Chukkani Reviews

Written by the company

Chukkani is a bedtime story app for kids aged 3 to 8, available on Google Play and the App Store. Every story is illustrated like a comic and read aloud, so children can follow along whether or not they can read yet. Stories come in 7 Indian languages plus English: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali. A child can hear the same tale in the language spoken at home, which makes bedtime feel closer for families across India and for parents raising kids abroad. Chukki, a little cloud who loves bedtime stories, keeps kids company as they read along, tap to hear each page and swipe to the next. What's inside: - Illustrated, comic-style stories built for small screens and small hands - Narration on every page, with the words following the voice - Folk tales, mythology and original stories written for children - Offline downloads for flights and long drives - Kid profiles with age-appropriate picks Built for families: no ads, no chat, and children never type personal details. Purchases and settings sit behind a parent check. You can read one free story every day. A premium subscription opens the full library. Chukkani grew out of a simple habit: a parent telling stories to a child in their mother tongue at the end of the day. We'd love to hear how it's working for your family.
