Clarks - Ormskirk Reviews 15

When I was a kid I grew up on the Clarks brand so I was really pleased to see a branch open up in Ormskirk. Now every year I put a load of money into Park Hampers and my Love2Shop vouchers had come through. I am a sucker for a bargain.

So on 9 October I bought Motion Trek LX Black 9 G shoes normally costing £70 for £49. I tried them on in store and they were so comfortable you will not believe. Although the normal price is £70 if they had charged me double that I would have said that was a great value. When you walk with them on you feel as if you are walking on air. They are so comfortable.

The staff were kind enough to recommend a shoe horn and some protective spray for them and I was very grateful for that.

I also bought another pair of trainers just after Black Friday. I am an aerobics instructor and I go through trainers like there is no tomorrow. Normally they don’t last me more than three months. I am now writing this review in February and those trainers are just as comfortable and feel just as new as the day I bought them!

My next purchase was on 15th January 2026 when I bought some Courtlite2 Lo Navy Suede 9 G (Standard) trainers. I paid for them instore and ordered them. They said they’d arrive soon. They arrived at the store like clockwork within 48 hours.

Now I am a personal trainer and I do outdoor fitness classes. Trust me when I say these were just what the doctor ordered. They are so comfortable, they give your feet a lot of support and protection and they were well worth the money. I paid £40 for them but they are of such high quality I would have gladly paid £400 for them.

Now I wanted to buy something special for my better half and I saw a gorgeous handbag. I bought it for her and trust me I was in her good books!

I have also recently made a purchase of another pair of trainers in the last few days.

Now as you can see I have bought quite a lot of footwear from Clarks in Ormskirk recently.

To say the very least their level of customer service is second to none.

The quality of their items is of the highest quality. I speak with incredible authority. As an aerobics instructor I can go through a pair of trainers in about 6 weeks. The ones I bought in November 2025 are still as brand new now as they were then despite incredible usage.

So the usual questions.
Would I go there again? In a heartbeat.
Are they worth the money? Good value at ten times the price.
Would I recommend them to someone else? Yes, of course.
What would I advise the public? No matter where in the UK you are please make Clarks your number one footwear provider.

As always, the staff were great: attentive and fun.
My daughter loves coming to Clarks and has always wanted to go to the stockrooms.
Our shoe fitter Katie humoured her and took her on as apprentice, getting her to choose and carry her own shoeboxes.

Popped in today with my daughter who was looking for a pair of books - something she doesn’t usually wear. The sales assistant, Russell, was really helpful and patient, offering advise and options. She found just what she was looking for - thank you.

Having shopped in this store for many years I was appalled at managements’ attitude last week when I returned a pair of shoes that were worn through after only 3 months wear. Both the manager Danielle and assistant manager Russell were extremely unhelpful. They said the shoes had “heavy wear” which is not true as they are only worn 25 hours a week for work in a hotel. I was made to feel like I was lying and being unreasonable asking for assistance. I was accused of being confrontational when I was not - I merely asked for reasonable assistance given the poor quality of the shoes. The manager lied and said we were advised not to buy the shoes in the first place and this is totally untrue as I was originally planning on ordering them online but she asked me to order through the store so that she could have the business. I did this, trying to support a local store and then when I needed help I was made to feel like a criminal. Management suggested that I was being unreasonable expecting shoes to last more than 3 months. They told me to contact customer care but then refused in store to give me the telephone number. I found it online and rang from the store. Customer care were excellent and very apologetic - both of the quality of the shoes and the attitude of the staff in store. I was asked to send photographs which I did and they refunded me in full the next day which says it all really. Management need training in customer relations and selling their brand. I will never purchase from the store again.

Amazing service for my two daughters this morning. The staff are always brilliant but today we had the pleasure of Olivia who was so patient and thorough with both the girls. She offered lots of options and the display was so tidy and easy for children to choose from. Thank you as always!

The staff at your Ormskirk branch are always helpful & courteous. We both bought shoes from the store. You don’t feel pressured but they are attentive.

Amazing customer service, many thanks to Robyn and Dannie. Recently my 9 year old son returned from school (and presumably some over enthusiastic football) with one of his shoes looking more like the mouth of a cod fish than a shoe. The sole was completely destroyed. Disappointed the shoes hadn’t lasted 6 weeks we went back the store and no problem, no questions, no quibbles just a proper assessment of my son’s feet and shoe size to check the fit of the completely free replacement pair. All done on the way home from school in less than 20 minutes. We’re never going to another show shop. Dannie, Robyn and Clark’s shoes get 10/10 from us.

I often pop into the local Clarkes store in Ormskirk, and every time I’m greeted with a warm welcome from Danny, who is always so happy and positive. The staff are incredibly helpful and engaged, going over and above to make sure you get the right shoes for you.

Recently, I took my four-year-old son, Teddy, in to get school shoes. The shop was really busy, as it was the end of summer with lots of children in. Despite the hustle, Danny greeted us warmly and made us feel special. She quickly asked Tayla to serve us, and Tayla immediately measured Teddy, even though the shop was full.

Tayla was so kind and friendly, hyping Teddy up while he tried on shoes. She really helped him choose a pair that he absolutely loves! It’s a great store to pop into, with a lovely team and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

What a fab experience in Clark’s Ormskirk today. It was the height of busyness due to back to school activity but the lovely sales assistant Thomas H went out his way to help and support mum (90 years young)) to get the right shoes in the correct size and fit. He was the most pleasant cheerful chatty and helpful shop assistant I have come across in along time. Well done and thank you Thomas!!!!

Great service and fitting from Claudia for my 2 kids. Listened to what we said, offered really helpful advice and made sure the shoes were a really good fit. Great job.
