Scam letters being sent out

Never heard of this company till today, they sent me a letter saying that their records indicate that I may be due compensation on my previous car finance agreement. 1. What records?? I’ve never had car finance 2. I don’t drive and have never held a licence so why would I buy a car. The conclusion I come to is that they are a scam so please beware

CheckFinance is a scam

This company is registered to a carpark and has had notification to Companies House to be removed from the register.
The company was dissolved in 2021.
Do not recommend. Avoid. No Stars!

I'll reiterate what everyone else has…

I'll reiterate what everyone else has said. I'm glad I checked before pressing the button. I did (many years ago) buy a car on finance but couldn't remember when. I was a bit dubious when I answered 'No' to the question have I ever bought a car on finance and it still wanted me to carry on with the form!

Glad I read the reviews on here. I also received a letter from CheckFinance. Saying I may be due compensation, for a car finance agreement. I thought I don’t remember buying a car on Finance. Defiantly a Scam.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. I received an unsolicited letter with my name and address claiming I could be due compensation on my previous car finance. I’ve never even had a driving licence, much less a car or car finance. I’d love to know where they got my address from.

Phishing scam

Phishing scam. Unsolicited letter with invitations for me to contact and possibly give them my information, but nothing specific to link me to car finance. I'm not sure how 'case review unit' has a signature either. Website doesn't exist and 7 Bell Yard seems to be a business address for 50 different companies, none of which are checkfinance.

Seems to be a scam

As others have said, I received the letter informing me I might be eligible for compensation. Checked the address, which appears to be a dental surgery.

PHISHING & SCAM alert

PHISHING & SCAM alert! Like other people commenting here i've never bought a car using any financing arrangement. There are obvious warning signs with their contact letter: It doesn't have a clear company name, a phone number, a named person to contact, (the letter is issued by 'case review unit'), ANY DETAILS REGARDING A SPECIFIC CAR, etc. I strongly advise people NOT to scan the QR code or to have anything to do with them.

Load of rubbish

Received a letter this morning like many others about car finance. I have NEVER had finance for my car or anything else. Concerned as to where they got this information from. Thought I'd have a look on here about the company and as I thought it's a scam. I was going to bin the letter anyway but was just curious as to who they were. Will report this company to the correct departments
