The Worst
This is the worst company I've ever had to deal with in my life. They send me from person to person, asking me all of the same questions I've already answered, they barely speak English and keep getting my info wrong (like calling my last name Joseph even though I've corrected them multiple times), they give me a low ball offer for my car that I've put nearly $20K into in the last 3 months, and they say they'll have movers contact me to get my title and give me a check, which they didn't do. They got me to send a picture of my title, tell them where my car was at, and then without notifying me, they had a tow truck from West Sound Towing take my car without meeting me, picking up my title, or paying me!! They just went and stole my car!!
I called them multiple times, and they just kept asking the same questions and sending me to numbers that wouldn't answer. I had to file a police report, and wasted tons of time. Over a week later, I finally got through to them.
They don't give a time that they'll come out. They just say "the driver will call you within an hour of pickup, and you just have to always be ready for whenever they call." As if I have nothing else to do in my life but wait for them to follow through with their end of the deal.
If I could give them 0 stars, I would.

Driver said I didn't need to sign the title, which I did. Had to drive 20 miles to carport to sign the title. Wasted my time and gas.
Smooth transacation
Quick cash offer. They made signing the title over clear and concise. Good communication about pick up and everything went smoothly.
Asked for too much personal information…
Asked for too much personal information to be emailed/sent by text msg up front, the kind that can easily be used to facilitate identity theft. This could have easily been avoided by handling this at the local Copart which was less than five miles from my home instead of using some god-knows-where call center. Compare this process to - advertise on CL/put "for sale" sign on car, meet buyer, negotiate with buyer, get cash, sign over title, go home, get drunk. Not here. Fortunately this is a once in a lifetime necessity.
FYI - I saw Copart's reply to my earlier review. After having initially talked to the call center, just to make sure it was on the up and up, I DID go to the Belvedere Rd location with the confirmed offer. I was willing to give copies of the title and my DL/ID to someone in person versus emailing/texting same however I was told at the desk they couldn't do anything without an order number, something that would have been generated by the call center.

The initial offer was easy but small headaches followed.
The initial offer was easy and accurate. It was frustrating having to call agents to go through the same 10 questions every time and that should be improved. The title mess was frustrating and is not great for a business who literally buys cars for a living.
Great customer service
Great customer service, very helpful and reliable. followed up with to make sure everything was set up. Clear instructions were provided on how to prepare title for sale. Pick up of the vehicle was timely and quick.

This is legit,we were worried too about them asking for vehicle title info. You can trust the process. They will be in contact persistently just to make sure things are done in a timely manner.

Fair price offered, execution really bad
Fair price offered. Smooth and professional service until car pick up time. Pick up driver did not call in advance as promised. Car was at a dealership and the driver abused the staff and recklessly drove my car through the lot. He then didn't take the car. A new driver was sent and got car. I then got a call asking for the title. They had it. Comedy of pickup errors. Finally settled.

Very pleased with the process.
They were professional, polite, and offered a fair price for our car. Pick up was free and on time, driver was courteous. Title transfer was free. Got our check with the amout we agreed to.
Definitely recommend.

I want to give a great big shout out to…Renuka
I want to give a great big shout out to Renuka who was very helpful straight to the point on everything helping me sale my car. My journey trying to sell my car started in May and I had lost my title and my daughter sent off for it and because of the state I live in it took a lot of turns and Renuka was very patient and always called to check up on me she never gave up, she also gave me guidance on what to do in one situation and finally I had to get the title put in my name and it took until August coming back. As soon as it came back Renuka worked quickly getting my car sold. Thank you!! Because of Renuka I will recommend anyone to sale their car there.

Great, except scheduling pickup.
Everyone I spoke with was helpful, friendly, professional. The process was generally quick and easy. The only problem was scheduling the pick up of my car and exchange of money, title and keys. Initially I was told that the pick up would occur on a Friday, which was convenient for me because I was not working that day. I was told the driver would call or text me when he was on his way. I stayed home all that day and nobody called or showed up. I called the only number I had and got a recording saying they were closed until 8:00 am the following Monday. That was a work day for me, but my son was off so he was able to sit and wait. My wife called from her job just after 8:00 am Monday and was told that there was a two day window for pickup, so a driver would definitely come that day since he didn’t come Friday. A message was left on my cell phone around noon Monday saying that a driver reported being unable to pick up the car because it was blocked in. The car was parked at the end of my driveway, not blocked in. No driver call to say he was coming. My son and mother in law said nobody came to the house or rang the doorbell. My Ring camera showed that nobody had come. I called to report this, and was told that the pickup would be put back on the dispatch schedule and the driver would be there that day. I told the person on the phone that if it wasn’t picked up that day, nobody would be off work on Tuesday to exchange paperwork. I was told that if there was no pick up Monday they would schedule for Wednesday (an off day for me). No pickup occurred Monday. Tuesday, while at work, I got a text in the morning telling me a driver was on his way to my house. I had to call my partially disabled mother in law and give her instructions for giving the driver the keys and title to the car in exchange for a check. The transaction ended up being completed successfully, but the communication around the scheduling left much to be desired.
Experience was great
Experience was great! Once I was able to speak with a rep, process was easy, great instructions on what was needed with title and signatures. P/U driver reached out letting me know his arrival time, was professional, completed paperwork, and removed vehicle. Thank you!

Everything went well except for…
Everything went well except for paperwork. I was told title was only paper that needed to be notarized. Paid 25 for that. Then they tell me the other papers needed to be notarized. Had to drive an hour again to get it done. Paid another 25 for that. Was not happy.

Highest offer for car I was selling.
Highest offer for car I was selling. Online entry was straightforward, and was able to receive estimate real time. Outreaches from CashForCars came through multiple phone numbers, which led to confusion. Also, the only site that required a notarized title due to their business model.

Unhappy
Car location was originally about an hour from where we lived. Plan was to meet the driver and exchange title/ check. I received a call that the car was picked up, and was now 2 1/2 hours away. I left work early to make the 5 hour drive. When I arrived at the car yard, the car was not there. It was in a sub lot, 30 min away. It was too late to make the 4:30 close time. I was unable to get into the car. I could have turned in the title at a place 30 min from my home and not driven 5 hours to not even be able to get into the car. Communication was terrible. Not even an apology. Staff at the location seemed annoyed and unconcerned that I had driven so far for no reason. The option to go to a closer location had not even been presented.
Beware of false accusations
The process so was easy. I was very pleased with the experience. Update as of August 20th: I take back my 5 star review as I’m now being accused of not giving the title to the driver.

Professional, Patient, Good experience.
Professional, patient, understanding, and helpful. Our family had an aging Sienna Van that was the primary driver for many years with our 4 kids. Once we got to the teenage years it no longer served any purpose at our house. The CashforCars guys offered us a fair price, was patient with me while I gathered the keys, title, moved the van etc. They picked it up from my front yard. My involvement was very limited and the check cleared. It was a good experience.
Getting a quote was easy
Getting a quote was easy and they waited for me to get the title. Overall, a great experience.
