Boycott Versailles. Unacceptable behaviour by the Château
Don't go to visit Versailles this summer!!!
If you do, you are at risq of having payed and not being to get in without explanation as happened to several hundred people with us today.
Not only they decided to close down the Château at 16h15 stopping all entrances at 15h15, leaving with no acess all advanced booking tickets holders for entrance after 15h15, but there was no information given ahead by email, no information at the door, and no one to talk to!!!
At 19h today, we still don't know whether we will be reimburse and obviously enormously frustrated at not having been to visit the Château with our non parisian friends who were coming for the 1st time in 20 years.
I read that it was because of high temperature during today. Why not. But the minimum would have been to inform visitors a day before, offer options to cancel the trip or postpone, and obviously put signs out, and a couple of employees in front of the door to look after the visitors questions.
Is it how one of the symbols of France should treat the tourists?
As a french person, I am ashamed and angry at the incompetence of the managementof the Château, as well as overwhelmed by feelings of major disrespect to the visitors from this same people.
