I quickly found a reliable cat sitter with good references, and everything went smoothly. I like that the service provides assurance for both parties. The only downside is that my German account’s direct debit didn’t work in Belgium, which was inconvenient.

All easy and user friendly

I have used this service once and plan to use it again in the near future. I've found the website design easy to navigate & the communication with the sitters straightforward. The price is very reasonable, and I found my cat sitter to not only be very friendly but also deeply professional and caring. My go-to place for cat-sitting.

Lovely young lady called Hannah S. looked after our cat. She was lovely and kept me updated about our cat and sent me pictures. I would definitely use her again. She had time for our cat and seemed very caring

Payed 190e to get verified to only be scammed!

I received a request for a home visit and in order to accept it: there was a message in a yellow bubble, instead of the white one, which made it look like a service message from the platform, saying that I had to verify my payment card. I click through, takes me to this: “secure paying platform” and it’s asking me how much money I have on my account and then it says I have to have a minimum of 190..stating: no money will be withdrawn, it’s just a digital verification blabla..I know it all very sketchy but I it came from the app so I was ok let’s just do it..I pay it and then it says: something went in order to get a full refund you need to transfer 300e. And that’s when I was outraged. In order to get 11e for a service I have to send my money to get verified?!

I immediately texted catinaflat service, in two ways, via contact and via what went wrong. No reply to this day!

At first in revolut it was saying that the merchant didn’t claim the money and if they don’t the money will be back in 2 max 11 days, which made me think - ok there must be some delay in the service or something.. and it could still be legit.

The day after however the money where claimed, no response from catinaflat!!the message request had vanished from
The app as well, it’s like I dreamt about it but I still have the proof in my mail inbox.

I then opened a dispute with revolut but it was too late since the merchant had already claimed the money.

I find catinaflat a horrible service because:
1. If they would have had a more secure platform would have avoided scammers to send private requests and messages making them look like a service message, with internal links.

2. If they would have replied promptly to my message I would have still been able to recover my money.

But guess what? Who pays for their shitty platform and lack of customer service? Me! And exactly 190e!!!without even getting one job from the platform.

All of this could have been avoided if it would have been a better platform. I see catinaflat as the sole responsible for me losing these money. And as I said, no reply from them 6 days later.

Website easy to use to find a local sitter. Very reasonably priced.

I have used Cat in a Flat as both a catsitter and a cat owner (a subject of cat rule, really) and it has been great.

As an owner - the ability to see reviews and read a catsitter profile, get a distance estimate so I could query people closer to me initially, the ability to edit days to cover 2 a day most of the time but only 1 visit if it’s when we’re returning/going and being able to favourite cat sitters.

I have found people to trust using the site and now app; the reminders to cat sitters about minimum sit length are handy as I know the cats are getting some time with someone. And knowing it’s a community of cat lovers is great. Most people stay for a while, and I certainly have stayed over an hour at places because I adored the cat or knew it was shy and needed a bit of human presence.

As a catsitter, I was able to consistently get requests and do repeat visits for the past 8 years. Being able to block out dates I didn’t want to be searchable, set rates and choose if I wanted overnights. Also the requests for owners to leave a review at the end of sitting certainly helped me get over 40 reviews! I’ve also appreciated that I can hide my account since it’s been hard to sit due to a toddler, and I haven’t lost all the effort I put into my account.

Very useful site, easy to navigate. I found several trusted cat sitters. It's great to have a realiable place where I can find a catsitter in case of an emergency.

App refuses to take payment from my card. Cat in a flat very slow to respond and no resolution in sight so makes me consider looking at using other similar apps

I have used ‘cat in a flat’ twice, each time i have found them to be an excellent service. Very professional, reasonably priced. The communication is seamless. The members seem very knowledgable and have an obvious affection for cats.
I would highly recommend this company and will definitely be using them in the future.

Booking system is so easy to use. You have the opportunity to talk to your sitter and do a meet and greet before you go away. Sitters are really reliable, send regular updates and are very respectful of your property.

The catsitters I found through this app have always been people who are really interested in cats. I like the detailed info on each sitter to help you prioritise what you need.

I had to arrange cat cover at short notice in the summer holidays. Cat in a flat was easy to use and plenty of sitters said they were available. The sitter we went with was great.

Great site/platform. Simple easy to find pet sitters, connect with them, book and get confirmation, pay and do review. There are reminders emailed to, with appropriate links. Able to do own pet profile not just pet sitters. Provides insurance for pet sitters and give home owners security. Very happy customer 6 yrs now.

Very easy booking process. Cat feeders have all been great and trustworthy. Cat in a Flat has made our lives much easier in finding someone to genuinely care for our cats when we're on holiday.
