Chewy's pharmacy team provided exceptional service by expediting the shipment of my pet's pain medication, for which I am sincerely grateful. As a result, Murphy was able to spend his final days free from pain. Thank you to Kevin and the entire Pharmacy Team.
Repeatedly fail to deliver
Horrible company. They consistently fail to fill prescriptions, never reach out about problems or delays even with medically necessary items, often have shipping delays, and are full of customer service reps that just say "oops, sorry" and do nothing to help. I tried to order my dying cat a heated bed to be delivered in 1-3 days. It is now 11 days shipping, no one wants to help at all, and it may not get here in time. They have messed up her prescriptions so badly in the past that I have had to cancel orders and drive hours away to personally pick up the medications so I would have them in time, even when I have ordered over a week in advance. They never alert me to issues, they just wait for me to realize the item isn't coming. When you have a sick pet with medications that can't be stopped without severe issues, this is truly unacceptable.
Amazon is significantly more reliable. Mixlab has been more reliable for prescriptions. If you don't care about service or when you will get your items, have fun with Chewy.
Brushing scam?
chewy.com has opened dozens of accounts with fake names and apartment and unit numbers at my address. My postman kindly forwards these along to me... SURPRISE CHEWY! I assume they use these fake accounts in some kind of brushing scam to create false reviews.
Unbelievable - literally - Customer Service and Care
After being a Chewy customer for a number of years our 16 year old dog passed away. I stopped ordering and another 18 months went by before we got another dog. After placing an online Chewy order I had to return a harness, so I opted with the Chat option. The gentleman asked how "Willy was" and I told him this was a new dog and the other dog had passed on. He credited the harness, told me to donate the harness to the Shelter. I was so impressed. This was only the beginning. A couple of days later, we received a bouquet of flowers in sympathy of our dog Willy. My husband and I were speechless. We still are. WHAT a COMPANY. They will always have my business. Just WOW.
Phenomenal customer service!!!
Any time I’ve dealt with Chewy’s customer service for their products including Pharmaceutical products, the CSR have been awesome! They are all knowledgeable, kind, quick to rectify issues and when my girl passed, they were extremely compassionate and refunded me whatever I had ordered via subscription and told me to donate what I had. Phenomenal company and customer service! I highly recommend!!!

Called back a very sweet helpful kind lady helped me put my order thru l did not get her name both employees get 5 stars from us!! 👍💯
Our experience with Chewy has been outstanding and above expectations
Our experience with Chewy has been above expectations. Our dog, Addie, had issues and needed medicine and Chewy was on top of it and help getting the medicine sent with no issues. Addie passed 2 days after Christmas, and I notified Chewy to stop the auto ship of her medicine. No issues at all and the lady was so nice and comforting. Today I receive a gift from Chewy with Addie's name on it. A hand painted rock. This was special and caring from a company that went out of their way for a gift of meaning. I am overjoyed that they cared for our precious Addie. I and my family will continue to use Chewy with other pets and recommend to others.
Kira is gone
When our little girl Kira passed away we called chewy to stop our dog food shipments. They asked what happened we told them and not only stopped our shipments gave us credit for almost 2 bags of food we had left gave us credit for 6 months supply of flee and tick medication and told us to donate it and then much to our surprise sent flowers to our home with there condolences.what a fantastic way to run a company .

If they prescribe your pet medication and you need it fast get them to physically send it to a pet pharmacy near your home as they take FOREVER to ship even tho they said id have it in 1 to 2 days. That was a lie. Now my cat is suffering even more and I have no idea when the meds will be here as they use FedEx to ship (fedex is horrible). I could have picked up the medication after the vet visit at a petsmart or petco. I should not have listened to the chewy vet when she said id get it super fast. that was a lie designed to get me to order it with chewy.

Just tried to order petsafe litter trays. Price was good but it was supposed to give me a 20% coupon for 1st time order. It didn't work. The chat lady didn't give me a code either nor did she go and change the order. I think the coupon was a scam. I ended up not ordering.

Ordered prescription dog food from Chewy they never contacted me to let me know the script was not approved by my vet so now my dog has no food, worst company in the world for your babies don’t trust them I’m out the money till they send it back and can’t afford anymore so I guess my baby goes hungry not good CHEWY you suck
Gift cards never work
On 1/11/26 I attempted to use my Christmas gift cards. One went through without any issues. I attempted to enter in the second one.. You couldn't even read the code. Of course per usual, Customer support was no help. I was told to drive 3 hours and give it back to the person who purchased it... As if that was even an option..Every single time I have attempted to use this worthless company, it's always an issue. I plan to not allow this to slide. I will be contacting the BBB, Attorney General and Corporate office... Give me my Gift card money back!
No meds for Marlan
I submitted a prescription refill for my big boy on Jan. 6. As of Jan. 11 I had not received anything so I called and was told it was being reviewed by pharmacists despite previous refills. Nobody said a word to me about a delay. He is left without meds because of their incompetence.
Inconsistent and Poor Food Quality Can’t Leave a review on google
The cat food over the past several years has been a different consistency than what you buy at other pet stores. The purina dry food would be gritty and brittle. My cats wet food from Royal canine and other specialty brands would be either watery or dried out. This has happened several times now with different cat foods products and it is scary to think what Chewy possibly could be doing to the food or where they’re getting it from when your pets have to be on special diets. This is the last time buying food from Chewy. Petco’s food has always been consistently good quality.
Horrible experience. Order elsewhere if you want it arrive
Horrible experience. Wasted over an hour talking to different people to verify my account and when 2 various people said it was verified, they said it would be shipping in 24-48 hours yet 4 days go by and nothing - just pending charged and nothing sent. Careful to never add a billing address and card with a different name than your partner because apprently you will get thrown around. Called them 5 times. 2x they said I was verified. 1x on hold for almost 10 minutes and it hung up one me. 1x person said a supervisor would call me back. Never happened.

I contacted Chewy support over a week ago regarding a serious issue. During a live chat, I explicitly stated that this was an executive-level complaint. I was ignored, then told a manager would contact me. Instead, the chat was closed with no resolution.
It has now been over a week, and I have received no follow-up whatsoever. This is not a delay — it is a complete failure to provide support.
I am requesting immediate escalation, written confirmation that this issue is being handled, and a clear timeline for resolution.
If this matter is not addressed promptly, I will continue escalating through formal complaint channels.
Fast delivery, nothing else.
The only good thing is they have a warehouse/depot near us, so we get really fast shipping. Received a coupon from them in the mail that expires next week, so I tried to use it. It did not work on anything I had or even tried. It would not tell me why it would not work. Nothing was added that said it would not work with. It stated subject to promotional terms, but not listed anywhere in the mailer or online.
A Company That Cares
I have been ordering from Chewy for years. Orders are always accurate and quick to arrive but they have also gone above and beyond, which is what prompted me to write this review.
Twice now, I've purchased things (food once, then a litter box) that my cats didn't like. They were quick to refund me and didn't hesitate to tell me to keep the product and donate it to a shelter. Now THAT'S a great company!
Chewy’s Wonderful
I have used Chewy for several years now and really find them so convenient. The delivery service is outstanding as I sometimes order very large and heavy bags of dog food. It’s made my life so much more easy now that I don’t have to pick them up and carry them upstairs. Very competitive prices and fantastic customer service. Super nice people!

I called Chewy the other day to change my billing as I got hacked. I reported the change I needed to make. The customer service mentioned our three dogs. I told him Buster was no longer with us he had cancer. We finished our conversation and he acknowledged with a heart felt condolences. Today my doorbell rang and there was a bouquet of flowers from Chewy for Buster. We cried and put the flowers next to his picture on our mantel.
