Costs not transparent
I booked a boiler service. The engineer came and said a part needed replacing and he would do the service then, which was fine. However, I then found that I had been charged £114 for that 15 minute visit to be told he couldn't do the job. When I complained, they did reduce the fee by 50% but only because I complained.
I had no issue with the engineer or his work but definitely not happy with the lack of transparency around the costs. There was no indication I would be charged if the job couldn't be done at the time - even if I then had the job done later. The reasonable quote for the boiler service would have been double the price without the 50% refund and therefore not so reasonable. It just felt like a bit of a con and I won't be using them again.
