Fraudulent scam - AVOID

On the 20th of January 2021, I messaged them on Instagram after seeing a TikTok video by influencer 'Saff Perham'

I was interested in purchasing one of their sweet pick 'n' mix boxes as a present. They said that the only way to order was through bank transfer. I enquired about using PayPal but against my better judgement, agreed to transfer her the money.

I transferred £6 for a box. She recognised that the payment had been received and said she would post the box soon. After a few days, I checked to see whether the box had been posted, she said it had. After a few more days, she said to wait two weeks. After nothing arrived, I messaged again and she said she'd sort out a refund. After enquiring multiple times, I was fed up, stating I wanted my refund.

She referred me to the refund page on her website where I was told to enter my card details (card number, CVV and expiry date). I refused of course as I am aware that these details are used for online purchases and cannot be used to put money into an account. She claimed she wouldn't be able to see that information. I refused to enter the information multiple times and offered PayPal as an alternative. I sent her my PayPal address and she claimed I had to go to the PayPal page of her website which told me to enter my PayPal password. I refused of course, as I was not about to give this girl my PayPal password. After back and forth for over an hour, I realised I was never seeing my money again.

Frustrated and upset, I searched to see if anyone else had had similar experiences. Low and behold, they had. I found a facebook post by a woman called Charl Elizabeth (look at her most recent post) who had a very similar experience, only she entered her card information and lost hundreds. If you look in the comments of that facebook post, you can see that multiple transactions were made with her card details including £150 on Pretty Little Thing and £100 on an underwear website.

I was lucky to realise that it was a scam and very nearly didn't.

If you have paid her the money and she is refusing to return it without you entering your card details , report her to Fraud Action, Citizens Advice and the Police.

If you have entered your card details, call the bank and cancel it as soon as possible. Then call the police. She will use your card for online shopping.
