A good platform
A good platform for language learning. Easy to select tutors, and easy to book/change lessons.
Generally nice, but could use some tweaking
Like:
*Occasional promotions
*a wide variety of teachers
*the simplicity
Dislike:
*the search needs more filters
*the design could use some changes: for example, it's not obvious how to use the "tabs" during lessons (first-time users shouldn't have to waste time learning how to navigate that), should be able to access class notes from my page
*all in all, the general UX could use some adjustments
Clasgap is a site for porn
I gave one star only because this system doesn't allow me to give none. They don't deserve even one star.
This company has no respect, no security, and they are not a serious company. I signed up as a tutor, and the only lessons that some "students" booked were two no-shows and two instances where sick men wanted to use the site for pornographic purposes.
I constantly receive messages from "interested people" who want to offer outside translation jobs that are obviously scams. Not to mention other propositions.
The site (Classgap) requires you as a potential tutor to provide a significant amount of information so they can "be sure you are who you say you are," but they don't implement the same level of scrutiny for the alleged students.
I'm done with this site. It's a joke of a site, and they are probably a porn or something website disguised as a tutoring platform.
Trustworthy and helpful
I am very satisfied with classgap and my teacher. In the beginning I had some problems with my schedule but they immediately helped me. Very friendly customer service and competent teacher.
English lesson experiences
Had a great experience with my English tutor and the lessons are enjoyable and engaging.
Experience is Good
Very easy to manage
Everything in the app is super understandable and it has lots of very useful functions.
I would recommend ClassGap with any doubt
After trying different teachers, each one with their own methodology, finally I have found THE TEACHER, Ess, who fit perfectly with me and my needs. I am very happy to see my progress avery day thanks the great work of Ess. The platform is very intuitive and easy for navigating. You can addapt your classes according your availability.
Cancellation policy
I am a teacher on ClassGap and noticed on several occasions that this website favours students over teachers.
The worst thing: Students always have the possibility to reschedule a class, even 5 minutes before the start of a class they can spontaneously change their mind.
Now the terms and conditions of ClassGap state that students have up to 8 hours before the class to make cancellations or reschedule, but in reality nothing is done to enforce this rule.
The system keeps allowing students to do what they want, when they want.
The support team told me I have to contact them so that they confirm a class that's been spontaneously cancelled. But each time I do that, the students will write me angry messages asking me why their class has been confirmed. Every week I find myself in a discussion with somebody else who thinks it's okay to stand up their teacher like that.
The system on ClassGap does not work according to their own terms and conditions. They should implement a mechanism so that classes can't be rescheduled after the cancellation period of 8 hours has passed.

DON'T TRUST CLASSGAP!!
I strongly suspect that the positive reviews here are fake. For me at least, Classgap has turned out to be a profoundly dishonest company. The teachers very often simply fail to appear to a scheduled first lesson, even when paid in advance. And then Classgap first wants to consider your money partial payment towards another teacher, as if you consider all the teachers to be perfectly interchangeable. If you insist, and only if you insist, you may get the money back, but Classgap keeps a portion as its processing fee or some such nonsense. I won't be using Classgap again.

Connectivity issues and poor communication
I’m extremely frustrated with the service I’ve received from Classgap. Despite ongoing technical issues with your platform, which do not occur on other tools, Laura cancelled an upcoming session without informing either myself or the tutor, completely wasting both our time. Additionally, all future sessions were cancelled without any explanation. When I asked to escalate the matter to a manager, she refused. The lack of communication and accountability has been incredibly disappointing, and I can’t continue with a service that treats customers this way.

Don’t even give the website a try. You will regret it
I tried some teachers on Classgap. The majority is totally unreliable.
For 7 classes with one teacher (yes, I made the mistake and booked a bundle!!) I scheduled about 25 different classes and sent over 50 (!) messages. The teacher changed the time or cancelled several times, in almost all cases just a few hours before the class. Now I even check classgap several times before a lesson if the teacher has not cancelled the class - again.
Worst! I am not exaggerating!!!
Don’t even give this company a try. You do not want to spend more time scheduling classes than having actual classes…
There are much better websites out there.

Worse support team and unfair terms and condition( Be careful!!!)
Worse student support.
Poor communication and updates by support team(namely Dione),takes longer time, even ignore following up emails, with no updates to student or addressing the concern, very stubborn attitude.
I am really disappointed with Classgap's handling of connectivity technical issues that I faced. Despite paying for a class, platform connectivity issues disrupted my session, and customer support offered almost no compensation( simply asking to change the teacher but doesn't address platform connectivity issues). A fair policy would accommodate such cases, but the rigid rules and terms and conditions leave student unprotected and out of pocket for issues beyond their control.

Had a singing class with Cintia…
Had a singing class with Cintia Elizabeth she could not take me at the day & time I had scheduled so she changed the day to a Saturday which I approved she never entered the classroom she messed up on the schedule and had it on Sunday which the class was never taken I did not expect her on Sunday and she had the nerve to complete the class. I guess her time is more important than mine.

This platform is a total nightmare
This platform is a total nightmare. I scheduled a whole week of lessons - and planned my entire life around these lessons. Then the tutor canceled. It took many emails to get my spent money to be put in a "balance" because there are no refunds - which is fine because I WANT a tutor. I scheduled more lessons with a new teacher, and then the administrators canceled the lessons 10 minutes before it was to start. The teacher and I were planning on the lesson. DO NOT USE!!!!

In theory, works well. In practice, not really.
I purchased a group of lessons for a teacher but the teacher never responded. So I contacted customer support that gave me store credit for the purchase price which allowed me to find a different teacher. The 2nd teacher also didn't respond. By that time, about three weeks had passed, so when I asked for a refund I was told I waited too long (14 days is the max) so if you're thinking of buying Classgap lessons, just pray that your teacher actually responds because if you wait patiently, you'll actually be out of luck (and money, like I am).
I'd say avoid this company.

Fishy automatic charging from your credit card
Be very careful. They will tell you that you did an automatic renewal, charge the money long before the lesson packet ends, and then, when you find out, they will tell you that 14 days have passed and it is impossible to return it.
There is no place on the site where you can see payments and receipts.
