  1. Accounting Software Company

Written by the company

Get Clarity is MTD-Ready accounting software built for UK sole traders, freelancers and landlords. Making Tax Digital is changing how self-employed people report to HMRC. From April 2026, sole traders and landlords earning over £50,000 must keep digital records and send quarterly updates — and that threshold will fall to £30,000 in 2027 and £20,000 in 2028. Get Clarity was built for exactly this: simple, affordable software that handles MTD for Income Tax and MTD for VAT without accountant jargon. With Get Clarity you can connect your bank securely through Open Banking (via TrueLayer, an FCA-authorised provider), snap photos of receipts and let the app categorise your expenses, create and send invoices, and see a live estimate of your tax bill as the year progresses — so there are no surprises in January. When a deadline approaches, your quarterly updates and VAT returns are prepared from the records you already keep, ready to submit to HMRC. We believe good accounting software should not cost £30 a month or require an accounting degree. Get Clarity starts at £10.99 per month, with a free trial and no long-term contracts. Get Clarity is developed in London by Notabyte Limited, a UK-registered company (Companies House no. 12567215) registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO no. ZC108811). Your data is hosted on SOC 2 compliant infrastructure and protected under UK GDPR. Available on iOS and on the web at clarityuk.app.

Simple and easy to use

Really impressed so far. Everything is straightforward and easy to find, and it doesn’t feel overwhelming like some accounting apps. The AI assistant has been surprisingly useful for quick questions. Happy with it.
