Approach with caution

If you want a basic window this company can manage this.
If you want an unusual window or if the hole for the window is not already in place AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. They are incompetent at listening to and fulfilling customers requests, leaving you with a window that does not do the job it was intended for!
They DO NOT replace or compensate their customers (the customer is not right the company are apparently )
THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND LEAVE YOU SADLY VERY DISAPPOINTED
We have had to go to another company to get the window Chatsworth fitted replaced!!!

EDIT:
On seeing my review Chatsworth asked if I would call their office in Northallerton as they have no information on this!! 🤣🤣 oh but they do and so does DGCOS Ombudsman Scheme.

EDIT 2
Interesting response from Chatsworth:
After reviewing the matter and gathering relevant information, the following points have been established.

The surveyor explained during the survey that the window height could not match your expectations, as this would make it impossible to achieve a total seal (THIS IS A TOTAL LIE!)

Measurements were taken in line with Mr B’s pencil marks on the wall (THIS IS ANOTHER LIE AS THE SURVEYOR HIMSELF PUT THE MARKS ON THE WALL) which if were correct were not followed by builders who build up the wall filling in the removed bi-fold doors AND were not transferred to the window construction team because it was the wrong size!

The architects drawing clearly demonstrated that, due to It’s size, this window could not be folded back fully against the wall. The architects drawing did indeed establish this issue which we agreed to accept the agreed compromise.

As a goodwill gesture, you were offered a monetary compensation. To some degree this is correct: Chatsworth eventually offered us a goodwill gesture of £200 quoting “this is a goodwill gesture AND NOT COMPENSATION” for their incompetence.

I have a paper trail that proves Chatsworth's comments above are a complete lie.

The surveyor explained during the survey that the window height could not match your expectation, as this would have made it impossible to achieve a proper seal.

Measurements were taken in line with Mr. Booth’s pencil mark on the wall.

The architect’s drawings clearly demonstrate that, due to its size, this window cannot be folded back fully against the wall.

As a gesture of goodwill, you were also offered a monetary compensation.

Final verdict? Happy with job.

Chatsworth recently (Sept '24) replaced 9 windows in my property with which, all in all, I am very pleased. The whole procedure from original quote through survey to final fitment went fairly smoothly and efficiently. I've read other reviews suggesting the fitting was all about speed over quality. In our case the speed (2 days) was a positive factor ie minimum disruption and fitment I would rate as good/satisfactory. If I had any criticisms it would be that the sales pitch promises and the fitters job expectations were not always on the same page but we agreed eventually. I was initially a bit surprised at the additional trickle vent which was not mentioned along the way but had to accept when explained that it is a mandatory feature in all new installations since June '22.
Final verdict? Happy with job.

Bay Window Upgrade

From start to finish these guys were brilliant. The sales guy who originally came to quote was at my house for less than an hour. He listened to everything I said about keeping the Victorian look to my home and he agreed. The surveyor was also at my house for a short amount of time and he was great with a huge amount of knowledge.

The window fitters were there for 2.5 days as originally told. They ripped out and fitted 2 bays and a single box sash in the front bedroom. Both very nice guys who were really good they answered various questions and worked really efficiently. At the end of the job I wasn't happy with 1 thing and they were back the next day to sort the issue! Overall I am very happy with the new appearance of my house and I have definitely noticed a difference since moving from single glazing to double glazing! Great work!

Disappointed with fitting and service.

Speed not quality. Very poor after sales service. We have had problems with installation of lean-to conservatory by Chatsworth Windows just under 1 year ago. Sent emails but no response. From our experience would not recommend them.

I am absolutely thrilled to give…

I am absolutely thrilled to give Chatsworth Windows a well deserved five-star review. We had a new Orangery installed to our home which has exceeded all of my expectations, as did Chatsworth staff - from start to finish with great professionalism, very attentive, incredibly knowledgeable and efficient. Thank you all.

Chatsworth Windows - Flush windows installed

Chatsworth Windows recently installed my new flush casement windows and they are absolutely stunning, they have transformed the appearance of my home, not only do they look beautiful from the inside and outside, they also enhance the overall energy efficiency and sound insulation of my home.
The team arrived on time and were very tidy. They were professional, skilled and friendly as were the other members of staff I dealt with from start to finish.

Excellent when things aren't quite right

Have used twice in the past and would have rated 5 stars in the past - excellent. Recent experience slightly different but still five stars. The mess to plasterwork when removing the windows was huge and very irritating. The lounge french doors were not as expected (foot clearance). However, the sign of a good company is one that puts things right at their cost. I had a plasterer in for two days to rectify the damage and they came up with a very innovative way of changing the look of the french doors that were in keeping with the other ones we had previously had installed.

Please beware.

I ordered a front door just before the lock down. So nothing happened for a month or two. I stupidly paid a £200 deposit. The next thing that happened was a guy came out to measure the front door. Within a couple of days after this I cancelled the door for various reasons, well within the 14 day cancellation period. Since then I have been particularly ignored regarding this payment. Today some weeks later I have been told I can't have my deposit back because I had a survey... The guy was here two minutes. I pointed this out and they flatly refused to return the money. I thought they were a reputable nationwide company. This is no better than a scamming company. Please consider before you buy from this company. Disgraceful.

A disjointed sale experience meant that…

A disjointed sale experience meant that we, ultimately, moved away from a purchase with Chatsworth.
The initial conversations, reaching a quote via a home visit to measure up was OK...following up, thereafter, was quite disappointing.
We visited the store to confirm our order, only to be told that they didn't hold any details and the guy we needed wasn't working that day.
We tried to reach him a few times but it all just felt too "small company" for our requirements and standards.
