We had a highly disappointing experience with the CitySightseeing hop-on hop-off service and would strongly recommend opting for Big Bus or Roma City Tour instead.

Key reasons to avoid CitySightseeing:

1. Excessive Wait Times: The number of buses in operation is very limited. Although the company advertises a 20-minute frequency, actual wait times can extend up to 40 minutes. At Stop 6, we saw three Big Bus and three Roma City Tour buses pass before a single CitySightseeing bus arrived.

2. Inadequate Seating: Even when a bus finally arrives, there is no assurance of getting a seat. Buses often come already full, forcing passengers to wait for the next one and significantly delaying the journey.

3. Unprofessional Staff: We were traveling with a stroller, and despite visible space on the bus, the driver refused to let us board. No explanation was provided, and we were instructed to wait until everyone else had boarded, which was unnecessarily rude and inconvenient.

Overall, the service felt poorly managed, unreliable, and customer-unfriendly. For a smoother, more enjoyable sightseeing experience in the city, we strongly recommend choosing Big Bus or Roma City Tour instead.

Great tour from Genua to Portofino. The driver was excellent, I felt safe. The tour guide was fantastic, a lot of infos, and good energy.

Had a lovely trip from our cruise in Geona we went to portofino such a beautiful place really enjoyed the trip

Really enjoyed all 4 routes of the Milan bus tour (City Sightseeing). The staff were really helpful and friendly. Found their app really helpful to show you when the buses were due at your nearest stop. I would recommend the 48hr or 72hr ticket to give you plenty of time to explore the city. So easy to purchase through Headout app!

Wonderful driver. Kids had a picture driving the bus! Very kind.

Mauro was the most efficient bus driver we had all day. Got us where we needed to be and did it with a big smile. He made sure we had a great time in Rome.

The tour was wonderful, the guides were very good and patient and the driver was excellent. We made friends and saw spectacular places. Everything was excellent and thanks to Patty we were able to do this wonderful tour.

The time scheldule is one big scam! Only one bus per hour. Way to expensive for this and the app is not working - constantly changing “live timing”. Waiting for ages at the stops even if we followed the time scheldule. Never ever again. Take the other Bus-company with the same routes… can only be better! I would ask for my money back but it would just be even more lost time.

Scam company. The stops are very difficult to find and we were turned away from the purchased tour being told we could get a refund and to contact the company but was subsequently refused.
Avoid!

Very easy way to visit Pompeii. We know that you need days to have the full experience, however we needed at least 30 minutes more in order to follow our guided tour and not to rush for our meeting to leave. Tour guide Nicola was excellent, he gave us useful information for Naples.

Super fun tour!! The guide hit all the spots that was needed, he was so sweet and funny and I learned so much and can’t wait to come back one day!!

What a wonderful experience. Would recommend this a million times. Worth all the money. Our guides were amazing. The bus ride was smooth. Would definitely do this tour again. Wish we had a longer time in Pompeii but it was amazing overall.

Nicolo has been a fantastic guide. Very nice, friendly and helpful. He made great recommendations on places to visit and eat. Be sure to ride the on and off and try to get Nicolo you won't be disappointed. Plus he's cute. Sorry to say while I was very pleased with Nicolo the company I'm very disappointed with. My friend and I purchased tickets for the Pompeii and Naples trip. We were told we'd get an email with instructions which we never received. Which caused us to miss the tour. We were unable to contact anyone. I'm hopeful they will make this right and refund our cost.

Excellent tour with friendly and helpful guides, especially Nicolo and Elena. They made our tour to Pompeii and Naples really exciting. Highly recommended!
