Shameful

Shameful. Recently moved using Pickfords, who damaged our brand new property and belongings. Centry claim they don’t cover fixtures and fittings. Pickfords left my drawers behind in my previous house and centry said they can’t compensate us for these, as they were left. Offered 50% for things that were damaged as they said “they’re only cosmetic damage” - I expected my items to be delivered back to me in the same condition they left me in!!

The whole experience is mentally exhausting. They take ages to reply and it’s like speaking to a robot. I moved in September and still dealing with these now.

I put in a claim nearly a year ago…

I put in a claim nearly a year ago following a move by Pickfords, which has yet to be agreed. I've raised complaints to their complaints department which were very unhelpful, basically they did not even acknowledge or recognize the complaint. Very unprofessional and blaming the customer for everything to deflect from their own incompetence and ineptitude.
Avoid using this company if at all possible!

Appalling Experience — Emotionally Draining and Professionally Inexcusable

This has been one of the most stressful, drawn-out and infuriating experiences I’ve ever had with a company. We trusted Pickfords with our international move and took out full insurance through Centry Services. A critical part of our £6k solid hardwood dining table (the central leg) was lost in transit. It renders the item completely unusable, yet after over 14 weeks, they still haven’t resolved the claim.

We provided every piece of evidence: inventory marked “MISSING”, delivery sheet showing it wasn’t checked off, multiple follow-up audits on our end. Instead of acknowledging responsibility, they’ve done everything possible to delay, deflect, and push blame onto others. They offered a pathetic 25% of the insured value — and continue to hide behind subcontractors and policy fine print.

Pickfords wash their hands of it, Centry Services respond in slow, robotic emails, and no one takes real ownership. No phone contact. No accountability. No urgency. It’s felt like banging our heads against a wall for months, all while dealing with a life move across the globe.

We paid a premium for a “professional” relocation service and have been left emotionally exhausted and financially short-changed. If you're reading this and thinking of using Pickfords or Centry Services — JUST DON'T . I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.

Not Insurance

Not Insurance - Its Claims Avoidance

Had the misfortune of having to use this company last year as they were introduced as the only option by Anglo Pacific International Shipping.

We were moving from the UK to South East Asia and everything was ok until our possessions arrived and there were a few broken items and a major issue with a massage chair.

The Claims (Avoidance) Department was painfully slow to respond and deal with anything and when they did eventually wake up they had an approach of zero customer service and did everything they could to avoid our claim.

We were asked leading questions (any signs of visual damage) to ensure they would end up with no liability and then came back with a carefully curated response citing terms and conditions about visual damage!!!

All I would say is that I would never use this company to insure anything because if you have the misfortune of having to make a claim they will come up with a reference to the small print that allows them to avoid any responsibility.

They even told me the policy terms and conditions have been tested in law many times which again is a huge red flag as it means lots of other customers have received the same "couldn't care less" approach.

Do not use this company as they are not an insurance company all they do is focus on avoiding legitimate claims by referencing small print from documents I was never given by Anglo Pacific International Shipping.

100% Useless - Avoid at all costs!!!
