I was waiting for a cashier to finish helping a customer who came before me at money market for +- 5 minutes . Constant noise in a residential area
Checkers recently opened a branch in the middle of a once serene residential area. We have CONSTANT issues regarding noisy staff, delivery trucks and Sixty/60 motorbikes. They insist on opening at 07.00am every morning which means staff arrive at 04.45am already. We as residents have contacted customer service countless times as well as the managers of this particular branch. We feel "pushed" out of our own homes due to Checkers not considering the negative impact the constant noise has on us residents.

A huge DISAPIONTMENT
One star is to much for them. Checkers in Estcourt opened a week ago, was n the shop on Thursday and already I’m disappointed in the attitude of the staff. A VERY rude woman at the veg section shouted NO at me when I was looking at the veg combos that was available, left the trolley just their and walked out the shop. Was very excited when the sixty 60 guys arrived yesterday. Was at the shop just now and asked how do I go about ordering cigarettes with my order, two very helpful ladies said I must follow them and they will find out for me. Assumed it was a manager the ladies spoke to a RUDE man and ask him and he just said if it is not on the app you can’t get it. Once again I left the trolley just there and walked out the shop. Guess the excitement for Checkers to open is now a thing of the past. Will stay with pick n pay because I know what service I get from them.

They just DISABLED RETURNS from my app profile. I assume them I am supposed to accept a certain about of damaged or inferior goods, and I should stop requesting money owed to me be refunded into my bank account. I have been very happy with Checkers…Hyper🥶
I have been very happy withy Checkers Sixty60 for years. Its quick the app works well almost all my ordered items are delivered. Until they added hyper. Its so difficult all you items from 1 store with one delivery. Hyper has more items but not the basic groceries. There is provision for returns of a defective product. A very courteous young man called me and areanged for collection then didnt hear anything then Sisanda asks me to return yhe products to the store. Two conflicting opinions on a standard procedures. You are expected to go to the store they won't pick up the defective product.I am very dissapointed as you have 2 days to return an item else its your problem. Don't buy anything from Hyper they dont give the support that Takealot does.

Poor quality of products. Used sixty60 in Melkbosstrand Western Cape. Bread and beef packed in one bag.. Blood dripped out of beef packed sideways onto my bread and other stuff. Laid a complaint. 2 days later ordered again. Lettuce soggy and black. Disgusted with this pathetic service. Never to be used again. Not recommended. You rather take an Uber n go get ur own stuff. Or rather use another store.
Great Location, Poor Service
I used to be a regular at Checkers in Somerset West, Cape Town, but I’ve sadly stopped shopping there due to the poor customer service. You literally never get staff members to assist you — when they do finally help, it feels like they’re doing you a favour, often just pointing instead of properly guiding or offering support.
Good customer service equals profits, it’s that simple. A friendly and helpful team can make all the difference in bringing customers back. Unfortunately, this store is falling short, and it’s affecting the overall shopping experience. Hopefully, management takes note and makes some much-needed improvements.
