Setting up this transaction was simply and easy and the offer was higher than several other companies I reached out to. There was an issue at pickup with the offered price. Cash For Cars followed up... See more

I felt it was quick and honest deal
I felt it was quick and honest deal. They came and took the car the very next day and wrote me a check. Maybe I could have gotten more on a trade in, but you know how car dealers mess with the price on deals. The car was in rough shape and I did not have the title on me because I was in the middle of a move when I bought the new vehicle.

Everything went perfectly as promised and expected.
The ease of getting a quote. The help in preparing hte title. The tow truck arriving as promised. The timely payment.

You keep asking me for a lien release…
You keep asking me for a lien release on a title without a lien. The finance company also says there is no lien.
It has become a nuisance.
Very easy process
I filled out the info online. It gave me a quote. A day & time window was set up. I had to get everything out of the car, remove the plates, sign the title, and have all keys available. The tow company texts an hour before arriving. They pick up the vehicle, write you the check, and you give them the title & keys. Then, they email you the info to show your vehicle was sold to them. That info is then used for tax purposes or the DMV to show the vehicle was sold. I hope this info helps someone. Ty
Good service and process
Bryant was our first point of contact and was OUTSTANDING in every way, guiding us through the whole process and ensuring everything went as it should. He was very empathetic when I shared with him that the second stage of this did not go so smoothly. Once it was time to transfer ownership of the car with the key and title, I was transferred to another person whom I could barely understand because she talked very fast with an accent and could not keep facts straight without me having to repeat myself several times and then correct her. It was a very time-consuming and frustrating process working with her. She was polite, but did not seem very knowledgeable or have a keen attention to detail which is pretty important. She kept telling me that I needed to mail the title because it was "easier" which of course it was not easier. While on this long call I was texting with Bryant who helped me maintain my sanity. After a very lengthy phone exchange with the woman, we hung up and I was contacted by a third person, a young woman who was a delight. She was calling to schedule the pick up and to no surprise, all of the details she was given were incorrect. So she and I had to fix everything, which was super frustrating since I had already done it many times. She did everything right, apologizing for the confusion and wait time as she got it sorted. Two people in this exchange should be applauded and one could benefit from some training.

Not so well experience
At the beginning things went well until the finalization on signing over car title, I felt duped & rushed, the person I spoke with kept changing the quote & never got back with me before final quote. He stated if the car didnt start they would need to deduct $500 but l let him know that the car does start it just needs a jump prior to being picked up which it did do, when they towed it but because it hadn’t been started & had been sitting for a while, yet he said he’d find out from his supervisor & get back to me with updated quote but never did & instead, he did whatever he wanted & didn’t give me the initial price that was established smh but I blame myself for even selling it to the company when it came to the estimate but to sum things up I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. Very rude & inpatient sadly
The transition was smooth
The transition was smooth. They came within the time frame and the exchange was smooth, I gave them the title they gave me my check.

Too much nonsense I had to run back and forth to Pennsylvania twice and they gave me the wrong information to put on the title which caused me another whole half day of bullshit they did compensate me a little bit extra for the nonsense but still that was ridiculous

i got a great value for my trade-in but the setup was a nightmare. If you don't speak english, GO WORK SOMEWHERE ELSE. if you tell me i can schedule a pickup for a certain time on a certain day, COMMIT TO IT.
people were super nice but we had to call back a few times to get someone competent who could actually help us and not send us through hours of confusion and hurdles. once we finally got them to agree to a certain pickup time the tow truck driver called me and told me he didnt want to come that early even tho i was very nearby, so i had to have my wife leave work early in order to be home at a certain time to hand over the title and recieve our check.
TLDR, great tradein, tow truck driver was extremely kind and very pleasant, but the make it all happen was far more labor than it should have been and i hope they can cut out some of the confusion from their support team staff who did nothing but complicate things

This is the second time I have sold a car to Cash for Cars and both experiences have been pleasant. The only "complaint" I have per say is that sending the pictures of the signed title was confusing. I would send one pic and then told several times it had to be signed again and that was all but it was rinse and repeat on that dang thing. But I finally got it all figured out and the drop off went smoothly. Will definitely come back here if I ever need to sell another vehicle.

Good communication
Good communication, helped me understand how important it is to get the full title not just the signed over title to get a much more valuable offer, kept me in the loop, and we got our check as soon as the guy came to tow our car away and we gave him the title. Thank you!
Worst experience ever
Worst experience ever! They asked for a signed title to be sent online? Who does that? Then when I argued , the guy said that there is a lien on it since 2021. You, moron, it is the finance lien which was cleared in March 2024. I have a title in my hand!

This one one of the easiest things I have ever done. Called the number on the yard sign at the car wash, was given a quote, found the title, signed, transport truck picked up car in three days and handed me the check. The driver was very nice.

Very quick and easy way to sell a non working vehicle I appreciated their patience and willingness to keep an open offer until my title arrived. Checked in with me often which created a great report.

We needed it gone. CASH FOR CARS came through!
Our son had a car of ours we wanted to get rid of 6 hours away from our location . His name was not on the car therefore he could not sell it even tho we had signed the title. It was a salvage title when we bought it which probably didn't help. Cash for Cars made it possible to get a little for the car (it wasn't worth much) and not have to travel to do it. They walked me thru necessary procedures and cut me a check for the agreed upon amount when they picked it up at my son's address. EASY PEASY 😀

The process was a bit cumbersome and I didn’t like providing a title to the car by text but the people were courteous enough and helpful. The amount they offered was the exact amount I got. The pickup service was over an hour late but he was apologetic and very courteous.
hit and miss
response to inquiry was immediate. (good) verification of signed title was abysmal as it is not possible to send pictures via email. and no one i talked to was aware of that restriction. (how can that be?) it took days and numerous people to finally get to someonw who could receive the pictures. pick-up was just ok. due to last minute scheduling, the car was towed by the flatbed as the flatbed already had a car. this should not have happened. final handover was terrible. was told by an office worker that a bill of sale would not be provided even though such is required by california DMV. strangely, a bill of sale *was* emailed the next day. so i can only conclude that one side of this operation does not talk to the other side. (very bad)
Ok but not great service
Some parts of the experience were positive and some were negative. The first part, where we requested a quote online, was quick and easy. However, after that it was more difficult. We had to play phone tag for 2 days because for whatever reason whoever was in charge of approving the title pictures would not respond to the reps working with us. Then when we were finally trying to schedule a pickup, the lady scheduling was downright rude and less than helpful about scheduling a time that would work for us. The pickup didn't happen until the next week, and when it did the check we were given had our name misspelled and our bank would not deposit it. It was another long process with many more phone calls until we finally got a new check. Overall, most of the reps were friendly and the offer for our car was fair, but the process was anything but smooth.

I gave very specific instructions
I gave very specific instructions - by letter, no less - as to how the dealership had the car, the original title and the keys, and all that had to happen was for the driver to pick those up and leave the check. I provided the dealer with a stamped addressed envelope to send the check to me. What could go wrong? I had at least a dozen telephone calls telling me that, for various reasons, the pickup could not be scheduled. Extremely frustrating. Eventually resolved but only afteer tremendous waste of time.
Call someone else
Took my car from the shop without my permission, no communication about it. I sat around for four hours at a coffee shop waiting for a phone call that never came, which I was supposed to meet them at the shop, but it turned out they just took it away without paying me or signing the title, then I had to meet someone somewhere else and didn't even get back all my stuff that was left in it.
