What a transformation! Top Notch Work

I needed my kitchen re-designing and the tiny cloakroom (which contained just a toilet) turning into something a little more luxurious. From the start, Stuart gave a lot of advice and ideas to ensure we optimised the space available.
His attention to detail is impeccable and he suggests ideas to enhance the finished project. For example, the two indoor steps have a stone topping on to add a feature and blend in with the age of the property. The coat closet had the door replaced with a cottage style door; this has created more space inside and is a much smarter look. Its not until you start working on a project that other issues come to light, but you are forewarned that this can be the case - and it was!
The kitchen ceiling was artex and curved but had suffered from a number of roof leaks. Stuart cut out the damaged part, repaired it and then replastered it – not an easy task on a large, high, curved ceiling. Several of the walls needed replastering/saving, hot and cold water pipes needed redirecting or replacing and the electrics all needed to be reconfigured.
Another suggestion of Stuart’s was to utilise the unused space near the back door so the kitchen would have room for a breakfast bar. That space now houses the washer, tumble drier and a storage cupboard all in the same style as the kitchen units.
The small cloakroom now has a bi-fold door (a Stuart suggestion!) otherwise the door would have to open outwards on to the landing. The outside wall of this room was crumbling away so that had to be rebuilt and rectified, but again, Stuart just took it in his stride. I now have a beautiful cloakroom with panelling on one wall, hot and cold water, a sink and a radiator!
Stuart is very skilled in all aspects of the trade. Unlike some who work on 2-3 jobs at a time Stuart commits to yours until its finished. He works to very high standards, has a good eye for colour and detail and takes pride in his work. He’s easy to approach and answers all questions clearly. He’s a trustworthy, likeable person to have in your house and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you Stuart for making my home a home!
