Scammed me, with their child company my IQ charged around a dollar just to start a secret subscription that cost me $40 a week later without notifying me. 100% a scam website. Most other reviews are likely bots.
Wish I could get a refund

I just saw the test results for 1,480 won on January 23rd. And then, I have never allowed other payments or subscriptions. But on January 30th and March 1st, about 44,000 won was automatically charged. You guys definitely didn't show me anything like a subscription agreement. Why do you live like that? Is it that hard to make money?

charged $30 without clear consent and want a refund.

Recurring charges on my account - specifically GBP£9.99 removed five times in January.
From the briefest of searches, it seems access was obtained by clicking through on online tests. I'm quite observant and frequently halt this type of online payment but I guess this one got through but I'm interested to know how as I'm cagey about where I put my bank details.
I would appreciate this company please respond to discuss this matter in more detail - pretty sure you know where to find me

Update: Cerebrum has reached out to me and promised a full refund. All of the transactions added up over the past year that they took from my account without permission totals $764.49. I’m pleased that they responded so promptly, but it’s been more than one business day and there still isn’t a refund in my account. Let’s see if they keep their promise.
I completed their test in February 2025, payed a $.99 one time fee for the results, and I have just checked my online banking for my past year saying i’ve been charged $14.99 weekly for a subscription that I never signed up for and was not aware of. I put in my card info for the one time $.99 transaction and nothing else, there’s claims with evidence all over the internet of this company doing the same and using deceptive tactics in a order to charge people an obscene amount of money over long periods of time without the buyer being aware of the transactions. I’ve tried emailing their contact on their website only to get automated messages back. This is my final attempt of getting a refund for every weekly transaction for the past year aside from the initial $.99 transaction and making things right before I go through my bank to get a chargeback. I’ve already contacted them and they’re absolutely astounded by cerebrum iq’s deceptive tactics.

Update: I have now received a full refund.
For context, I discovered multiple recurring charges of £39.99 on my credit card following an IQ test purchase. When I first contacted support requesting a refund for the charges, I was told refunds were not possible under their policy. After I posted a public Trustpilot review, the company reached out and processed a full refund.
I appreciate that the refund was eventually issued once the matter was escalated.
For transparency, this is the full story of issues I encountered:
• The confirmation communications referenced different pricing structures. One email stated a $0.99 trial followed by $19.99 charges every 7 days, which I initially interpreted as a monthly charge rather than weekly. A separate automated message then referred to a 4-week subscription price of $39.99.
• My actual card charges were recurring £39.99 payments.
• The website did not provide clear visibility of payment history, which made it difficult to identify the full number of charges.
• Locating the cancellation option was not straightforward.
• My initial refund request (as I hadn’t used the product beyond the initial IQ test) was declined, and the refund was only approved after the issue became public.
Based on my experience, I would encourage anyone who has used this service to review the terms carefully, including all confirmation emails, and to check their bank statements.

There’s no way to cancel this subscription! This site conveniently doesn’t recognize your email when you try to log back in to cancel. I’ve submitted a request via email asking how to cancel. Of course I got no response.

so disappointed in myself, i’m a young carer who gets provided money to go school and buy food for me and my sick nan. i was messing with my friends and we decided to take an iq test for what we thought was just a small fee of 1 pound until a month later 30 pound which is my travel money for the week was taken out of my account from the company myiq which ive heard that this is the parent company i’m currently contacting the bank and praying for refund

I'm always trying out new IQ tests and being offered a low cost of 50pence with cerebrum, I did it and if there was any more cost I would not continue... so as a recovering stroke victim, I was not keeping track of my bank account properly...then feeling better I was shocked to see multiple £29.99 withdrawals by them...must be a SCAM , I've now hopefully cancelled through there system, fingers crossed, if not it's off to the lawyers. 🤬

THIS IS A SCAM....
I PAID £0.99 FOR A REPORT AND NOW THEY HAVE CHARGED ME £29.99 FOR A SUBSCRIPTION WHICH I DIDN'T SIGN UP TO. I AM REPORTING THIS TO MY BANK, THE POLICE AND WHOMEVER I POSSIBLY CAN AS IT IS FRAUD.
CEREBRUM IF YOU ARE READING THIS YOU NEED TO REFUND ME IMMEDIATELY AS I CANNOT FIND A WAY TO UNSUBSCRIBE....

This company use deceptive billing practices. I paid €0.99 for what I understood to be a one-time test. Shortly after, €14.99 started being deducted from my account every week!!! I did not authorise the weekly payment and did not notice it for months, after which they had charged me hundreds of euros.
I’m demanding a refund for all the money they took from my account.
UPDATE
After contacting the company, they issued a full refund in a very timely manner. I must admit their customer service was excellent.

Payed 1$ for the iq test didn’t realize it was including a subscription for 12.99 a month and i just noticed it and now magically my account doesn’t exist so I can’t cancel it. I’ll be contacting my bank to tell them to stop authorizing payment to this company.

I was repeatedly charged weekly after only agreeing to a $0.99 purchase. I unfortunately didn’t realize until I had been charged $404.73 over the course of 27 weeks. I never agreed to this recurring charge.

This company operates in a blatantly misleading and unethical way. I paid only £1 for an IQ test on MyIQ, only to later discover £24.99 had been quietly taken from my account. No transparent consent, just thievery.
This is a business model built on deception. The payment information is deliberately obscured and the charge only becomes obvious once it’s already gone through. That will absolutely be taken seriously.
I did not knowingly authorise a £24.99 payment. If this refund is not issued promptly, I will be escalating this further with the correct legal and financial bodies, and will be publicising this as much as possible to ensure that other people don't fall into this scam.
Consider this your opportunity to fix the situation. I am demanding a full refund immediately.
Until then, I strongly advise anyone reading this to stay away from this sham of a company.
