Don't trust this company to ship your order safely. Packaging was atrocious, an expensive ceramic piece was loose in a box and was delivered broken. Getting a full refund has been impossible.

not taking responsibility for delivery

I ordered $228.34 worth of Radko Christmas ornaments on April 14, 2025. As of today I haven't received anything. I called City Lights and was told that the package went out through UPS on April 16th. Great - didn't receive it. The employee brought up the UPS site and, according to UPS, it was delivered to my front door, at night. They never rang the bell so I didn't know it was delivered. Generally, deliveries are placed over my front door gate for security. So basically if UPS doesn't take responsibility for the "lost or stolen" package, I'm out $228.34. You would think that a company like City Lights would be a bit more responsible for merchandise they mail out. Very annoyed.

Impeccable Service and Quality Products

For several years, I have been purchasing Christmas items from this fantastic store, such as the Byer's Choice Christmas Carol characters and some Santa Claus figures. The shopping experience has always been pleasant and satisfying. I feel it is necessary to spend a few words of praise for the wonderful Danielle, who has always been attentive to my requests and has managed the orders to be shipped to Italy perfectly. A heartfelt thank you from Gabriella!

I ordered some pieces of Dept. 56

I ordered some pieces of Dept. 56 for two of my daughters before Christmas, but when I tried to return them after Christmas, I learned that I had a very limited time period to return them and that it had ended. When I tried to exchange them for credit as their site seemed to indicate, I was told that wasn't possible either. Over the years I had purchased many things from them, amounting to over two hundred dollars. I will never do that again as their policy is too extreme for Christmas gifts, and I advise others to do the same.

Horrible customer service and exchange policy.

My husband purchased a Mark Roberts Mermaid for Christmas and had it sent to a neighbors house to hold until closer to Christmas. When I opened it, the left wing was broken. My husband sent an email in hopes of exchanging it after all, it was $159. Received their response, sorry we cannot help you, it's past the 21 day exchange period. Seriously, it's a Christmas present, can't you allow more than 21 days. He will not purchase from them again.

Any company that doesn't offer a refund back to your method of payment is not reputable. Stay away and go elsewhere.

Great job

We ordered some Lemax Christmas village houses. We spent a fair amount of money. I went to the this site through the Lemax website. Never checked a review online. Placed the order. Read the reviews and freaked out. There were no good ones. I got super nervous. But let me tell you. All my houses came, there were perfect and the people I dealt with along the way were super nice. So don’t believe all the reviews. I would absolutely order from this company again.

Is Citylights Collectibles Still in Business?

They purchased some Dept 56 pieces from me in October 2020 and they were excellent. I dropped off more in November/ December 2020 and Brian told me that they were hard hit by the Covid surge and could not evaluate my pieces, but they still have them. They have not responded to my emails and I could not get through on the phone today. Are they still in business?

Rip off company

Awful! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! BOUGHT A WITCH LAST YEAR SND NEVER RECEIVED IT! AGAIN.....AWFUL!

Very disappointed

Very disappointed. Have used them in the past, but will not again. Placed an order 11/23/20 for four Possible Dreams Santa's. First they charged more than advertised, but when shown the ad, they did refund the difference. However, I never received shipping confirmation. On 12/15-17, I sent three inquiry emails that were never responded to. I then called customer service who confirmed the order had not shipped and wanted to look into it further and would get back to me within 24 hours. After not hearing anything after 48 hours, I sent an email to the mgr. Still didn't get an email or Telephone call. However, I then noticed my order was cancelled and a refund sent. I did not want this cancelled--I wanted the items. Now, it is too late to order them someplace else. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Broken ornament poor packed

I ordered a Christmas ornament. It's made of glass with a long thin section coming from the body of the ornament. It was shipped in a plastic bag, not a box, and arrived broken. They wrote and said they have no more of that item and I can either keep it for a 15% discount or send it back for a full refund. What???? I wrote again and said if they don't send me a prepaid shipping label, I'm not returning the BROKEN ornament to them and will be contacting my credit card company. That '15% discount' stuff sounds like the overseas companies that advertise via click bait and totally scam 99% of the working stiffs who order stuff from them.
UPDATE: the company did refund my money.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I made a big purchase with City Lights…

I made a big purchase with City Lights Collectables of Lemax Spooky Town items. Some of the items that came were broken (which is not uncommon as I have purchased them at other stores as well and had the same issue). I am very impressed that they handled the problem fast and made me feel that I was a very important customer. I definitely will be purchasing items through them in the future. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Ripped off ! I placed an order for $2300 of Britto…

I placed an order for $2300 of Britto with this company back in early March and after not receiving any my order and having to continuously follow up on this I asked for a refund. Which they eventually did in May of $945 and no longer would answer my emails in regards to the short fall or send any of my items from my order obtaining to the balance. I have waited 2 months to allow for a resolution before writing this review but enough is enough.
Buyers beware!

Disappointed customer

Purchased a Jim Shore piece as a Christmas. When my wife opened the figurine, she noticed a small chip missing, contacted City Lights customer service, but never got a response from them, very disappointed

animated advent house

In dec of 2014 I spent &139.86 on an Animated Advent House for my 7 month old granddaughter. When received you could open each of the 25 doors and it played a different song and lit up. Obviously my granddaughter could not yet use it. So this Dec I pulled it out of the box and guess what, it doesn't work. When you turn on the switch it plays one song and the lights go out. I emailed City Lights Collectibles on Dec. 7th and then again on the 23rd because they never replied. They suggested I take it to a local train store for repair. Sorry I don't consider that good customer service and there's no way I would do business with them again.
