Consumers are always at risk when buying used or refurbished property; a CheckMEND search before you buy can help you avoid a nasty surprise later. A CheckMEND report will alert whoever performed the search (retailers, corporations, insurers, police or members of the public) to the item’s history and status. You may purchase a used item that works for months or years, but when you try to sell it to a responsible trader, their check with us shows it was stolen before you bought it. This proactive crime prevention doesn’t always make us popular, but it does mean we’re doing the right thing. In the unlikely event that a record reported to us is incorrect, we provide full support to resolve it with the provider. Great service, one minor quibble
Wonderful service, easy to use. I almost gave you a 4-star instead of a 5-star rating because when I signed up, I wasn't warned (or maybe I didn't see) that I would have to wait for an email with an activation link I would have to click before I could use my one free search.
As it was, I went directly to the search and inputted everything, but your service said I had to pay for that search which was confusing because I had been told it was free.
Thankfully, later I saw the email, activated it, and it worked perfectly. Not sure if there's a way to give the person who has just signed up an "can't miss" alert to wait for that activation email before they try their free search
