Does exactly the same as Google Maps. Arrived safely in New York, but left New York with the taxi, as the city mapper had not provided enough information. Would definitely save the time to avoid this... See more

Happy so far

Happy so far. Their customer service has been pretty good. What's a bit annoying is that you can't resume a paused weekly subscription on that same week, even if it's literally just 12:01am Monday morning. I think that should be changed. Also, my partner can't get the app to work for months now because of some weird bug. But for me it's been working ok.

avoid.

Even after the payment they will not filter transaction and you will get overcharged by TFL.
I had to:
Ask a new credit card as the bank suggested was a scam warning.
Asked TFL for a refund that will take 15-20 days to be approved.
Communicated via email with Citymapper with Sarah (that seems she will not transfer you to any other departments, being unhelpful and complicate the entire process to get my money back).

This app is underrated!

I haven't tried their travel card before which seems to be generating a lot of the negative reviews, but that aside, I think this app is underrated! It is much more accurate than Google Maps, and always seems to have the best routes whereas Google does some strange things sometimes.

Super useful app

Super useful app, does load more than the transportation. Take in account the freeload options (rental bike, scooter, cars). Give you super accurate instruction (which wagon to take to be in front of the exits,...). Works all around the world. They keep loading more and more cities!
A must when travelling.

Do not get the travelcard, it WILL cost you more than Oyster

Firstly you'll be lucky if you actually get the physical card, because if you don't and you try to use Apple Pay you have an immediate extra charge on top of the money you've already paid.

Secondly make sure the tap point recognises the apple pay, because if not you will need to wait 4 weeks for a "replacement" card from your original so that you can then register it with TFL to request the refund.

Then if you try and cancel the pass, they'll continue to take the money anyway, you'll need to cancel the DD.

Don't Take the Pass unless you want to be scammed when you want to leave them

Avoid CityMapper Pass for 3 reasons :

1/ Isn't flexible like oyster, Only from monday to Sunday not 7 days fram any starting day

2/ they charged me much more (than oyster tfl rate) for any travels i did out of zone 2

3/ The Worst : they keep take £31 from my account every week while I already stop the pass from the app and used my Old Oyster CArd from months

I sent them all the prove that I was using my oyster card during that time and they didn't answered to me.

They have the history that i didn't tapped in/out proving that the card was suppose to be disabled and

They are very difficult to join them and they don't have any hotline to call in emergency.

I tried to contact Azmat Yusuf the CEO to see how they can resolve this problem .............no feedback

They owe me a lot of money and they seem don't want to resolve it !

Avoid This scam pass if your read me before to take a decision

Not recommended.

I cancelled my subscription the 4th of november but yesterday they charged me for £31. I've documented everything, obviously.

Furthermore, they try to trap you in all possible ways.

1) They force you to pay a minimum of 4 weeks before cancel your subscription,
2) They force you to give them a notice of one week and if you try to cancel your subscription on friday the weeks magically become two.
3) The subscription cancellation is not a snapshot because you must send them an email! No automatic process! In 2019!
4) They charge you every friday but your subscription starts just on monday.

Transparency is not their best value.
