Chrismechanic, Howi
This is in relation to mobile mechanic chrismechanic.uk and mechanic named Howi.
The mechanic was 2 hours late and didn’t even apologise. He came to my address and yes he fixed my car in under 1 hour but when he told me it would be £100 I told him I only £60 as that was the going rate for diagnostics when I searched online. Yes he fixed the car, but he didn’t convey additional cost to the £60 diagnostic. I don’t have £100 just lying around at home, and I asked if he can come back next day for the rest as I needed to get to work, and he knows my address. If he had informed me of the cost before the visit or whilst doing it, I would have had the correct amount or time to go to cash point while he’s fixing my car, but not once during our communication before the visit or during did he mention it would cost £100. Only once he’d finished up. Then he texts me the account to transfer money in. When I didn’t reply because I’m at work, he then texts me at 10:47 at night threatening to report me to the police.
Please please please, if you still choose to use them make sure you agree on the price first! I’ve never experienced such hostile attitude for a service. Never would I use them again, or recommend.
