I had such a lovely shopping experience in Clarks Southend - I would like to highly praise Joanna who helped me with a return and choosing an alternative pair of trainers. She was so patient and thoughtful and really listened to what I needed.
I will definitely shop there again.

Firstly this is NOT a paid review! Due to mobility issues I have been purchasing Clark's shoes, amongst others.
I purchased a pair online hoping they would fit knowing they were 1/2 size too large. Unfortunately they didn't so I returned them to the Southend on Sea branch for the refund. GEMMA dealt with my refund but managed to track down the same in my size and one other. Both of which weren't available online. Her service was above and beyond and instead of returning one pair of shoes in effect I bought two more! Well you're a long time dead.

I would like to say a big thankyou to Vanessa at the Southend branch of Clarks. I am disabled and it takes alot longer putting foot wear on or off. Vanessa was very kind,patient and so helpful, as I tried on many pairs. Many shoes later I found 'the ones'. It is so refreshing not to be judged on disability or the extra time afforded because of it. Well done Clarks!

Joanna measured our son’s feet, recommended shoes on what we were looking for and helped fit them. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and approachable.

I had my son’s feet measured and the staff member went to get the sizes in the 3 styles he had chosen from the stockroom. The member of staff was gone quite a while and when the returned they had brought 2 shoes we asked for and a random shoe. The random shoe was 1/2 size too big and nothing like the chosen styles. Every time I go to Clarks, rather than tell me they don’t have a size or style the grab some old stock and try to sell that instead!

Vivian was extremely helpful and patient in helping my son find school shoes that are comfortable and fit him well. We appreciate and are grateful for her very kind assistance.

Vanessa was absolutely brilliant with helping my daughter get her very first school shoes. She was so caring and patient. She did the measurements and helped us find the right school and PE shoes, ensuring my daughter’s feet fit correctly and were comfortable. She made the experience really wonderful. She was an absolute gem.

Also, the entire shop staff were very professional with others that came in. Huge shoutout to Nicole who welcomed us at the door.

Sophia was very helpful, spent absolutely ages with us whilst my children tried on many, many pairs of shoes.

Vanessa offered incredible service from the second she said hello. Lovely lady and so helpful. Super friendly. If only all shop assistants at all stores were as fantastic and offered such a great service. Thank you

Oliver was really helpful today, my daughter is quite a challenge and he was great with her :) Thankyou and must say the manager is one of my favourites, been coming to Clarks for 12 years now and I love it wouldn't go anywheres else

We had a successful trip to Clarks. We were served by Olivia who was very helpful and polite.

We were assisted by Billy at the Southend Store. He was knowledgeable, bought alternatives, tried to order sizes out of stock and was great with children.
We left with 3 pairs of shoes for the children to start school in September.

I received excellent customer service from Vivian today.
Vivian was very patient with my teenage son. Vivian offered different styles and sizes of men's shoes. Vivian also advised us on benefits of wearing insoles
to ensure my son has the right fitting shoes for school.

We received excellent customer service from Joanna, who really went above and beyond to ensure that my elderly mother was given a patient, supportive and most helpful shopping experience. As a result of Joanna’s help and guidance, my mother chose two pairs of shoes, which she is extremely happy with.

Lovely fitting assistant, but let down by someone I assume was the manager. Daughter needed pop-socks as we came in sandals - assistant advised she could keep the pop socks as they are single use. Youngest daughter (3) took a pair also. Whilst getting our things together I was shocked to hear the manager exclaim ‘could you NOT let her do that please?!’ - I apologised, thinking perhaps she had pulled lots out of the box, or made a mess- when I looked she just had a pair of pop socks on her hand. ‘We have to pay for those! She has taken two pairs out!’ She went on to sternly inform us.
Whilst I understand small children can be a little irritating, I would suggest that working in a children’s section of a shoe shop is possibly not the best career choice for someone with such little patience, or customer service skills for that matter. Ironically, I worked in Clarks children’s shoe fitting many years ago - I can’t remember I, or any of my colleagues ever needing to be so rude or unpleasant to a customer.
I have bought school shoes, sandals and trainers from Clarks for many years - mainly because of the warm welcome and customer service. I won’t be going back.

Joanna was really helpful. Made sure my daughter had the right fitting shoe and tried various styles until we found just the right ones.

I visit today best service wellcomeing staff, specialy joanna and Nicole make my shopping day, Highly recommend clarks is best staff in Southend branch 10/10

What can I say, I am so glad I chose Clarke's in Southend-on-Sea. I brought my daughter here the other day as she needed a new pair of shoes. My daughter always struggles to make choices because she wants every shoe in the shop but I am so thankful for Nicole who was so good with H. She was so patient, kind, calm & and we didn't feel rushed to make any decisions. She measured my daughters feet and showed her the shoes in the shop which were suitable for her. My daughter left the shop with her new pair of shoes very happy she cannot wait to wear them to school. Thank you so much Nicole we will deffo be coming back for my boys first ever school shoes in September 25!!!

Both my boys started school in 2023 and 2024, and we took the boys to the Southend store. Both times, Nicole was happy to serve us, very helpful, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the shoes and what would work for the boys sizing! Highly recommend anyone shopping here!
