Product is good and working great
Product is good and working great. Problem is the customer service from what I have experienced is prompt and there but the integrity of the company has me in question. I Ordered second months supply when I ordered it a discount code was available for 20% off. In haste and carelessness I glazed paste the advertised code on their web site. I went back to site to look at something and noticed the code before even my order shipped. So I reached out and got a response that the code will be applied to next delivery and they asked what was code told them. And they said this code ended at midnight sorry have a nice day.
I’m shocked. These are not the only doctors prescribing this and there may not be a third more expensive dosage. Way to shoot your self in the foot over a 20% discount.
Re: You did not even give me opportunity to cancel order then reorder. As I suggested with a new promo code as I suggested The order never shipped and was not processed yet.and as soon as I said something 15 min later the order was posted but no tracking number. That is real dishonest thing to do and cost you. I have another provider now getting a better quality at a cheaper price due to poor Customer Service and dishonesty. Have a good day.

Don't bother calling this place if you need customer service they will never answer. citizen meds did not respond to my constant emails prior to shipping out my package. I emailed daily to cancel since finding out I was pregnant and didnt want to get charged. The order had not been processed yet and the shipment had not been sent out yet. Instead they ignored all emails and proceeded with the order and charged me.

L-Carnitine Very Effective for Fatigue but Too Expensive
The L-carnitine injections from Citizen Meds have been phenomenally effective for my chronic fatigue. They really work. I’m honestly shocked, because I’ve tried so many other things for fatigue that didn’t help (thyroid hormones, testosterone replacement, NAD+ pills and injections, B12 injections, etc).
After learning that people with chronic fatigue/fibromyalgia often have low carnitine levels due to impaired transporters and poor absorption—and that carnitine is essential for mitochondrial fat-to-energy conversion—I decided to try injectable L-carnitine.
IM injections seemed intimidating at first, but once you get the hang of it, it’s easy. I do wish the instructional video were clearer. It looks like the injection is going into the top of the thigh, but proper thigh IM injections should go into the vastus lateralis (upper outer side of thigh), not straight on top.
The injection itself does NOT burn, sting, or cause post-injection soreness. This was a huge contrast to ReviveRx’s carnitine, which burned intensely and caused painful muscle aching and limping—even though they’re a big-name compounding pharmacy.
After comparing labels, I realized Citizen likely buffers their levocarnitine with NaOH to achieve a near-physiologic pH. They also use a lower concentration (100 mg/mL) and levocarnitine instead of the cheaper L-carnitine HCl form. This clearly explains why Citizen’s injections are comfortable. Major kudos to Citizen Meds for designing a patient-friendly formulation.
Because it doesn’t burn the muscle, it also seems to absorb better and faster, and I feel more noticeable benefits than I did with Revive’s version (at least personally).
The energy boost is not stimulant-like. It’s very natural. Subtle, yet dramatic compared to my baseline fatigue. It feels like an “I’m 18 again” type of energy—I can function normally, feel good doing it, and only feel tired at night when I should. Otherwise, I’m running on all cylinders.
Now for the downside: the dose provided for the price is far too low.
Typical fatigue dosing is roughly 350–1,000 mg per day (often around 500 mg per dose, 2–3x weekly). Most telehealth clinics sell 5,000 mg vials for the same price or less than Citizen charges for a 1,000 mg vial.
I understand Citizen is using a higher-quality, isotonic formulation, which justifies some price increase—but not to this extent. Even accounting for telehealth overhead and better ingredients, patients should realistically be receiving at least 2,500–3,000 mg per vial.
Even with the subscription discount, you’re still getting only a fraction of what local compounders or other clinics typically provide.
At the prescribed 100 mg, I felt maybe a 20% improvement. It wasn’t until I reached ~350 mg that I experienced a true life-changing reduction in fatigue (around 75–80%). But that amount uses about 1/3 of the vial, making long-term use prohibitively expensive.
I’m also not a fan of the forced $22 expedited shipping. Fast shipping is great, but customers should be able to choose standard vs expedited. Calling it a “perk” when it’s mandatory and paid doesn’t feel accurate.
Packaging was excellent. Everything arrived quickly, well-organized, and with needles and alcohol swabs included. However, there was no insert listing side effects or contraindications. Even if it’s “just” an amino acid, patients should receive basic safety information.
Customer service has been phenomenal—professional, quick, and responsive.
Bottom line: The product works, and it works well. That alone is rare. However, the dosing relative to price is the major problem. If Citizen increased the vial amount while keeping the same high-quality formulation, I would gladly become a long-term subscriber and change this to a 5-star review.
For now, I’m giving 3.5 stars solely because the medication itself genuinely reduces fatigue when used at clinically meaningful doses.
