Seller ships from EU but requires returns to China and refuses proper refund.
Avoid this company. They present themselves as supplying high quality, artisan items. In reality they ship cheap crap from China. They refused to pay for a return for a faulty lampshade even after admitting the item had a manufacturing fault. I had to go through the cashback process with my credit card provider and Clairove had the gall to appeal the decision!
- they are sending cheap products from China, which look nothing like the ones advertised
- shipping costs (to china) for a return have to be covered by the customer
- scam and no customer service
I bought a beautiful light fitting for £217 (Le Verre Stratifié triple layer), having done loads of browsing. I was very excited to receive it fairly promptly. It was dispatched to me on 17/6, two days after I placed the order. However, when I opened the box to fit the light (an electrician had to be booked), I discovered to my dismay that one of the glass lampshades was broken! I immediately contacted Clairové, sending them photos and the customer service was great - the matter seemed to be in hand. On 10th July they said they would issue a replacement. On 18th July I chased this up and was told to expect tracking details and then on 28rh July (still nothing), was asked to re-send photos of the damage! I’ve had no contact since and would really like to know what’s going on with my replacement! The mobile number is never answered and my emails aren’t being acknowledged! If I don’t get my replacement, I need my money back!
Update: I am now in contact with Clairové who are dealing with the delivery company and being very helpful.
I bought £330 worth of goods on clairove over two months ago.
One item was received to the value of £120 whilst the other the shipment was cancelled by the retailer 12 days after shipping.
I was given no reason for the cancellation and provided with no update from the company.
After I asked them what was going on they said they didn't know and after two weeks of back and fourth they agreed to refund me which apparently was processed on the 17th July. It is now august and I'm yet to receive the funds so I have had to raise a dispute with my bank.
Worst customer experience I have ever had. Their customer service number is also just an automated voice message telling you to email them so you can't get through to them.
The five star reviews on here are also very suspicious looking at the grammar.
