Popped into the Clarks in Skipton because our daughter needed some more school boots and we wanted to get her ones that would hopefully last a little longer. We walked into the store and we're the only customers in there. After a quick browse we saw some boots and asked for our daughter's size, to which then then asked if she was an F or G or some other letters. We didn't know what this meant and said our daughter is a size 13 to which the shop keeper then said we couldn't buy the boots without bringing out daughter in for a fitting. We said we'd be back the next day but walked over to sports direct where we were not questioned on shoe size, we asked, they got and we purchased. Nice and simple. If you don't want your store to be empty on a daily basis you need to look at your sales tactics and realise they're outdated and ridiculous. Refusing customers because they think they know better. Jokes on you we'll take our custom elsewhere.

Had a fantastic experience in the Skipton store this weekend. We went there to have our son fitted for his first pair of shoes. Molly and Abbie were brilliant, offering toys as distraction while he was measured, very professional fitting and knowledgable on the stock available great with our son. He had a little fall while testing out a pair and they were very sweet and got a cold compress, logged it as an accident and rang to check on him the next day. Really felt they went above and beyond

Very helpful staff in Skipton store, when I collected some shoes which were a little bit too big, sorted out to return them and re order smaller size with no fuss

This may be the best shop for children’s shoes in the world! Our little boy has some mobility issues and the Sunday staff are so knowledgeable and patient in helping us getting the right shoes. It’s made a big difference. Thank you.

I booked an appointment online explaining it was for my disabled son who is hearing & vision impaired, as well as having behavioural issues.
When we arrived, staff were prepared and had allocated a space for us. Rob dealt with my son and was perfect in his manner, staying calm and checking my son's understanding with myself. He even dimmed the lights to make the environment calmer for him.
I was very impressed and I'm certain as a result of Rob's consideration my son was able to cope perfectly with the experience. I was so grateful.

I went to Skipton Clarks store on the Sunday (29th) to get my little boys feet measured. He had one but refused the other - the lady was so lovely and patient, she told us the size she believed he was but told us if we ordered to store what we wanted they could check the fit too once they came. We did exactly that and it was a shame she wasn’t on shift as I wanted to thank her - she went above and beyond and gave exceptional customer service!

I've been using clarks for nearly 10 years but due to my local store closing I've had to use an alterative store. Today was my first time to the skipton store to see if they could sort an issue out with my son's school shoes. They were very welcoming and listened to my concerns and it made things easier as I knew two of the staff members from my old store. They exchanged my son's shoes for some new ones and they even measured his feet to make sure he hadn't grown. And im thankful they did as he'd actually grow a full shoe size. They reasured me that if the same issue happened again just to come straight back and they'll sort it without any problems.

The assistants here were amazing with our 2 grandchildren, age 3 & 5.
They were so patient whilst measuring their feet & were really friendly to the children.

I encountered an issue with a slightly worn pair of brogues. Having bought them quite some time ago, I assumed that returning them would be challenging. Nevertheless, the staff at the Skipton store were empathetic and reassuring, which alleviated my concerns. The problem was addressed promptly and efficiently, leading to a completely satisfactory resolution for me. My thanks especially to Leanne and Natalie

When the original pair of chukka boots that I ordered online arrived, they looked like a mismatched pair. One was fine, the other was damaged and discoloured. But I liked them and they were a good fit.
I returned to the store, Skipton, and asked if they could replace them.
They could not have been more helpful. Firstly, the manager Leanne called around nearby stores to find a pair, she then arranged to have them delivered to the store and called me when they were in. She also honoured the original offer price.
When I returned to collect, the staff were friendly and helpful. Good job all round!

I bought new boots from your Skipton store last Saturday. The assistants were so helpful and professional. The store was very tidy and the staff welcoming making it a pleasure to shop with you.

We were having a day out in Skipton and decided to get our son’s feet measured to get him some school shoes for September. All staff in the store were really welcoming and the store is really set up for children’s fitting with colouring sheets to use for whilst you wait. Our son is quite lively but can be shy with new people. Tori put him at ease and he sat well to be measured and then she helped us to look for a pair of shoes to suit him. Whilst we looked at the choice of shoes he coloured and then Tori went to get the shoes and helped with the shoe fitting. She really was lovely with our son and was generally a very helpful and friendly person. A wonderful experience all round.

Lovely, friendly staff with my children. So understanding with additional needs. They had colouring and toys to help the children. Great service! Thank you!

I visited the Skipton store on Monday and was helped by the manager, I think, or supervisor. She was very polite and patient with me and made me feel very comfortable.
She managed the store well and helped the other staff whilst I was there but always remained attentive to me and my questions. Very knowledgeable and gave me confidence in the store. Thank you.

Absolutely disgusting service. Shoes were measured incorrectly & cut my son’s foot! The manager Sophie was beyond rude and refused to help. Will never be using Clark’s again.
