Bunch of sharks

Bunch of sharks. Refused a Refund of £18. My electronic documents were accepted by YITO but not CitizenCard. They say it was not their fault. They say my money covers their time and costs in doing basically nothing. Bunch of Rip-Off merchants. What a joke in their reply. Typical HMG treatment of it's citizen's that pay for this crap service. YOTI worked so why not CC?

Accuracy and speed

Accuracy, speed, and ease of application. With very simple steps, I was able to obtain my card. I hope that all official bodies will learn from this authority the honesty, accuracy, and speed in completing people's transactions.
All thanks, respect, and appreciation for this wonderful effort. We will continue to make more progress and succeed.

Easy and simple with good service.

I did this for my son as he needed one for a trip to Germany where ID cards are more necessary.
I found the process and system to be easy and quick and the service was excellent with regular progress updates.

Print my name wrong, refused to correct it, refused refund

I received it in the mail, my name was half wrong. I emailed them about a correction which I assumed I'd have to pay for but they just directly refused to, they then said I'd have to get a refund and find another service (there isn't one) and they gave me the email to their refund service, I emailed them and got no response. I had to charge it back with the bank

Blatant transphobia

Paid for the priority service — got nothing but silence for over a week. When they finally did respond, they outright rejected my legally valid deed poll, one that’s already accepted by HMRC, DVLA, the NHS — every actual authority that matters.

They added a middle name I didn’t include — a name I deliberately removed from my legal identity. Who are they to decide what name I go by? What gives them the right to override a deed poll?

What really stings is the feeling that someone behind the scenes looked at my deed poll, laughed at it, and decided to ignore it — like my identity was some kind of joke to them. That’s how it felt. And if you’re trans or changing your name for personal reasons, you’ll probably get the same treatment.

This isn’t just incompetence — it reeks of bias. I’ve now sent two valid deed polls, followed their vague instructions, and I’m still getting nowhere. No accountability, no clear guidance, just gatekeeping bullshit.

If you’re trans, don’t waste your money here. They clearly don’t respect legal name changes unless it fits their personal opinion of what’s “acceptable.”

Shameful behaviour. This is how you push people to take legal action — and trust me, that’s where I’m headed.

County Court Claim Filed

As per my previous statement. CitizenCard have dragged out my application stating they do not accept GP practice generic email addresses and the need the GP personal NHSemail. This was provided then they used an excuse my GP never sent the verification details back (evidence there that they did) I informed CitizenCard I would file a County Court Claim and they never responded.

County Court Claim filed four days ago requesting funds back plus court cost. Requested the online claim to send the Court Documents to one of the directors email addresses then to deliver the actual claim to their registered business address

DON'T buy the £35 option. It takes just as long as their £18 option. Fighting for my money back over two weeks at the date of writing and feel to close the fight quicker, I'll just have to forward all complaints and proof to my bank.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry to hear that your card was delayed in post. Urgent applications have an included option of 1st class post. Royal Mail do state they aim to deliver on the next working day, but this is not guaranteed. When applying there was an option to upgrade your post service to tracked or special delivery. If you chose to remain under 1st class post we cannot guarantee your delivery date.

Do you like being robbed? Then Citizencard is here for you!

I have had a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience with CitizenCard ID. I made my application well over two weeks ago, and paid the fee upfront, expecting a prompt service, smooth application and good communication. However, I have been left unsupported and ignored, with my application (ID: 634065) left on hold indefinitely.

My application was put on hold initially as the photographs of my ID were unclear, however the application process insisted on using a website with poor camera control to take the photos and no matter what manner of lighting or angles or flash/no flash I used, the photos would not come out clear. Therefore, predictably, my application was placed on hold and I was told to expect a message from them soon.

It has been over two weeks since my application was placed on hold and despite sending emails to contact@citizencard. com and postofficepasscard@citizencard. com (their website says to expect a reply in 48 hours), I have been entirely ignored and my application frozen without any updates. I have checked my junk emails and inbox daily and tried my best to contact CitizenCard in other ways, however they provide no phone number or online chat service and have utterly neglected my application after taking my money. I am deeply disappointed with them and at this point just hope that if they won't provide the service that they've charged me for, then they can at least give me a refund, though my hopes aren't high.

In short - I would suggest getting a provisional license or some other form of ID: CitizenCard stop caring about your application the moment you enter your payment information. 0/10 - could not recommend them if my life depended on it.

SCAM !! Ignored 11 Emails While They Timed It Out To Steal My Money !!

SCAM !!! Ignored 11 emails in 48 hours with me asking for contact after purchasing the 1-2 working day service. I believe this deliberate so they can time out the priority service which I don't think exists.

They then started communicating on the 3rd day wanting me to "reset the application" - BEWARE - This changes the terms of your original purchase agreement so you cant get a refund and they can then legally take ages (see below reviews). I refused to let them and they then refused to refund me.

They are angry but they know I am getting my bank to refund me but the bank says I have to wait 14 days. I wish I'd seen all the below reviews first to realize this is just a scam.

CITIZENCARD - Show the public you are not a scam company. I will remove the comments if I am refunded or get the item I paid for. Every day these comments remain on Trustpilot the public know you have scammed my money and you won't give it back.
