We ordered 6 trees in total across two separate orders. One of the trees had an issue (#7f1882d), but customer service handled it well and quickly resolved the problem. Overall we’re happy with the experience and would use again.

The sales staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful in selecting the tree required and arranged delivery on the preferred date. Delivery was made as promised by a very knowledgeable driver who advised on the tree's orientation at the proposed planting site. The tree itself is an excellent specimen in perfect condition. I cannot fault this company and can wholly recommend them.

Great website. Found exactly what we wanted for a very reasonable price. The tree was delivered in less than two weeks from order date. It looks like a beautiful healthy specimen.
I was kept notified of delivery time on the day. The man who delivered couldn’t have been more helpful and knowledgeable. He even offered advice on a beech tree we planted a few years ago that I was concerned about.
All I’m all an excellent experience.

Very pleased. Drove up from Christchurch on Tuesday,selected 5 trees from a huge range. Very helpful assistant. Driving home and get a text saying we can deliver on Thursday for you. Driver Rob called me Thursday morning saying I have loaded and will be on my way to you. Rob arrives at 11.00am and he just run the show.Unloaded,placed the trees where we wanted them sited. Very helpful and informative. Trees look great,and all exceeded my expectations.

They might keep you waiting 3 months for an order, be very inflexible about delivery - and then cancel the day before! Maybe the best idea is to insist that they check their stock when you order

I ordered 2 Cherry trees from Chew Valley trees and I was extremely impressed with the quality, size and condition of them. Ordering was easy, the delivery was quick and the man who delivered the trees was very helpful, giving me extra information and advice of them. I will be ordering more trees in the future from them.

We have bought a few trees from Chew Valley Trees over the years and have never been disappointed. Having moved away we chose to travel back to Chew Valley for a couple of hawthorn trees for our larger, now rural garden. The trees are great and the customer service and advice received was excellent.

Appalling experience.

As part of the planned removal of a hedge we were recommended CVT as, while you pay over the odds for the trees themselves, the knowledge and aftercare made it worthwhile. We were initially happy and spent around £10,000 on trees and planting advice. When within weeks the leaves promptly fell off one of the key trees we were told that this was 'normal' and as long as we took the watering advice it should be fine. Fast forward to a year later some of the trees are still looking decidly unhealthy, we were again told that this was normal and that we should feed with bonemeal (which we did), water regularly (which we have since day 1) and that we 'could' prune to promote growth (which we didn't, as by this stage the only leaves were at the end of the branches.) Fast forward another year and things still haven't improved and we're told that basically nothing could be wrong with the trees they planted and the problem was that we'd either not followed their planting advice (despite it being their planting map that was followed and everything was planted by their people) or that it's because we didn't prune (which was just an advisory comment.) I'm not expecting miracles but basically once the plants are in the ground they've shown zero interest and we've spent £10k on trees that haven't worked. Every step of the way the fault has been blamed on us and yet despite being local to them they've not even offered to come back and view the problems with their own eyes. We regret not saving money by going elsewhere.

Just had a 15 year old Magnolia ‘Susan’ delivered and planted by two ‘top’ guys from Chew Valley Trees, absolutely delighted.

My tree was delivered in the time frame specified. It was well prepared for travel and had no damage to branches or buds. It was a nice shape and at the top end of the hight range specified which was great. A comprehensive guide to planting and aftercare was included with the tree. Great value. I will be happy to order from this company again.

Prompt delivery, courteous, passionate people…. And I got a lovely tree…😃. ….Really helpful advice on how to look after your plant.. would def buy from them again!

We didn't meet any staff not buy a tree but the layout, cleanliness display and range were top class. The purpose of our visit was to inspect examples of species in order to decide our shortlist of suitable trees. The best tree/shrub nursery we have visited by far.

I bought a weeping birch from chew valley trees which was the best value for money and no compromise on quality. They were professional, knowledgeable and helpful throughout, speedy dispatch and prompt delivery, tree was in wonderful condition and is thriving. Would definitely recommend.
