Chestertons manages our rental property. I recently had a request and spoke to Ioana Serban in Customer Services. Ioana was extremely helpful and found the information I needed and replied to me on the same day. I was very impressed by her polite, "can do" attitude and the speed with which she responded. I’ve had a really positive experience working with Shanze my new managing agent, particularly during a recent tenant changeover which could have been quite stressful. From the outset, she handled everything efficiently and professionally, keeping me informed and ensuring that any issues were resolved quickly and smoothly.
There were a few challenges with the new tenant moving in, but she dealt with them exceptionally well. Her communication was clear, prompt, and reassuring throughout, which made a big difference and gave me confidence that everything was in good hands.
It was also great to speak with her over the phone — she was approachable, proactive, and genuinely committed to providing a high level of service. It’s clear she takes pride in her work and goes the extra mile to support her clients.

cut throat... they thought my period property was built in the 1980s!! they are a big call centre and never get same agent twice. no continuity. Force you to over valule it and minute said wanted to reduce the price as needed a quick sale they forced me to leave their books...absolutely terrible experience.

I had a mixed experience with Chestertons.
On the positive side, Ryan So was genuinely very efficient during the initial letting process. We were relocating on a tight timeline, and he helped secure the property within just a few days, which I really appreciated. During the tenancy itself, the overall living experience was good. There were a few minor maintenance issues (for example, a bathroom fixture coming loose), but nothing major.
However, the check-out and post-tenancy process was much less satisfactory.
The property inspection was carried out without me being present, and the check-out report took a very long time to be provided. Communication during the deposit return process was slow and often required repeated follow-up from my side.
During the tenancy, there were also multiple occasions where different members of the Chestertons team contacted me at short notice regarding viewings, requests to show the property, or asking me to record videos of the flat for prospective tenants. While I understand remarketing is part of the process, the frequency and lack of coordination made the experience feel disruptive and uncomfortable.
There was also confusion regarding council tax liability after the tenancy ended, which again required considerable chasing before being properly clarified.
Ryan Briggs ultimately helped bring the matter to a resolution, and I appreciate that the full deposit was eventually returned. However, the communication and post-tenancy management experience fell well below the standard set during the initial letting process.
Overall, a good initial letting experience, but a frustrating and stressful check-out process.

Chestertons let my one-bedroom flat quickly and completely stress-free. I had tenants in place very soon after advertising, and the whole process was handled smoothly from start to finish.
The property is now fully managed by Christie Nguyen, who has been fantastic since day one. There have been a number of issues with the flat, but everything has been dealt with promptly and professionally, which gives me real peace of mind.
I really appreciate the balance Christie strikes. The flat is managed efficiently without needing frequent input from me, but she always raises the right issues when decisions or costs are involved. That level of communication and judgement has been invaluable.
Overall, I’m very happy with the service and would definitely recommend Chestertons.

I was panicking about a situation of urgency. Called property management, Briana picked up, told me not to panic and that she would sort it. Within half an hour, 2 separate companies had picked up keys to address urgent issues. I cannot recommend her enough for the customer service she provided!
