They found several well qualified buyers for my individual B&B, and within 12 months I had over a dozen serious viewings, 4 offers and a completed sale. They are, however, quite expensive and I handled all viewings and queries. But I wanted to sell, and I sold, so the value for money is really secondary.

Selling a hospitality business is a huge challenge and patience is the key as there are many potential buyers in this market with dubious motives which can lead to much frustration all round. Tom O'Malley at Christies battled away for us and eventually found a buyer whose intention was to actually proceed and not string us along.
The lesson is to ensure that buyers do really have the means and desire to proceed at an early stage and agree exclusivity where possible.
