Visited Clarks Shoes in Newton Abbot today. Excellent customer service from Mandy, who repeatedly went back and forth into their storeroom to get the exact size and colour!

Clarks has always been my go-to for footwear that last for ages. Their traditional leather uppers have a legendary reputation for durability and comfort.

However, they now make most of their shoes using recycled materials. While eco-friendly initiatives are fine, it has become a bit disappointing when browsing.

You see a great-looking pair displayed on the page, but when you click into the detailed description, you find out the upper leather is actually a recycled blend or synthetic substitute rather than 100% genuine virgin leather.

When browsing Clarks online, I now have to be incredibly mindful to double-check the exact materials list before buying.

Rashid from Selly Oak store was absolutely brilliant, friendly and professional. He got a few pairs of shoes out for me, he was patient until I figured out if they suit me or not and tried to offer solutions. He was very helpful.

I have different size feet which makes buying shoes that fit difficult. Jo supported me to find trainers and shoes that would be suitable and safe for me to walk in. I couldn't a shoe that fitted well. Jo went and found a 'mystery shoe' that turned out to be perfect for me. I have a learning disability and Jo made me feel welcome and supported. Thank you

I took my 14 month old Grandson to be fitted for his first pair of shoes which I was anticipating would be a nightmare ! Jo at Lowestoft branch was so lovely with him , she fitted him in no time and we even got him some wellies ! Thanks Jo you are a wonderful person x

I was served by Ciaran at the Clarks Grafton Street branch in Dublin and i have to say he was amazing - really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It was a real pleasure and I am delighted with what I bought. I'll definitely be back!

Great experience, had my son’s feet measured by Jo who was really helpful, especially as my boy has really wide feet. She held the shoes for us, and recommended how often to go back to be re measured. 10/10

Excellent service and a good product!
Bought school shoes for my 14-year-old in the Cambridge branch recently, and I was impressed by the speed and quality of the service, even though the shop was packed with back-to-school shoe shoppers. We found the right pair for us quickly and efficiently, and I was even able to apply my Blue Light Card discount to the purchase. I will return for more school shoe purchases in future

We went to Harlow Clark’s to get our daughter her first pair of shoes. Robbie, our shop assistant was so amazing with our daughter and made the whole experience really special. Although she’s only (almost) one, Robbie spoke directly to her and praised her when she was doing well.

I want to thank all the staff in the store, even just observing them with other customers I could tell it was a lovely team.

Rashid in the Selly Oak branch in Birmingham was really professional and really lovely with my baby when measuring his feet. Also very knowledgable.

I recently rang the Clarks Wakefield store who had a pair of shoes in stock. These shoes were sold out online and really wanted them to go with my wedding outfit.
I spoke to a lovely lady called Sian who along with her Manager arranged for them to be sent to my local store which saved me a 4 hour round trip.
When I went to collect them they had included a hand written card wishing us all the best for our daughter’s wedding.
An absolutely fantastic service and thank you to Sian and all the team who went above and beyond.

We visited the Clarks shop at Bedford Interchange to buy shoes and wellingtons for Nursery. This was my grandson’s first experience of having his feet measured.

We were served by Sayan, a friendly, helpful person, who made everything so easy and straightforward. He seemed keen to do his very best and happy to interact with his customers.

Anna at the Worthing store was amazing, she always puts my autistic boy at ease and is so kind, gentle and efficient. She offered to turn the music off for him and talked him calmly through all of it. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

Ordered a pair of shoes on Saturday for next day delivery, payed the extra £9.95 Didnt turn up , Still waiting for the parcel. Won’t order from here again. Have to wait 5 working days for my £9.95 charge back . They take your money but Cant refund you straight back.

**Extremely disappointing customer service – Clarks Putney High Street**

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at the Clarks store on Putney High Street. The customer service was very poor, and in particular, I found the manager’s attitude and handling of the situation extremely unhelpful and unprofessional.

What made the experience even more disappointing was that I also took the time to raise a complaint directly with Clarks through their website. Unfortunately, I did not feel that my complaint was taken seriously or that the company genuinely cared about resolving the issue.

As a long-standing customer, I expected much better from Clarks. Instead, the way this situation was handled has completely changed my view of the company.

**Clarks has lost a customer because of this experience.** I hope the company takes customer complaints more seriously and looks carefully at how customers are being treated in its stores.
