Just received my Cube NuRoad C:62 Pro from CJ Performance Cycles. After being let down twice by to previous outlets, I eventually tracked down the bike I was after. Bought through the Cycle to Work scheme, which was a little confusing to say the least. However, a quick chat with Stephen soon had me all sorted. Cheap deposit too. Had great coms with Stephen and the bike has arrived bang on time. Couldn’t be happier.
I’ll definitely be shopping here again, despite me being down in sunny Dorset.

Customer service laughed at me and were very aggressive.
I noticed some damage to the crank arm and seat when the bike was delivered.
Shortly after I found these issues, I rang and discussed these with the company and was met with aggressive tones, passive aggressive comments, and laughter when trying to explain my frustrations. I was also completely spoken over and not aloud to speak. Stephen then decided to hang up. Truly an awful approach to resolving customer complaints.
Raised the issue with the Managing Director. Waiting for compensation.
Swift, friendly service at a good price
My tubeless tyre all of a sudden packed in on me, it just lost pressure quickly - just before the May bank holiday weekend, yikes! I took the bike to CJPerformance Cycles in Byker, Newcastle, on Saturday morning.
Guys there were super friendly, and although very busy, the mechanic Christoph squeezed me in when I told him I really needed the bike. A couple of hours later, I got a text to say it was all done: both tyres' sealant topped up, new valves fitted (and the sound advice to not eek out tubeless sealant for a year, that was free, errr), all for £25.98. Thank you very much!

Excellent service from CJCycles. Having lost screws from mudguard bridge on my carbon Giant Defy, a Saturday call to CJC resulted in them identifying requirement, sourcing, calling me back Monday a.m. and providing FOC. Absolutely delighted with the help and support given. Brilliant.

Tires don’t look new ,marks on them , a scratch on the rim wheel , lubricant residue left , I had to wipe smears off
Lookin like they didn’t clean up the bike properly, it’s the principle of it all
I was going to be buying another bike for my cousin , well I’m definitely not now

Centrelock disc ring
I had purchased a new set of wheels from an online retailer (not CJ Performance), unfortunately the centrelock disc ring from the old wheels didn't fit the new wheels, i needed an internal thread rather than external.Telephoned on the off chance that they had a couple, managed to find a couple in their workshop which meant i got the wheels mounted and setup, without having to wait for something online. First class.
Avoid
Avoid. Decided to try them as more local than the shop where I bought my bike from and as they were a cube main dealer as that’s what my bike is. Wish I never bothered. Had a service, new seat and pads and discs fitted about £200 at end of august. Service included a ‘3 month guarantee’ on any works done. Seat they fitted wasn’t right and broke and they now saying it needs new pads and discs less than 3 months since they fitted new ones and I’ve probably done less than 50 miles since they were fitted too . Expecting me to pay £300 plus for the privilege. Workshop manager has an attitude problem and zero customer service skills , when he unsuccessfully tried to manipulate me by saying that I don’t look after my bike and it’s been abused/mistreat and ridden too hard and all this other rubbish he proceeded to throw his toys out of the pram and said they wouldn’t be doing me any special favours and to come and collect my bike and then hung up on me. I understand cars , bikes etc and things go wrong but it’s not the problems you have, it’s how you deal with them, the way I’ve been dealt with and customer experience I have received has been appalling . It’s funny how my previous seat and brakes lasted me since the bike was new and around 18 months and then all of a sudden after new parts fitted by CJ ‘Performance’ they last all of 2 minutes and then it’s the customers fault when they start accusing me of abusing my £4000 bike. After experiencing their aftersales service I am so relieved I did not bike a bike from this company . Cube bikes are great , this dealer is not . Avoid . Collected my bike today and was greeted with the same bad attitude so i made my feelings known and that I will not accept being dealt with and spoken to in this way. I said if I was the owner of this business and made a customer feel this way I would be appalled and that it’s a disgrace. I have a feeling the owner of the business was in ear shot of this conversation and was there today and witnessed this all anyway but I am happy to discuss further over the phone or in person if required, I know if it was my business I would want to know and I would not be happy if one of my customers had an experience like this and was made to feel this way. Needless to say I will not be using this place again and certainly won’t be recommending to anyone either , very disappointing .

Urgent Repair
Had a need to use repair workshops, needed repair to be done urgently due to doing a charity bike ride next day. CJ Performance could have been more helpful and professional in my hour of need. 5 star service will in future use CJ Perfomance for all my cycle needs.

This is my first dealing with PJ Performance and I am very impressed. They did a full service and gear rebuild/replace. The bike feels so much better now. Great staff and great service, recommended.

Booked in for service
Booked in for service, told on arrival that it wasn't booked in that day, though they corrected this. They told me that they would need the bike for day and a half, so made expensive arrangements accordingly. Surprised therefore to receive txt 1.5 hours later to say service was complete. Requested a silver service as going touring, they decided to downgrade this to bronze without communicating with me, so work/checks I wanted doing were not done but still had to pay for the lessor checks. They were rude and insulting in the store, they responded to my earlier Google review, suggesting that I was at fault, they failed to see why I was upset when collecting my bike and with their in store comments.
Paid for bronze service not done properly
Paid for bronze service. First time out on bike afterwards at lakes spoke snapped so called into cycle shop at keswick. Spoke fixed advised not to ride far as back brake unsafe as it was sticking, needed stripping down and cleaned out. Clearly not checked at the service. Wouldn’t use again.

After being let down by another bike shop, CJPerformance Cycles supplied me the bike I had bought elsewhere. They went above and beyond to get the bike to me quickly. It arrived well packaged and ready to ride. Highly recommended.
New e-bikes
We picked our new e-bikes, (2 of), up on Tuesday 10th May from CJ Performance Cycle, Cramlington. I can't thank them enough for the excellent service we received. Although we ordered our e-bikes directly from the manufactures, (VOLT), when visiting their showroom, in London, recently, and had the bikes delivered to CJ Performance, we were treated as valued customers, as if we had just ordered the e-bike in store. Chris who attended to us, could not do enough for us, and took the time and patience to fully demonstrate the workings of the e-bikes, including the folding up of them, (being folding Bikes), and battery removal / replacement. As there were two accessory items missing in the delivery, from VOLT, he even phone up VOLT on our behalf to query the missing items, and arrange for them to be delivered to the Store, rather than to our home address, (as we would be away). I must also add, that when CJ Performance telephoned us on the day day before, (Monday 9th May), advising that they had indeed received our e-bikes from VOLT, and that they would carry out the PDI later in the week, I advised that we were going away later in the week, they pulled the stops out and had them PDI'd for us ready to pick up the next day. Brilliant service. Chris also reiterated, that should we have any questions or issue, don't hesitate to contact him. We also purchased in shop, a set of panniers, and he was only too happy to show us how they were attached and removed from the e-bike. CJ Performance will be my to go to shop from now on, not just for the required serving of the e-bikes, but also any accessories or spare parts that we need in the future.
