Chenoweth's collect from the next door holiday let on a Friday evening, On Saturday morning the cottage's cleaners arrive and fill up the bin with a full load of fresh waste.
Cornwall Council refuse collectors come on Monday morning and because it is a commercial property they are not supposed to empty the bin - but often they do. Otherwise the new visitors are left with an already filled bin and nowhere to put their own refuse.
It is absurd.
Chenoweth's should always come after the property has been cleaned, which here would be later on Saturday. The owner of the property has been told, but for reasons unknown seems to think the collecting day cannot be changed.
Why not?

Hi Charlotte, we offer a very rigid service that works for our customers, we are in certain areas on certain days to collect refuse. When customers sign up to our service they are informed at that point which days we are in their area. They then decide if that day is suitable for for them and either sign up to the service or not, your neighbour will have known this and signed up. In addition to this the new legislation that came in requesting that holiday homes need to have a trade waste management service in place is very recent and we have an ever growing customer base in this area, this means that our service is constantly changing to accommodate new customers, as a result of this we may very well be back to the same area the following day to continue the round once demand is established, Its worth noting that your comment is not a complaint about our service, more a complaint about us not turning up on a Saturday when we clearly say we will collect on a Friday. So giving us 1 star for something we have not agreed to do is a little harsh don't you think? you could have just emailed us and asked the question instead of trying to tarnish our good reputation with a poor and unfair review. Just finally its also worth a thought that Covid 19 killed the first half of the years business for us and we had vans parked and people on furlough and then from the 4th July Cornwall's holiday home industry erupted to levels greater than a "normal holiday season" and we have responded extremely well under the very demanding circumstances we have faced. To summarise you may see us Fridays & Saturdays in your area subject to demand which hopefully should address your comments.

Fantastic service for our holiday let. Reliable and efficient. It is so easy to book a single or multiple collections. We only pay for collection visits when we have bookings which means, across the entire year, it works out more economical. It is a big plus for us, that Chernoweth recycle as much as they can and that we are able to leave all the sorting down to them - everything goes in the same bin. I would definitely recommend them.

I can't recommend Chenoweths highly enough. They are extremely efficient, professional, helpful and an example of how a business should be run.
They are very reliable and I am so pleased I found them for my holiday home waste after quotes from several other companies.
I can use my own bin, my own bags, book collections when I want them, put all waste and recycling in one bag (they sort it), receive an invoice at the end of each month to be paid by direct debit and all this for a very reasonable price - wow!

We use Chenoweths Trading for our holiday let Badgers Holt near Redruth. As the holiday let is next to our farmhouse we are here for the fortnightly collection of refuse.
The staff are always polite and friendly. The collection is always on time. No mess, no hassle.
I set how often we need the collection on a simple to use online form. So if we have no bookings, we have no collection to pay for.
I receive the monthly bill by email with a link for payment.
It really couldn't be simpler or more efficient and good value.

We have been using Chenoweths for removal of guest waste from our holiday cottage. The online booking system is straight forward, the team arrive on the days agreed, remove the waste discreetly from the agreed location at your property (useful if you have guests staying) and they sort recycling from household waste at their plant. This means guests can put everything in the black bags - no need for them to separate everything. Chenoweths is a local business & have a 0% to landfill operation which we are particularly keen on, this is why we chose them over others. The service via email, telephone & booking has been exceptional & the price is competitive - I can't recommend them enough.
