Older lady at Clarks Joy has no patience and cant be asked !
When you're spending a lot of money you'd like to think the people serving you in the shop are interested in making the sale and will be as polite as you are to them back. The older lady in the Bluewater store (Joy M on the receipt) was disinterested and didnt hide it and had no patience when my daughter was trying on different shoes. I wouldnt shop there again and had she been more polite and friendly I might have spent more. Id rather spend twice as much in another shop than be treated the way she treated us as customers.

Waste of time
We wasted 45 minutes in the Bluewater store today. Was looking for some new school shoes for my daughter and after waiting for our number (which is fine as they were busy, but they did lose track of what number they were on and nearly skipped us altogether) the staff member brought out a different pair of shoes than we had asked for and promptly disappeared to help another customer. I alerted another staff member and she went ti get the correct shoes. After waiting a further 5 minutes, a third staff member came and gave us a box, which were similar but also not the shoes we had asked for.
We tried these on anyway and at my local Clark’s they have always spent time to check the fit of the shoes, I thought the seemed a bit tight so we waited for a staff member to come back to us to fit them, but although the rush had died down and there was not another customer in the children’s section,, all staff members had disappeared into the back. After waiting a few more minutes, we left with nothing.
A complete waste of time, and will now need to go into our local town tomorrow. I like to go to Clark’s for the quality of service but shoe zoned would have been preferable today.

I was served by Katie at Bluewater (2353) on 27/05/25 and she was excellent. She was very knowledgeable, knowing the exact shoe I wanted, very helpful, very courteous and not to mention very beautiful. An excellent service from an excellent member of staff, a superb asset .
Very unhelpful
I visited Clarkes, Bluewater on 12 January 2026 at around 5.15pm with my grandson. I asked a lady assistant if she could measure his feet. This she did and told me his size. I asked if there was anything left in the sale. Her reply was "Anything left is over there" whilst waving her hand. There wasn't anything in his size so I approached her again to ask what they had in his size. Again she replied "You can choose from over there" waving her hand. There was one pair of boys shoes as far as I could see. She made no attempt to engage with me or go to the stock room to see what they had in stock. Most unhelpful member of staff so we walked out and bought a pair of shoes from John Lewis where the member of staff who attended to us couldn't have been more helpful. What a difference. Shame on Clarks at Bluewater.

Great service throughout
Ordering online was a breeze, and I received both a text and email notifying me that my order was ready for collection. Picking it up in-store was quick and hassle-free. I inquired about shoe care products, and the assistant at the Bluewater branch was incredibly helpful, taking the time to explain the products and how to apply them.

We went to the shop to experience a special shoe picking appointment. It was like a cattle market in there and we were rushed through. They had about 30 pairs on display and none of the shoes I picked were available so I ended up spending £45 on shoes I didn’t want.
My daughter wore the shoes and in the first 2 days a giant scuff had developed, the shiny material had ripped away (about an inch). I emailed customer service and they took 3 weeks to reply. Just saying I need to return them to store which is 45 minutes drive each way. Definitely not “the quality I expect” won’t purchased from there again.

I had a fantastic experience thanks to Reggie, who helped us when we were purchasing school shoes for my daughter. He was incredibly patient, letting us try on multiple pairs and even suggesting different styles and options until we found the perfect fit. My daughter has now been wearing her shoes for a few weeks and still tells us how comfortable they are. We’re so grateful for Reggie’s time, patience, and excellent service—it really made the whole process stress-free.
Clarks at Bluewater
I went into the store at Bluewater with my son to look for school shoes (last minute because his feet grow so quickly!).
We were seen by Letattia who was not only very friendly, but also helpful and knowledgeable. Despite having no doubt dealt with the back to school rush over the past few weeks, she was very happy and spent time ensuring everything fit perfectly. She advised on using insoles which helped the comfort of the shoe and was very patient whilst we tried on different styles.
Some might say this is what you should expect from people who work in retail, but I have had many experiences where this isn’t the case.
My 7 year old son even said “wow she was really nice” which says it all!!
Stress-free back-to-school shopping
We had the best experience we’ve had for back-to-school show shopping at Bluewater with Stella. It’s usually highly fraught with no shoes seeming to fit, but Stella was calm, patient and reassuring and we didn’t feel rushed. She took the time to ensure we were all happy.

Online order for trainers delivered…
Online order for trainers delivered following day £75 plus £6.99 delivery charge. Arrived but didn't fit so returned to store but advised no wide fitting in this trainer . Refund less £6.99 and said to cashier gosh £7 for online experience I won't do that again. At this point the so called male Manager said "we don't refund postage nor does anyone" as he walked away from the till. Rude and arrogant! I went to Clarks at Dockside and purchased the very trainers in wide fit together with a pair of sandles total cost £80. Great customer service total opposite from Bluewater.

wrong size shoes and rude employees
yesterday, me and my partner entered the bluewater store which was not busy. we were not served until we were sat down waiting with the shoes, we were not helped just left to it and the sales associate got our £200 sale. when i got home i looked at my shoes and i had been given 2 different sizes- a 4&5, it’s the policy that you are meant to check the shoes before they are sold to ensure this doesn’t happen.
today, he called the phone number and a woman picked up and sorted the situation however was very rude and hung up mid conversation.

A worker named Leia huffed and seemed overall unhappy to help me even though it’s her job. I asked her a few questions regarding shoes and she said underneath her breath “brain dead”. I find this quite offensive as I am disabled and will not be coming to Bluewater Clarks again.

The boots were uncomfortable, Clarks didn’t accept the return!
The boots were uncomfortable, and after once wearing it in office its got so many scratches on the heels, I took it back to Bluewater Clarks to return it, the manager was like oh its not a actual problem that is uncomfortable, u cant return. Disappointed in clarks. Wont use the boots!

On line order, misinformation about delivery. Unable to find my order. Told to go to the shop and ask them. Order was located and when I opened the box the boots had clearly been worn. Shop assistant was very helpful however.
