $35 dollars to go and pay for the certificate $22 for cert. and $23 to pick it up and mail or drop at local office .
Texting or emailing is not secure. a marriage certificate can and is used for identity theft. 4 separate ppl told me no problem now it's a problem. A person at the local office told me this happens all the time.
When I tell 4 separate ppl I am willing and able to get it done the right they tell me no it's okay. You have major operational flaw.
I will never recommend you company to anyone looking to sell their autos.
There was an issue with the title due…
There was an issue with the title due to my wife putting her signature above mine on the title. The title had bought our names on it and it include "and" between our names. All of the proper forms to correct this issue were sent and we signed them and returned them in the mail yesterday.
First off
First off: the first person i talked to said he ran the title everything was good.
Then when i went to drive the car to the place outta my and companys controll my car sprung a leak that prevented me from driving further so i called to rearrange things and thats where i had issues
First person i called that day: yah sure no problem send the title over with pictures okay cool wait the 10 mins no call back
2nd: person oh yah that looks like you need a lease to lean letter still. Alright why wasnt i told this earlier? Response idk. Clarified that a email would be okay if i got the letter. Yes that should be fine.
Get letter submitted call back
3rd person: says oh yah in stae of Maryland you need a wet signature…okay can a email version of this work? No ithas to be a physical paper.bolay why wasnt this explained on my first call today or 2nd? Idk sir. Ight.
So now i am sitting here with a car i cant sell to you all for at minimum 10 days till i get this later. After spending a whole afternoon trying to figure this all out.
Was very frustrating and hope the agents i talk to have these calls monintered and reveiwed
Be prepared to your title notarized with the buyers name.
Went very smoothly and quick. Price was reasonable.

We had just a few stumbling blocks
We had just a few stumbling blocks, but once we figure it out everything at once smoothly. What it happened was the agent gave us the wrong address to put on our title when we signed it over so we had to get a power of attorney. But other than that, everything went smoothly good communication, both via phone calls and text and emails.

Great service
The young lady who helped me when I called she was very nice polite and understanding that I wasn't for sure what to do. He helped me send the title. I appreciate her for taking her time with me. The young man who came to get the car he was a very nice and polite. I had a great experience.

We appreciated the friendly customer service…
We appreciated the friendly customer service, quick turnaround for pick up time, knowledge of how to handle the whole process (title info and schedule pick up date), and the follow-ups with making sure we were on track with being ready to pick up and secured measures for payment. The contracted tow truck person was even friendly and courteous during the vehicle pick up process. We referred your company to another person because of our good experience. We hope things go smoothly for them as well. Thank you!
Good experience
The whole process was very straight forward. The pickup time was settled and they were here on time. The only issue we had was my husband did not sign the title, my mistake, but the driver did not check over the title to make sure all was done correctly. It was back and forth for several weeks before we finally got the title last night and sent it back. Done! Thanks for buying our car. We will definitely recommend you to others but tell them to check the paperwork! Lol.

Absolutely horrible !
Absolutely horrible !
Your team has only a very small usage of the English language , they are poor communicators, which caused me to have to go to the notary three times to correct the first two mistakes they instructed me to make on the business title.
I had a second vehicle to sell as well - and I sold it elsewhere due to the GIANT waste of time this process caused.

Here is my very honest review
Here is my very honest review of CashForCars: For starters, the process on the phone was straightforward and fairly easy. They walk you through every step of the way. Even after I HAD to leave town at the last minute, they patiently waited for my return so we could finalize the signing and sending of an image over of the title. From there, I met a tow truck driver to where my vehicle was parked at which was my mechanic shop. The tow truck driver was a nice man, but he didn't speak english so I had to use my broken spanish and an app to communicate. He handed me a hand written check that I haven't cashed yet because he spelled my name incorrectly. I worry that my bank will refuse it but we shall see. They did give me the name of the place where the check came from at least, so hopefully if things don't go well on the deposit, I can get a new check with type on it instead of hand written and incorrect. That's the main reason why I gave them 4 stars VS a full 5. The inconvenience of the hand written check could potentially cause some issues for me. But we shall see!

Poor communication
Most of the process so far has been smooth in terms of communication, but there's been a MAJOR hangup. Left the title in the glove box along with the keys as I wouldn't be available during the time they were to pick it up. I received a text almost an entire week later saying they don't have my title. I explained again where it is and have yet to hear back after another 2 days and now I'm being left in limbo.
I highly recommend CashForCars
I highly recommend CashForCars. My car was damaged in an accident and I had no collision coverage. They made the process fast and easy and I am quite happy with the value I received from my car. They picked it up from my home, I signed away the title and got a check. Great company!
Good service and response service you were very efficient and helpful…
you were very efficient and helpful even when i had some issues with the title. you also adjusted your pickup schedule to a 4-hour window. this was very helpful as i had to go out of town and this prevented me from having to make a trip back to Folsom for the pick-up and sign off.
OVERALL SMOOTH TRANSACTIONThere was some confusion about how…
There was some confusion about how driveability of my vehicle was determined. Which affected the final sales price. But the transaction was smooth with specific guidance on title transfer. Arranging for the towing of the vehicle was good. The tow truck driver was on time and did a professional job.
Pay the most for non-running cars. Trustworthy.
Pay the most for non-running cars. Professional staff. They pay with uncertified check and require you to sign title before getting money, which made me nervous. But in the end they payed what they said they would and can be trusted.

Very responsive company representative…
Very responsive company representative who took the time to explain slowly and carefully the procedure of the title transfer.
Also, the pickup and take away of our vehicle was done very professionally…five stars to the towing company.
All in all it was an unexpectedly simple and easy transaction.
Thank you.

Happy customer…
They help walk you through signing the title. They were prompt in picking the vehicle up and they paid a fair price. Very easy to deal with.
They set everything up to run smoothly
They set everything up to run smoothly. I knew exactly what to do. They came out, gave me a check, took my title and the truck. It was pretty seamless.
